This week Mark got to speak with Ted Vickey and talk all things fitness tech and look at how can we make exercise and healthy living accessible for all.
Ted Vickey, Ph.D., is the Founder & President of FitWell, Inc., a San Diego-based consulting company specializing in entrepreneurship, innovation and emerging technology within the fitness industry. He is also a professor at Point Loma University in the Master's program in the School of Kinesiology. From 2004-2015, Dr. Vickey was the Executive Director of the White House Athletic Center in Washington, D.C. during the Bush, Clinton and Bush Administrations, serving the health and fitness needs of the President and his staff. His Ph.D. research combined social networking through Twitter, physical activity and mobile technology. Dr. Vickey is an emeritus member of the board of directors for the American Council on Exercise and has been ACE certified since 1994.
