We had our first experience of a family play-date hang out at our house and, it went way worse than I ever could have imagined. I knew meltdowns would be possible, but I’ve never seen my daughter explode completely in front of new people before. In this episode, you’ll hear 2 parts:  My initial, next day raw reaction with very vulnerable thoughts… and then a 2nd part where I come back a few weeks later after having processed my thoughts about it (both with my therapist and internally) and sharing some tips in general for anyone else who plans to have a playdate.
