LIMBITLESS Podcast

This episode was recorded from a very special ranch cottage in Lampasas, Texas. This cottage is the lodging provided to the A3G Initiative during the annual whitetail hunting event, which is the culmination of the non-profit's mission, "Overcoming obstacles through archery".

Host, Aaron Ritter, and founder and president of the A3G Initiative, and board member Chris Dunlap, Annual Hunt Coordinator, recap the weekends event in which they announced the 2024 recipient, Dustin Pruett.

The weekend was a whirlwind while the two board members spent time with one of the 501(c)(3)'s donors Defiance Ranch at the Courses of the America Ferrari racing event, enjoyed some turkey hunting, and honored Dustin Pruett's selection as this year's recipient.

Are you dreaming of a non-resident archery elk hunt?

Have you ever wondered what planning and preparation is involved if a hunter wishes to increase their odds of success in filling an elk tag?

This hunt series will span 7 episodes from May through the end of September or early October, as host Aaron Ritter and hunting partner Chris Dunlap prepare for their upcoming Idaho archery elk hunt.

This first episode covers a myriad of topics, including Idaho's non-resident tag process, what we will be covering over the new few months and what to expect as the hunters draw closer to parking the truck and trekking off into the backcountry.

Plan on future episodes of this series being published on the last Tuesday of each month until the guys fill their tags or share their favorite "tag soup" recipe in the final episode.

"Lions and tigers and bears, oh my", this turkey hunt got "western" real quick!

Aaron joined his best friend, known as Nick the Great,  for a day of chasing Merriams around the eastern breaks of the Cascade Mountain range of Washington State. Nick the Great is a new-ish turkey hunter and the guys were in pursuit of Nick's first bird.

The two hunters covered some beautiful country, found ample turkey sign, heard and saw grouse, deer and inadvertently had a  "danger close" encounter with a sow black bear and two cubs. 

Thankfully no harm came to all parties involved. However, this episode may harm your ears during this 40 minute podcast. You are strongly encouraged to view this podcast via YouTube to fully capture the environment, antics and banter which naturally occurs when these two are together.

 Yogi may have been a cartoon character, but a few of the clever bear’s quotes fall into company with the likes of Teddy R, or Fred Bear.

Speaking of bears, this first Hunt Series hosts Michael Sims, who hails from everywhere thanks to not only his service to our country, but that of his wife; both serving the world’s finest Navy.

This two part series is ALL about Michael’s first spring bear hunt AND extended trip into the backcountry. Part 2 is a recap of the hunt, what the guys experienced, lessons learned and potential future plans. 

Of course, there are a few rabbit holes, especially towards the end of the show. Being this episode was recorded in the spring, and spring means turkey season, Aaron and Michael become derailed on the topic of turkeys.

Spring Turkey is one of host Aaron Ritter's favorite topics and activities. Sharing said activity with his father elevates the experience to a whole new level.

Welcome to Episode 1 of the LIMBITLESS Podcast, hosted by Aaron Ritter of LIMB-itless Outdoors.

This episode covers the gear list and planning of what to expect from the show. The podcast will cover a LIMBITLESS number of outdoor topics including hunting, fishing, nutrition and fitness.

The show will host 3 types of content:

- Main episodes, which will focus on guests, companies or lengthy topics. The regular episodes will range in length from 45 to 120 minutes. They will publish weekly, on Wednesday's, first thing in the morning.

- Hunt Series, which will be multi-episode podcasts spanning multiple weeks or months. These may be recorded in studio OR out in the field. Hunt Series content will be published on Tuesday mornings. Depending on the series, the release cadence will be weekly or monthly.

- Waypoints! Waypoint sessions will be 15 to 30 minutes in length and cover random people, topics or pieces of gear. These episodes will be recorded in studio, on travel or out in the field. Waypoint sessions will be published on any weekday when a regular episode or hunt series is not being published. Waypoints will be random and published whenever content is recorded and ready for release.
