The Martial Arts Mania Podcast is back! This week we have a very special guest; martial artist, actor, author, minister, fitness guru and multi-time collegiate boxing champion, Sifu Leo Fong! Most famously known as a good friend and training partner of Bruce Lee during the Oakland years, Sifu Leo shares his incredibly inspirational story about immigrating from China to the United States in the 1930’s, growing up in the deep south at a time when racism was heavily rampant and there were not many other Chinese families, and how he took up boxing to literally fight for his life. In part one of our episode, Leo shares his early years, discusses his highly successful amateur boxing career and gives some insight into the current state of JKD practitioners.
