George Enescu a fost un muzician și un compozitor român, care a trăit între 1881 și 1955.

Mulți îl consideră a fi cel mai important muzician al țării.

A fost un copil minune în domeniul muzicii, începând să experimenteze în domeniul compoziției muzicale încă de când era foarte tânăr.

Multe dintre piesele sale timpurii, toate foarte scurte și scrise pentru pian și vioară, încă mai există și în prezent.

Prima piesă muzicală a tânărului compozitor virtuoz, mai lungă ca durată, poartă numele de „Pământ românesc” și este scrisă pentru vioară și pian.

Potrivit inscripției proprii de pe partitură, avea doar cinci ani când a compus-o.

La scurt timp după ce a compus „Pământ românesc”, tatăl său i-a făcut cunoștință cu Eduard Caudella, un compozitor și profesor faimos la vremea aceea.

La vârsta de șapte ani a devenit cel mai tânăr elev al Conservatorului din Viena și, de asemenea, primul elev care nu era de naționalitate austriacă.

De asemenea, a fost cea de-a doua persoană admisă la această școală cu dispensă de vârstă, căci regulamentul școlii interzicea accesul elevilor sub paisprezece ani.

Many consider him to be the nation's most important musician.

He was a child prodigy in the area of music, as he started to experiment in composing music while he was quite young.

Many of his earliest pieces, all of which were very short and written for the piano and violin, are still in existence today.

The first musical piece the young virtuoso composed that was a significant length is entitled "Romanian Land" and is for the violin and piano.

According to his inscription on the piece, he was only five years old when he composed it.

Not long after he composed "Romanian Land," his father presented him to Eduard Caudella, a famous composer and professor of his time.

When he was only seven years old, he became the Vienna Conservatory's youngest student and also the first non-Austrian student.

He was also the second person to be admitted to the school by age dispensation, as the school had regulations that barred students younger than fourteen from studying there.

While studying at the school, a teacher, Joseph Hellmesberger, Sr., hosted him at his home, and that's where he met Johannes Brahms, whom he idolized.

He graduated from Vienna Conservatory at the age of twelve, meriting the silver medal at graduation.

He continued his studies and publicly performed pieces by Brahms and other famous composers.

When he began to compose more of his own pieces, including his two famous rhapsodies, Romanian folk music was one of his biggest influences.

In 1923, he debuted in America as conductor of Carnegie Hall's Philadelphia Orchestra in New York City.
