In todays Mindful Monday Moment I guide us in a Metta or Loving Kindness Meditation. This meditation uses words, visualizations, and feelings to evoke a lovingkindness toward oneself and others. With each recitation of the phrases, we are expressing intention, planting the seeds of loving wishes over and over in our heart. Contained within the meditation is the words of loving kindness with a singing bowls and the Virgin River backtrack.
May I be filled with lovingkindness. May I be safe from inner and outer dangers. May I be well in body and mind. May I be at ease and happy.

In this episode of Life As An Observer I explore the the Masks that Men wear and hide behind as their personal narrative and window to the world. These masks come at a cost to the divine masculine, only showing that of Protector, Provider, and Procreator. At a terrible costs the 9 main worldly masks create a false sense of worth where men hide behind the mask in order to be seen. Yet, men hide their vulnerability in the narratives of these mask in order to not be seen as weak or shamed for their emotions. We explore the roles of violent crime, and high suicide rates in men due to the unneeded pressure caused by these masks and the masculine expectations for little to no vulnerability.

This week I chat with Jason Nemer about his upcoming book release; Move, Connect, Play; The Art and Science of AcroYoga. In addition to chatting about AcroYoga we discuss some of the noble elements of acro that we can apply to our lives to flourish as humans and to build up our communities. This conversion was one of my favorites because of my personal interests in acrobatics and the power of healing through human connection and safe touch. Jason is the founder of AcroYoga.Org, a author, a Yogi, a Bodyworker, and an amazing human who lives the principle of Move, Connect, Play. The year 2020 brought a lot of challenges that brought distance in the practice of acro and body work. However, though dedication and embracing community it is returning with new workshops, retreats, and this fantastic new book.

In this Mindful Monday Moment we explore healing after the breakup. I took me many failed relationships to finally learn how to heal from the last one. In my relationship journey I was constantly trying to replace the last one rather than move forward, let go of the last one, set boundaries for what I will tolerate in the next, and finally learn how to set a clear definition of my values. In doing these three tips that I describe in this podcast we develop a sense of wholeness, and move away from the idea that we are lost or unloved, or unworthy of love.
Three Steps to healing after the breakup.
1. Don't use the break up as your lost sense of purpose. You are not broken, you FEEL broken hearted. You are not sadness, you FEEL sad.
2. Embrace confidence building activities and the company of others and social situations that are good vibrational energy to heal and grow, not a space to self loathe.
3. Transformation into the partner you know you can be and use the breakup experience as a teacher not a place of sadness.

In this episode I speak with author, explorer, philanthropist, and humanitarian; Tom Dennard. Tom has been a personal inspiration to me since meeting him at his retreat and nature conservatory; The Hostel in the Forest, over 15 years ago. Tom and I discuss self realization through nature. We talk about the many adventures Tom has been on that include exploration of over 70 countries, hiking Everest, Kilimanjaro, The Appalachian Trail, walking in Gandhi's footsteps, and being in Berlin, Germany as the wall fell. I am excited to share the insight Tom shares with us about being better humans and how kindness towards others brings us closer to ourselves.
