Maria Mareș: Măi! Dar ce grijă ai tu acum! Hopa sus! Și privirea înainte!

Denisa: Aoleu! Vine un câine în fugă după mine.

Maria Mareș: Cuțu-cuțu! Poftim! Vai! Dar e chiar drăgălaș, să nu te sperii de el. Este exact ca labradorul pe care l-ai avut tu când erai mică, ca Max. E un scump!

Delta Dunării este a doua deltă ca mărime și cea mai bine conservată din Europa.

Cea mai mare parte a deltei se află în județul Tulcea, deși o mică parte a sa aparține Ucrainei.

A durat mii de ani până ce Delta Dunării a evoluat la starea din ziua de astăzi, deși geologii susțin că, cel mai probabil, patruzeci la sută din ea s-a format în cursul ultimului mileniu.

A început să se formeze într-unul dintre golfurile Mării Negre, undeva după 4000 îH, atunci când marea a urcat la nivelul la care se află astăzi.

The Danube Delta is Europe's second biggest and best-preserved river delta.

Most of the delta is in Romania's Tulcea County, although a small part of it lies in Ukraine.

It took thousands of years for the Danube Delta to evolve to its present state, although geologists say that most likely forty percent of it was built over the last millennium.

It started to form in one of the Black Sea's bays at some point after 4000 BC when the sea climbed to the level it is at currently.

Because of a barrier that blocked the Danube Bay, the river started to deposit sediment into the bay.

Over time, the bay was filled up, and the delta began to grow larger and advance outside the estuary at some point after 3500 BC.

The delta built a number of lobes and continued to grow, adding internal lobes inside the lagoons and lakes that lay along its periphery.

Erosion, exacerbated by deforestation in the Danube basin, caused the delta area to dilate even further.

Toward the end of the Twentieth Century, dams were built on the Danube and its tributaries, causing a major deficit in sediment.

Contemporaneously, a network of channels was built, which helped attenuate that deficit on the delta but worsened erosion along the coastline.

There are three major branches that feed into the Danube Delta.

They are the Chilia, Sulina, and Saint George distributaries.

The Sulina and Saint George distributaries run out of the Chilia and continue as one channel before breaking off from each other.

New land gradually formed at each channel's mouth, creating the delta and its many lobes.
