This is a special episode on the Life Out Loud Podcast — that brings you into some of the real and raw conversations in my coaching sessions with life coach, Mischaela Richter. This coaching cast started from an idea to give listeners a glimpse into what coaching may look like; and share with you in a real and authentic way, some of my challenges and experiences around business development. The Coaching Cast series will cover topics related to personal development, business development and mental health.
This week's episode on Life Out Loud Podcast is the continuation of the Black Narratives Matter episode from last week. I sit down with my parents to talk about their experiences of growing up black. We dive into their childhood experiences, their relationship as a black couple, and parenting black children. My parents offer us some wise words to consider as we lean into the conversations and movement towards the racial and social justice of black people.
What you reveal, you heal. And part of the revealing in our lives may include acknowledging those parts that bring about feelings of shame - the darkest corners that weigh us down. Identifying where shame exists and the impact it has within our lives is an opportunity for us to shine a light on the darkness and release the heaviness - encouraging growth, connection and authentic living.
Welcome back to the Life Out Loud Podcast. Transitions can bring feelings of loss, and they can bring opportunities for personal growth. Our lives are a story of transitions, and sometimes that means we need to let go of the life we have planned so that we can have the life that is waiting for us. This episode is the second part, of a two-part series that highlights segments of my career transition from working as a Personal Development Counsellor and Trainer for ten years, to experiencing burnout, to then starting a business, which is Life Out Loud. If you haven't checked out the first episode, I encourage you to do so.

This is a special Birth-day episode — the birth of a podcast that I have been waiting to share with you for so long! Yes, it has been a long time coming for this one, and there are many reasons for it. In fact, many of us find it challenging to get started on something we have been envisioning — and perhaps we have legitimate reasons for not getting started. Starting something can be the hardest part of anything. In this episode, I'll share with you what I had to let go of in order to move forward — despite feeling scared.
Special thanks to my producer, Marc Boudreau with Brand New View Media who has been instrumental in helping me get started!
