The way of Jesus is the way of humility—and yet pride lurks in every one of our hearts. Pride keeps us comparing, striving, and resisting God, while humility positions us to receive His grace. True Christian leadership is not marked by pride or self-importance but by a posture of humility, following the example of Jesus who became a servant. Scripture is clear: God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). True humility is not misery, weakness, or hiding who you are—it’s seeing everything as a gift, boasting only in Christ, and living to serve others. Pride deceives us, but humility frees us to walk in the strength and joy of becoming more like Jesus.
