Dr. Mark Fishbein, pediatric gastroenterologist and Medical Director of the Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Disorder Clinic at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, joins Lisa Dent to discuss the safety of putting a baby on the ‘carnivore diet.’ The appeal is that it avoids unhealthy highly-processed foods in favor of a more organic diet. However, it isn’t the balanced diet that a young child needs. Also, babies are not physically ready to eat many of the foods in the carnivore diet.
