Bringing in the title of a book I had to read and analyze in college, "Leading Lives That Matter," it is time to talk about the importance of REST.

If you feel like you're STRUGGLING to keep up with the speed of your life, I want to share 5 tips to make sure that you are slowing down to take care of yourself.

1. No screen time before bed.
2. Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. 
3. Make sure you’re moving your body. 
4. Rest means more than just sleeping or napping. 
5. Take time off if you need to. 

People need you and you do have responsibilities and priorities to fulfill. Those don’t matter if you aren’t healthy and rested. So take care of yourself. Give yourself grace. Let those who need to know know that you need to slow down and get some extra rest. I hope this was a timely message for you today. Take care of yourself, this world and our community needs you healthy so you can help us light the way!

PARENTS CAN STRUGGLE TOO! BUT No matter where you are or what you’re feeling, your parents can be your forever captains. And that takes HARD work and HEART work.

THE TEACHER/MENTOR RELATIONSHIP:

Choose to appreciate the teacher who wants you to grow instead of to stay the same (AKA the one who CHALLENGES you). And don't forget to say THANK YOU!

THE FRIENDSHIP

Just as you grow, so will your friends. I don’t think there’s a right way to go about making and keeping friends. But make sure you’re surrounded by friends who love, encourage, and accept you as you are. 

Remember, your relationships are built on YOUR foundation. Take care of yourself. Healthy relationships require YOU to be healthy and kind. Even when and if you don’t feel your people are the best, you can choose to believe they’re doing their best.

Body image and beauty confidence is something so many humans battle with - teenage females included! In this episode we'll explore the emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and (hopefully positive) consequences beauty confidence can have.

Being a female who believes her body is beautiful and lives her life TRULY confident is CHALLENGING. But over the last ten years I’ve learned a lot about just how important and possible it is to love the body you were blessed with, and all of the beauty that comes with it.

When we can feel that we are beautiful and think that we are beautiful, our behaviors and actions are going to also reflect that. We will dive into these points and more in this episode!

This four letter word holds  A LOT of weight and pressure.

I want to help you melt some of this pressure away so you can give your energy to your OWN growth (which is really what matters most, right?).

We will cover why their best isn’t your best (and why that is OKAY).

Then, I'll challenge you to trade out “I have to be the best” for “I want to be my best.”

And to close out, a call to action.

Wake up each day, put your feet on the ground, and tell yourself you’re going to give TODAY YOUR BEST. Say it out loud (even if it feels awkward…and it will).

I want you to leave this episode BELIEVING that you can give each day your best because you recognize that life will never be 100% happiness all of the time, and navigating through that is what makes your STRONG and RESILIENT.
