On the way to the airport

James: Grazie per il passaggio in aereoporto. Mi dispiace però che sia un po’ fuori mano per te.

Sandro: Figurati. Dopo che ti avrò accompagnato all’aereoporto, andrò da un vecchio amico che abita qui vicino. Ci siamo messi d’accordo proprio stamattina.

James: Benissimo.

Sandro: Che farai in vacanza? Ti riposerai?

James: Non direi, la passerò all’insegna della famiglia. A Natale non si puo’ fare altrimenti. Non appena mi sarò riposato dal viaggio, mia madre ha organizzato di andare a trovare la nonna. Un altro viaggio di otto ore in macchina!

Sandro: Non ti invidio.

James: Appunto. Ah, posso chiederti il favore di tenere d’occhio la mia casa mentre sono via? Ho sentito che Natale è il periodo migliore per i ladri di appartamento.

Sandro: Non c’è problema. Però anch’io tornerò a casa appena le prove dell’orchestra saranno terminate. Io sono un grande amante delle riunioni familiari.

James: Thanks for the lift to the airport. I'm just sorry that it's a bit out of the way for you.

Sandro: Don't worry. After taking you to the airport, I'll visit an old friend of mine who lives nearby. We made an arrangement this morning.

James: Very well.

Sandro: What are you going to do on vacation? Relax?

James: I wouldn't say so. I'll spend it only with the family. At Christmas I can't do otherwise. As soon as I will have rested from the flight, my mother has planned to visit grandma. Another eight-hour trip by car!

Sandro: I don't envy you.

James: Exactly. Oh, can I ask you the favor of keeping an eye on my house while I am away? I heard that Christmas is the best time for burglars.

Sandro: No problem. But I will also return home as soon as the orchestra rehearsals will be over. I'm a big fan of family get-togethers myself.
