Zombies? Really?
Legacy is the second book in the Endlessly series. The story of Ashley the vampire/dragon and Verloren, her vampire boyfriend picks up right after they have destroyed the evil Quatre. They take refuge in an underground refuge where they are introduced to a collection of otherworldly creatures.
And from there it is downhill(pardon the pun)all the way.The addition of zombies was my first clue that this was going to be a gruesome read.I have never been a fan of zombies, and this book just reenforced my loathing of the use of them. Legacy is a darker and sadder addition to the series. Overall, this was not a great read for me. However, the raw emotion expressed in this book as (spoiler alert) Ashley deals with the loss of Verloren comes across very real and heartfelt. Anyone who has dealt with the loss of someone dear to them will easily identify with her expressions of her grief.
As someone who dearly loves a good fairy tale, I can only hope that Phantom, the next in the series is not quite as dark and sad as this installment was.
Let's look at loyalty
Legacy continues the story, the love story I should say between the main characters and is also a lesson on relationships in general and about loyalty. We know the ending can't be too good for Ash and the V man to allow for the trilogy but enthusiasm is waning just a bit. Will read number three as I am curious as to what will happen with our often unpleasant werewolf but am glad the trilogy will be over.
A honeymoon that goes south.
Second in the series and a bigger glimpse into the world. The three main characters are back and caught up amongst trouble once again. The writing style is kind of chick lit/Thriller with a paranormal setting. And i say chick lit only because, unlike the first, this book follows the main female character instead of the male. The world itself is great, every time something about it is revealed you still feel like there is much more to still be said. The ending is dramatic and took a turn I didn't see coming, nor really wanted to happen. But it did serve as a great ending for a great book. Kept me reading like not every book does. Worth the buy if you enjoy paranormal lit with a gritty feel.
if not sad.
The Endlessly series, was very different. I haven't read too many books where the first person changes with every book. It grossed me out a little that Jason had to eat the victims, but the story was compelling and the characters were very interesting, if not sad.
great read
I really enjoyed this book. It was unexpected what happens in the end. I loved how it flowed from one book to the next.
