June 20, 2022WHY you might be DEPRESSED.. (Fr)Is your bias towards positive emotion keeping you down? Numbing/hardening feels great when it's a painful time, but when the good moments return you're.. numb and hard.. and that is NO WAY to live life. What's the answer to being able to go through these changing seasons? Answer: go through them. Begin to define strength as the ability to maintain an open heart and sensitivity towards life during the darkness, so the brightness is just as rich. Stay present. This is a great episode with my friend Cadie Simmons. If you are in a dark night, and need a friend to help you see a brighter tomorrow.. Here is my personal cell phone. (251) 635-2906. Call me. June 08, 2022Finding my voice through MeditationGrowing up I was always taught that my guiding light was outside of myself. That my internal voice was not one to be trusted. Even worse, it was wayward, wicked, and deceitful. I was taught to look to pastors, teachers and older men to find out how I SHOULD be. Carrying around the SHOULDs of other people eventually started to feel more like a hinderance than a honorable burden. It was through meditation that I was able to begin to get enough space to see myself following others, instead of thinking and feeling based on me. Through the years, with this practice, I have began to rescue my inner voice, lean into my own decisions, and overall feel so much more at home in the life I create for myself. I am not anti-religious, but I sure have had to learn to look at religion for inspiration, and not instruction.!⬇️⬇️⬇️Watch this episode and many more on my Youtube channel! 👀Instagram/ Braxtongilbert...more33minPlay
