Attorney Burt Odelson, legislative counsel for the Village of Dolton Board of Trustees, joins Lisa Dent to discuss some of the latest developments involving Dolton Mayor and Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard, including legal proceedings regarding locations of meetings and authority over naming of village officials. As Odelson explains, Dolton is “millions of dollars in the hole with dozens of lawsuits against it because of her action or inaction in conducting the town.”

Ald. Daniel La Spata from the 1st Ward joins Lisa Dent to discuss the effort to drop Chicago’s citywide speed limit from 30 mph to 25 mph advancing in the City Council Monday. The legislation aimed at reducing traffic crashes and fatalities passed in an 8-to-5 vote in the Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Committee.
