This episode was recorded immediately after Game 5 of the NLCS which means that D.Gil was hoping it would be a Braves pennant-clinching celebration.

As you can tell by the title, that didn't happen.

Instead, we dive headlong into D.Gil's wounded Atlanta sports fan psyche and wonder if the Braves could possibly blow a 3-1 lead to the Dodgers in consecutive years. Along the way, we express our doubts about the team's leadership, suggest Brian Snitker could lose his job over another epic collapse, and castigate Max Fried for a horrific pitching performance in a potential clinching game.

All this for a team that's still leading the series. Yikes. At least the Braves already clinched the title of most racist chant in sports.

Inclusion in sports has had a lot of winning moments in 2021, but it hasn't come without a fight and one of the battleground has been the state of Texas and now 5 attempts to legalize discrimination of transgender students who just want to play. Karleigh sat down with Texan legislative analyst and activist Ash Hall, who gives us an inside view of all those messes down in Texas. Hall also delves into a sci-fi "What If". What if Doctor Who was a Lone Star?

Then we look an ambitious step to make the fitness and training spaces better spaces. Karleigh interviews Meghan Crutchley, a non-binary trainer and queer health advocate who is building a curriculum with the goal of making learning about LGBTQ inclusion a piece of the process to certify trainers and fitness pros.

This week's Trans Sporter Room continues our deeper look into trans athletes stories that many haven't heard, but need to hear.

In 2011, the NCAA began their transgender student-athlete policies.

That same year, a volleyball player at Division III Purchase College in New York stepped into their truth as a transgender man, and said that they want to play on the men's team in the sport -- After playing two years on the women's team.

The NCAA provided a pathway, and Taylor Edelmann walked it, not only becoming a player, but also a team captain. Save a few articles his senior year, including one by Outsports, what happened largely flew under the radar.

Edelmann was among the first.

Karleigh Webb sat down with Edelmann in a far-reaching interview that looks back, but also looks at how making a piece of collegiate sports history as affected him as an LGBTQ health care advocate, husband and father.
