Dr. Santina Wheat, Family Medicine Physician with Northwestern Medicine, joins Lisa Dent to discuss the latest information about HPV. Dr. Wheat shares that while HPV is an STI, the spread of it requires only skin-to-skin contact. She reports that the active HPV vaccine can now be given to several age groups. Dr. Wheat recommends that the younger that someone can get the vaccine, the better.

Bob Pishue, Transportation analyst at INRIX, joins Lisa Dent to discuss Chicago being rated the worst city in the United States for traffic by INRIX. Pishue shares how they gathered the data, keeping weather and geography as factors to determine the worst cities for traffic. Chicago ranks first in the United States and second overall in the world behind Istanbul.

Brandy Miller, Chamber President/CEO, joins Lisa Dent to share the events that Ludington has during the holiday season. Primarily a beach town, Ludington still offers plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy the great dining and arts that Ludington offers. They also have a highly rated New Year’s Eve event as well.

Keith Freeman, Secretary of Harvey Firemen’s Association Local 471, joins Lisa Dent to discuss the latest layoffs in the Harvey Fire Department. Freeman reports that these are the second round of layoffs to the department. The latest layoffs leave the department with only 15 people on staff. Prior to the first layoffs last October, Freeman says, the department had 35 people on staff.

Pat Brady, former chairman for the Illinois Republican Party, and a former federal and state prosecutor, joins Lisa Dent to talk about the political future of Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. Brady does not believe he will remain in his position following the Pentagon’s investigation into Hegseth over the Signal Chat leaks and the controversy surrounding the latest Venezuelan boat strikes.

Ald. William Hall, 6th Ward, joins Lisa Dent to discuss his proposal to hold social media companies accountable for their role in ‘teen takeovers.’ He proposes an ordinance to fine social media companies for not following their own ‘community guidelines.’ Ald. Hall expresses that social media companies are not properly policing their platform, and they must be held accountable. He shares how the Chicago police are trying to prevent ‘teen takeovers’ and how social media plays a role in how they are organized.
