In this opposite-of-the-penultimate episode, Stephanie, Rachel, and Zach discuss the “9/11 killed personal transport” conspiracy, as well as how the entire world was focused only on mourning Chyna the day of her death. Join the trinity as they navigate through the dark and infuriating BURNING BED (1984) with wine and laughter. BURNING BED is a Lifetime classic based on real-life battered housewife Francine Hughes who finally takes matters in her own hands against her abusive husband in the form of vindictive arson. Farrah Fawcett's performance in this movie is so dazzling, it'll make you kinda sad that you'll never have the opportunity to be immolated by her.
Who is Grace Zabriskie? Well, we know she isn't Jessica Tandy, and she is definitely not Kathy Bates. Also, can every sneering abusive misogynist be re-cast with Thomas F. Wilson? The answer is: In Stephanie's dreams!
And David Spade, Steph didn't mean it! We don't wanna lose the David Spade account…
Raise your glass to Farrah and Francine with us!
This film can be viewed on Amazon Prime.

In the debut episode of Lifewine, we meet the trinity: Stephanie, Rachel, and sometimes Zach. Stephanie proves to us that she is the undisputed queen of kids’ jokes, at least when compared to Rachel (but the bar is low). After they open the wine (and the Buzzballz), they review the Lifetime movie INDISCRETION, a typical Lifetime movie with all the usual tropes: The passionate wildcard guy who you feel like you should find attractive (but don’t); the sex-starved, highly accomplished, beautiful wife who is seemingly unappreciated by her entire family, and the husband who, despite all his faults, may actually be a good guy if you just overlook the fact he is a bland, white, male politician.
History, grammar, Texas alcohol laws, and everything else you should have learned in school is insidiously inserted into this episode. No elephants were harmed in the making. And remember: don’t scratch your butt with a broken bottle!
For those of you watching along, you can find INDISCRETION streaming on Netflix. You can also just listen to Stephanie and Rachel attempt to verbally piece together this movie while the alcohol eventually takes over and words are hard.
