    Publisher's Summary:
From YouTube sensation Zoella comes a debut coming-of-age novel that perfectly captures what it means to grow up and fall in love in today's digital world. Girl Online is the first book to be published by Keywords Press, an imprint under Simon & Schuster dedicated to today's digital stars.
I have this dream that, secretly, all teenage girls feel exactly like me. And maybe one day, when we realize that we all feel the same, we can all stop pretending we're something we're not... But until that day, I'm going to keep it real on this blog and keep it unreal in real life.
    Penny has a secret.
Under the alias GirlOnline, Penny blogs her hidden feelings about friendship, boys, high school drama, her crazy family, and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets Noah, a gorgeous, guitar-strumming American. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.
But Noah has a secret, too, one that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.

    So good!
this book was amazing! it had me laughing, almost crying and saying, "no way!" I really enjoyed the tale of little Penny and Noah.
    AMAZING
I loved this so much I think Zoe Sugg did a perfect job with this story, can't wait for the sequel!!!
    Great book highly recommended
I loved this book it was a very lovely story. If you get the chance to read it I urge you to.
    Loved the book!
This book made my rides to and from work very entertaining. The narrator was great. I'm excited for a sequel and possible movie?
    Two Narrators Necessary
Personally, I find it frustrating when a book with a large number of both gender characters doesn't also have two narrators. In this case, I was supremely disappointed that the book did not have a British AND an American narrator. Hannah Tointon's portrayal of Noah was so off that it really distracted from the story itself. While it's not the greatest story, the part in the end where Penny is finally found out and slayed all over the internet is a really poignant and necessary message for young people today. In the midst of what I found to be a very fluffy story, that was the part that most prominently stuck out to me. That being said, if given the chance to listen to it again, I probably wouldn't.

A strong opening, and a very trope-filled finish
I will say that the initial set-up of this world was really interesting, and I got very excited. The characterization felt full, and the beginning interactions the characters had with one another was nuanced and clever.
And then... something happened... I'm not sure what, but suddenly all the characters became flat. And were suddenly only driven with single minded purpose. And then magic, and everything worked out. And near the end the book just started beating you over the head with tropes like "Unlike MOST girls-- she's COOL" "I've never liked girls, except YOU, you --unlike most females-- are SPECIAL"
I honestly can't finish the last 30 minutes even though I was enthralled with the beginning.
    Good book, not great
    Any additional comments?
This book was pretty good, but not a favorite. It kept my attention and moved at a good pace. I liked that the main character was a reasonably strong female. There were three male characters in her life, but only a hint at romance. I wasn't crazy about the large wildcats in the story - that seemed a bit strange. I wouldn't look for the next book in the series because in the end I didn't care enough about the characters or their relationships. I don't regret listening to this book, but I wouldn't seek out another.
    Good book
Really good book, not one of my top favorites, probably won't ever read it again.

    Not my favorite.
was Ok at beginning but Jesus is the main character flaky. make a decision and stick to it, goofus!!! Just way too much helpless confused heroine to me.
Really??? All that for such a stupid ending.
Was a huge waste of time. Don't buy. Male's voices were also terrible. Very Disappointed.

"Maggie Mayfield's tumultuous family life is skillfully depicted through the masterful pacing and vocal modulation of narrator Therese Plummer.... Plummer expertly mines the depths of emotion of each family member, and her portrayal of Maggie is a tour de force. Listeners will long remember this remarkable child and her fascinating family." not the whole story
only 2/3 of the book. other junior novelizations do this, but it is annoying to say the least.
    do not purchase
Half of a junior novel is hardly worth a purchase. This book was censored and cut the story off half way through.
Book ended before the store it was over I've seen the movie
The book ended before it was over it wasn't done very well there was no extras I'm actually sorry I wasted my money on this just watched an movie instead
    Great Narration but too short
Chris Patton did a great job narrating and the story was fine but incomplete. I'm not sure this was worth an entire credit.
    Disappointed
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
It could have been the whole story instead of just half of it.
What was most disappointing about Chris Wyatt and Marvel Press s story?
    Only half the story.
What does Chris Patton bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
I like audiobooks because I can do other things while listening. He was a good narrator.
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It is Marvel. It is Guardians of the Galaxy.
    Any additional comments?
I don't feel like I got my moneys worth.

"We all have a secret buried under lock and key in the attic of our soul. This is mine."
When 15-year-old Oscar Drai suddenly vanishes from his boarding school in Barcelona, no one knows his whereabouts for seven days and seven nights.
His story begins when he meets the strange Marina while he's exploring an old quarter of the city. She leads Oscar to a cemetery, where they watch a macabre ritual that occurs on the last Sunday of each month. At exactly 10 o'clock in the morning, a woman shrouded in a black velvet cloak descends from her carriage to place a single rose on an unmarked grave.
When Oscar and Marina decide to follow her, they begin a journey that transports them to a forgotten postwar Barcelona - a world of aristocrats and actresses, inventors and tycoons - and reveals a dark secret that lies waiting in the mysterious labyrinth beneath the city streets.
Carlos Ruiz Zafon's haunting Marina has long been a cult classic in Spain and is now an international best seller.

    Excellent narration
This impressed me as a mash-up of Frankenstein and the Phantom of the Opera, set in Barcelona. Dark, gothic setting, lots of stormy nights and spectral sightings. A little over-the-top for my taste, although I loved the narration.
carlos ruiz zafon s style is exceptional
loved it, couldnt get my hands of it. if you dont want a possible spoiler, stop reading now. carlos ruiz zafon amazes me everytime with his writing style. poor hermain, and oscar. the beach...... oh man, my heart goes out with this book, i feel like crap and depressed. but amazing book all in all.
    Painfully Beautiful
If you are looking for a bizarre and convoluted gothic mystery, look no further. This is a beautifully written book, but be prepared to feel like your heart has been kicked when you get to the end.
    Adventure, Love, Mystery & SciFi!!
I have read each of the Author's books as they are released in English. Each has its own appeal. I love all of his books! The plot is a bit macaab.... but kept me on the edge of me seat, wanting to listen to more..... Beware it is a tear jerker!
    good stuff

If they can't figure out what''s going on, Riley and everyone she loves could become a Believer forever.
    Members Reviews:
Series continues to be be Meh
This follow on novel to "The Breeders" series is an improvement over the first novel. Yet,it still has many structural problems and holes. First, the pace of the plot moves way too slow. Second, the plot has way to many answered questions that future novels won't answer. Third, we see a little character development in Riley but the other characters stagnate. For example, French is leading you down one road with Clay (Riley's love interest) and then abruptly does and about-face and sweeps a whole bunch of things under the rug and then moves in a different direction - very jarring.
The truth is, I want to like this series but I can't seem to get there. Yet, I also can't seem to say enough is enough. It's like eating creamed spinach -- it's kind'a good. Mercer-Meyer really needs to pick up the pace of narration. She read s-l-o-w and this is very distracting. The whole thing should be read in 8 hours instead of 10.
This YA novel, I give it a solid sideways thumb.
    Amazing series!
I want the crazy breeders to have a horrible end. I love the characters & the way they interact. The love they have for each other as a family & the lengths they go to against all odds for each other has really moved me. I can't wait til 4 comes out
    The Believers
Riveting! Nearly impossible to put down! The words coupled with the narrated version is out standing. I can see the book as a movie in my mind. I've got to have this series by Katie French.
    Enjoyed both books
Not as good as the first one, but still glad I listened to it. The last part dragged on a bit but for the most part I liked it.
Creative story, great characters.... Like the narrator. Wondering if there will be a third?
