As Jesus entered Jerusalem prior to His crucifixion, he stated that "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified." But how is it that this terrible event brought glory to Him? Listen as Pastor Caleb expounds on John 12:12-26 and answers this important question.

Where does the Bible teach us to place our trust when it comes to our salvation? Do we hope in our being a good person? Do we assume that our growing up in a Christian culture or a godly family will guarantee our salvation?

When we are confronted with doubts and despair, the only place to turn for comfort are the simple promises of the Gospel. There, in Christ, we will find the comfort we seek and the hope we need.

It often pleases God to allow the spiritually proud to remain in their spiritual blindness, while He opens the eyes of the poor and needy. He did this in the nation of Israel as the Messiah walked the land, and He still often does this today. It is not the greatness of the man, but the sovereign grace of God, that gives sight to the blind.

In this passage from Matthew's Gospel, Jesus makes clear that those who have had God's truth revealed to them in great measure and yet still reject it will incur greater judgement on themselves. Listen to hear how this truth provides a warning for our own day.

In Matthew 10:40-42 Jesus assures His followers that they will not encounter only rejection and persecution as they proclaim God's kingdom to others. They will also experience the joy of having people receive both them and their message. Remarkably, Jesus tells them that "Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me." Additionally, we learn that God rewards those who receive His messengers.
