Trigger Warning: This episode deals with the issue of domestic violence, including gun violence.
This is a must listen episode. Elijah Gossett is my very special guest. He is a survivor of domestic violence who, from the moment he awoke from surgery, chooses to see the hope and gratitude of his circumstances despite the long physical recovery he faced. He chooses to see that love is everywhere and we are so privileged to hear his views on joy, love, hope, resilience, and choosing his mindset even when faced with serious adversity.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Choosing hope, joy, and beauty on the hard days is a conscious decision. No matter what you've been through, there's beauty all around you if you take the time to absorb it. Don't allow yourself to get bogged down in the difficult parts of life around you. There is always something beautiful or positive to see in the world.

We rely on resilience when we're stressed and need to get back on track. Practice building resilience and grit in good times, so it's available to you when you need it. Resilience reminds us of our commitments, interests, passions and gets us back on track. We all have ups and downs, it's very natural. It's not about being positive all the time. It's about having skills and choosing to shift your mindset to move through adversity as smoothly as possible.
