Come on in, the door is open to feel the Savior’s love!  Karen Broadhead, Director of Mothers Who Know, interviews Katherine McCullough, who shares her 10-year struggle with pornography and sexual self-mastery. Her message is one of deep healing and reclaiming her divine identity. Because she knows the real discomfort and fear that comes up when we need to reach out for help, she thoughtfully shares, “When you are in ‘Warrior Women of Light’, you can’t feel fear even if you want to…there’s just too much love here!”

Like a caring friend, Katherine reaches out to other young women who are now experiencing the loneliness and shame she did and says – “Satan is the enemy, not you. Please realize you are so much more than he is making you out to be. The Savior’s Atonement is so infinite that you can be on day one (of sobriety) every single day but if you are facing toward Christ and you are trying…that is the power of the Atonement.”

Jesus Christ has a loving, understanding, singular approach for His beautiful daughters who are doubting their worthiness to receive His care and help.

Katherine testifies of the Savior’s reaching for her, and you. – “One of the biggest things I learned was the power of the Atonement. I felt for years that I was always going to be this way, that I was never going to concur this. I learned that’s a lie! The truth is, because of the Atonement, because of the sacrifice my Savior made for me, He has healed me!  He has transformed me into a woman who knows her worth and her power over Satan. A woman who knows her divine right to be loved, to have a family, to feel confident before God. That’s something I didn’t think I would ever feel.  But because of this program I feel the power of the Atonement.”

“You lied to me!” 

One past student of the Eternal Warriors course remarked: “I remember the sinking feeling of having taken action based on what someone told me - and then realizing that I’d been lied to - and recognizing that the actions I had taken were ill-advised and had brought me regret and sorrow. How I wished I could have known they were lying to me!”

"Warrior Chemistry!"

In today’s episode, Karen and two life coaches remind us that for every mood battle we experience, there is a remedy - Warrior Chemistry - and that as we are trained in creating that chemistry in the moment it is needed, we gain strength and power over every attempt the adversary makes to derail our progress. 
 

It doesn’t always look the same - sometimes it is the “push” or “hard” Warrior Chemistry, and sometimes it is  “pull” or “soft” chemistry, but it is always rooted in love - love of the Savior, and Christ-like love for self and for others.

“Satan has marshaled his forces and is raging against the work of the Lord and those of us engaged in it.”

So warned President Nelson*, and haven’t you found it to be true? 

Perhaps most often we experience that raging after he whispers something within our own hearts or minds that then leads us to actions we later regret. And so much that he whispers to our minds and hearts is untrue. He is, after all, the father of lies. 

So, how does one catch the adversary at his lying? How do you avoid his distractions and his devious attempts to derail your progress? 

In this episode Karen and two life coaches from Life Changing Services.org meet to discuss the power of discernment, and how completing a Lost Battle Analysis helps us discern Satan’s involvement sooner. 

President Nelson continued, “Because of the increasing dangers we face, our need for divine guidance has never been greater, and our efforts to hear the voice of Jesus Christ—our Mediator, Savior, and Redeemer—have never been more urgent.” 

We are surrounded with dangers, but we need not fear**. We each have weakness***, but we need not despair. As we become trained, and pray for the spirit of discernment, we can spot the enemy afar off, and win more of our battles. And when we lose a battle, we can remember that God knew that would be part of our mortal experience, and that He provided the assistance we need: We can call upon the cleansing, enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to be forgiven; to help us learn the needed lesson; and to move forward with greater strength and wisdom.

So you have a body. So what? 

Joseph Smith taught, “We came to this earth that we might have a body and present it pure before God in the celestial kingdom. The great principle of happiness consists in having a body.”
 

Does having a body help you experience the great principle of happiness?  Or does it sometimes seem like the body is holding you back, such as when you know you really should get up and do something, but your body says, “Nope. I’m too tired. We’re not going anywhere.”* What about times like that? What about when you feel discouraged, depressed, or emotionally drained? How do you find happiness then?
 

In today’s episode, Karen and three coaches discuss “Warrior Chemistry”, the powerful response we can train our body to have that can neutralize the adversary’s attempt to control us through his whisperings. The body, rather than being what holds us back, can actually be a great tool to help us overcome negative emotions and gain power over the adversary. The body, when trained, can actually help us become more like the Savior.
 

Elder Scott Whiting, in the October 2020 General Conference, taught that changing takes practice and requires the help of the Savior: “You will need to commit to exerting meaningful effort...our efforts to obtain these attributes will require heartfelt pleas for His divine assistance.” 
 

We attest that it can happen! We have all experienced the power that accessing Warrior Chemistry can bring into our lives, and we’d love to share with you how you can have it too. Join us, and realize even more what a gift it is to have a body. 
 

*(We’ve talked in previous episodes about the source of those comments! It’s not really the body, but our one enemy, Satan. Elder Klebingat taught: “...he (Satan) will seek access to your heart to tell you lies - lies that Heavenly Father is disappointed in you, that the Atonement is beyond your reach, that there is no point in even trying, that everyone else is better than you, that you are unworthy, and a thousand variations of that same evil theme.” (October 2014, “Approaching the Throne of God With Confidence”)
