Many people think leadership is about talent, charisma, or gifting—the “it” factor that makes someone stand out. But Jesus defines leadership differently. He emphasizes faithfulness over talent and warns us not to confuse giftedness with godliness. True leaders set an example in every area of life, not just in what they do but in who they are. We teach what we know, but we reproduce who we are. The goal of Christian leadership is to bring people into spiritual maturity. If everyone around you followed your example, what kind of community would it create? In God’s kingdom, success isn’t measured by charisma or influence, but by Christlike character, integrity, and faithfulness.
