Welcome to the season finale of Like You Like Me. We hope you have enjoyed our first season as much as we have.
In this episode we are talking about changes; the ones we have chosen and the ones that choose us.
From getting a new haircut that resembles a Lego figure (Carol) to moving to and settling in Cork (Sara) we have all been through some changes. And many of us are going through THE Change (Carol and Sara). Some of us even go through a complete change like a caterpillar tuning in to a butterfly (minus the cocoon) and live to tell the tale.
We will be sharing our stories and discussing how change can be scary but also very exciting.
We also went to see The Lord of the Dance in the Cork Opera House...great craic it was (our win)!
For every win there must be a not win and of course the song of the week. So grab your favorite drink and join us for the last episode of the season.
To all our amazing listeners, thank you for joining us over the last few weeks .We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again for Season 2 coming very soon.

This week's episode is a special one! It was recorded a few days before we went to see Depeche Mode at Malahide Castle in Dublin this summer (we discuss that whole experience in another episode coming soon).
We have two guests joining us for an after dinner chat ,very 'foncy' indeed. Sara's sister, Tami from America, and our friend, Betty from Cuba, share their online dating stories with us on the couch; some funny, some sweet, and some scary! Join in as Tami and Betty school us in online dating.
Also, Tami, a huge Depeche Mode fan, gets to pick the song of the week (wonder what band it could be...).
Enjoy and thank you for listening!

Hello You,
Welcome to this week's episode. First things first, a little housekeeping; we want to give a big thank you to every one who has taken the time to jump on our podcast cast ride with us. It is great craic and we are really enjoying it.
You may notice as you listen to this week's show, Sara is on the tail end of a cold, but, sure, no point fighting snot monsters (by the way, no snot monsters were harmed in the making of this podcast).
Now on with the show:
Sara took the lead host role today as she is really passionate about fitness as we ladies age. She is always encouraging Carol to be as well (who is hesitant but wiling to try), so it made perfect sense.
We are joined by Ian Murphy of ATP Fitness and Ian M Coaching as we discuss fitness and health. With over 11 years of experience as a personal trainer, Ian is an expert in areas such strength training and it's benefits, especially for women as we come into the prime of our lives. We cover hormones, the importance of nutrition, and why cardio exercise isn't what's going to get you to lose weight. It was a pleasure to chat with Ian and it certainly opened Carol's mind and took away some of the misconceptions she had.
We loved Ian's "Kenergy" and his genuine interest and expertise in women's wellness and fitness that really shines during the show as you will discover.
Also we have our win/not wins and Ian got to choose an adorable song of the week for his little girl (got us in the feels big time).
Enjoy!

Hello You,
Apologies for the delay with this week's episode; the battle of the allergies came to a head and I was defeated visually by it and unable to edit the episode. Thankfully now, pumped up on steroids and antibiotics, I can see again.
Thanks for your understanding with the few days delay and on with the show:
This week's show is inspired by an event witnessed by Carol in Tesco's between a mother and a child. It made us think about how different and difficult it is to be a parent in these modern times compared to when we were children.
Join as we chat all about helicopter and submarine types of parents.
We reminisce about wooden spoons, shoes, and bouncing around in cars as kids.
Plus win/not wins and song of the week.
Enjoy and catch you next Thursday.

Hello Thursday !!
Welcome to this week's episode. We're taking a look at anger and frustration, exploring how we express these emotions in our daily lives.
We have also noticed a change in how we complain and react to situations, resulting in Sara becoming 'pure Cork, like' and Carol going in with guns blazing all 'American style'.
We'll also be sharing some tips on how to deal with anger and frustration in a healthy way. So sit back, relax, and get ready to laugh with us as we tackle this sometimes difficult topic.
Enjoy !!

Welcome to this week's episode. Sara and Carol chat about an email received in work offering a training course in the menopause. What ensues is a lively debate as Carol is on the fence and Sara thinks it is a good idea.
Also we briefly get caught up in The Barbie Movie and dedicate our song of the week as tribute to Sinead O'Connor, who sadly passed away last week .
We hope you enjoy and thanks for listening .

We really like the idea of glimmers.
It is quite heart warming for they are the opposite of triggers. They are tiny, little moments that can spark a bit of happiness in us; instead of sending us downwards or side ways, they send us upwards to lift and raise our spirits.
Now it's not going to be all good ship positivity.
We also chat about moan management. Carol has decided that this should be a new management style to be embraced by all.
So look for those glimmers and manage your moans .
Thanks for listening.

Carol nearly took a fall recently and it has spiraled into this week's episode. It seems the thought of a potential fall caused more drama, as Sara found out (she has the patience of a saint with Carol). We gain plenty of experience from life but is it a good teacher that makes us wiser or simply a bitch that make us doubt ourselves?
Join us on location from sunny Dungarvan as we chat all about the falls that made us and at times broke us.
Enjoy and thank you for listening.

As this is our friendship podcast, we decided that the first episode should be about the fascinating landscape of friendship.
From awkward beginnings to unforgettable memories, we are going to cover it all.
We will be throwing in some of our own friendship stories along the way.
So, sit back, relax and get ready to join us on this journey through the world of friendship.
We promise to make you laugh and everything in between.

Like You Like Me is a friendship podcast. Sara and I have been friends for eight years and this is an extension of our friendship.
When I was younger and someone asked what would be your…
After 2 years of trying different styles of potential podcasts, it never quite hit the mark until my friend, Sara, agreed to be my co-host. I hit the jackpot! We figured out a format and spent months brainstorming, practicing, recording episodes(that we didn't air), and learning each week.
Here we are finally !
We would like this show to be a celebration of friendship. We want our listeners to feel included and relate to our conversations, perhaps having similar chats with their friends as well.
How lucky am I and thank you, Sara.
Carol
