استاد اسد امانت علی خان پیشہ ور گلوکاروں کے طویل سلسلے کے ایک رکن تھے۔

انہوں نے نیم کلاسیکی، کلاسیکی، اور غزل موسیقی گائی، اور وہ استاد امانت علی خان کے بیٹے تھے۔

دس سال کی عمر میں خان کا پہلا نغمہ ان کے دادا کے پہلے البم میں شامل کیا گیا تھا۔

ستم ظریفی یہ ہے کہ وہ اور ان کے والد دونوں انتہائی کم عمر میں انتقال کر گئے، اور دونوں ہی موت کے بارے میں یہ گیت گانے کے لیے مشہور تھے۔

کافی سال انہوں نے پاکستان ٹیلی ویژن میں کام کیا۔

انہیں لائیو ٹی وی پر پہلا موقع کمپوزر اور ٹیلی وژن پروڈیوسر نثار بزمی کے ذریعے ملا۔

خان نے زندگی بھر ٹی وی سٹیشن کے ساتھ اپنی وابستگی برقرار رکھی اور پاکستان کی فلمی صنعت کا رخ اختیار کیا۔

اپنے کریئر کے دوران انہوں نے ایک ہزار سے زائد گیت ریکارڈ کیے اور کئی فلمی گانے بھی گائے۔

آخر کار بالی ووڈ نے ان کا ٹیلنٹ معلوم کر لیا اور انہوں نے ہندوستانی فلمی صنعت کے گیتوں میں بھی اپنا حصہ ڈالنا شروع کر دیا۔

وہ اکیاون سال کی عمر میں 2007 ء میں لندن میں دل کا دورہ پڑنے سے انتقال کر گئے۔

اس وقت وہ اپنے خاندان کے ساتھ ایک دورے پر تھے کہ اچانک گر پڑے۔

انہیں ہوش میں لانے کی تمام تر کوششوں کے باوجود وہ موقع پر ہی دم توڑ گئے۔

ان کو صدرِ پاکستان سے تمغۂِ حسنِ کارکردگی حاصل کیے زیادہ وقت نہیں گزرا تھا کہ موت نے ان کو آ لیا۔

Ustad Asad Amanat Ali Khan was a member of a long line of professional singers.

He sang semi-classical, classical, and ghazal music and was the son of Ustad Amant Ali Khan.

At the age of ten, Khan's first song was featured on the debut album of his grandfather.

He was long intrigued by academia, and had he not become a singer, following the legacy of his forefathers, he might have chosen the vocation of pilot.

His biggest hit was the song ""Get Up, Oh Insha! It's Time to Leave the World,"" which was originally performed by his father.

Ironically, both he and his father died at rather young ages and were both known for singing that song, which was about death.

For a number of years, he worked at Pakistan Television.

He got his first break on live TV through composer and television producer Nisar Bazmi.

Khan retained his affiliation with the TV station throughout his life and moved into Pakistan's film industry.

Over the course of his career, he recorded more than one-thousand songs and was featured on several movie soundtracks.

Eventually Bollywood discerned his talent, and he began contributing to the Indian film industry's soundtracks as well.

He died of a heart attack in London in 2007 at the age of fifty-one.

At the time, he was on a trip with family when he suddenly dropped.

He died instantaneously despite multiple attempts to revive him.

His death came not long after he received the Pride of Performance award from Pakistan's president.

راحت فتح علی خان، جو مختصراً RFAK کے طور پر بھی معروف ہیں، ایک پاکستانی گلوکار ہیں جو زیادہ تر صوفیانہ عقیدت کی موسیقی میں اپنے فن کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہیں اگرچہ وہ ہلکی پھلکی موسیقی کے مختلف انداز، بشمول لالی ووڈ اور بالی ووڈ گیتوں کے، بھی گاتے ہیں۔

وہ لیجنڈری گلوکار فتح علی خان کے پوتے، استاد فرخ فتح علی خان کے بیٹے، اور استاد نصرت فتح علی خان کے بھتیجے ہیں۔

خان خاندان کی کلاسیکی صوفیانہ موسیقی میں فن کا مظاہرہ کرنے کی صدیوں طویل تاریخ ہے، اور خان کے چچا نے ان کی پیدائش پر ہی فن میں تربیت کے لیے انہیں نامزد کیا۔

1990 کی دہائی میں انہوں نے لالی ووڈ پلے بَیک میوزک گانا شروع کر دیا، اور اپنے چچا اور پرل جَیم کے رہنما گلوکار اور گٹارِسٹ ایڈی ویڈر کے ساتھ انہوں نے ڈَیڈ مَین واکِنگ، جو 1995 میں جاری ہونے والی ایک ہالی ووڈ فلم تھی، کے ساؤنڈ ٹریک میں اپنی خدمات پیش کیں۔

انہوں نے اپنے فن کا بالی ووڈ میں پہلا مظاہرہ 2004 کی فلم پاپ میں اپنے معروف گیت ""من کی لگن"" سے کیا۔

تب سے انہوں نے بہت ملی نغمے اور دوسری بالی ووڈ فلموں کے لیے گیت گائے ہیں اور پاکستان اور بیرونِ ملک دورے کیے ہیں اور فن کے مظاہرے کیے ہیں۔

2014 میں وہ پہلے پاکستانی تھے جنہیں نوبل امن انعام کنسرٹ میں فن کا مظاہرہ کرنے کے لیے کہا گیا۔

انہوں نے اپنے دادا کی اَن مِٹ قوالی جس کا نام ""تمہیں دل لگی"" ہے اور دوسرے گیت گائے۔

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, also known by the diminutive RFAK, is a singer from Pakistan who mainly performs Sufi devotional music although he also sings different styles of light music, including both Lollywood and Bollywood songs.

He's legendary singer Fateh Ali Khan's grandson, the son of Ustad Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, and the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The Khan family has a centuries-long history of performing classical Sufi music, and Khan's uncle nominated him for training in the art form at birth.

A precocious child, he was already singing with his father and uncle when he was only three years old.

His first public performance was when he was nine years old at the observance of his grandfather's death.

He became an integral part of the family's reputed qawwali music group when he was fifteen years old, even performing solo pieces in addition to singing with the full group.

In the 1990s, he started to sing Lollywood playback music, and in conjunction with his uncle and Pearl Jam lead singer and guitarist Eddie Vedder, he contributed to the soundtrack for Dead Man Walking, a Hollywood movie released in 1995.

He made his debut in Bollywood with his hit song ""Mann Ki Lagan"" from the 2004 film Paap.

He has since sung several patriotic songs and songs for other Bollywood movies and has toured and given performances in Pakistan and abroad.

In 2014, he was the first Pakistani to be solicited to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize concert.

He sang his grandfather's most indelible qawwali songs entitled ""Tumhe Dillagi"" and others.
