นัก is a prefix that you put in front of verbs or nouns and it creates the meaning of “ profession”.
For example: นักเรียน (nák rian). นักเรียน means student. เรียน (rian) means “to study”. So the nak prefix + to learn = student.
If you know the word that comes after nák then you will be able to guess the meaning!
The formula is นัก (nák) + verb or noun.

Here you will learn to ask for confirmation with the Thai particle เนอะ (ner).
Most people learn their first Thai particle when they are already intermediate or even advanced. I don't agree, I think it should be learned as soon as possible because, since most Thai particles don't have the equivalent literal translation in another language, it takes time to master. Without Thai particles, you will never sound fluent in Thai. :)

หรือ rĕu= or (*many times pronounced as รึ réu)
