Edge of your seat horror

Blood Worship is a dark horror that will grip you from beginning to end. The vampires of this Chasing Vampires series are not the kind of vampires that are all the craze right now. You won't find sparkly vampires or vampires to fall in love with in this book. The vampires in this book are the epitome of evil and darkness. They represent the monsters that we used to see them portrayed as years ago, with no humanity or compassion. People are nothing more than food to the vampires in this series.

Jessie is a teenager who starts to have visions and visits from her dead mother. People in her town are dying and she wants to know why. As she tries to unravel the mystery of the deaths of her friends, Jessie becomes a target of one of these vile creatures in Blood Worship. Jessie is a believable character as a teenager who has suffered a tragedy and isn't willing to give up on finding out what is happening.

I enjoyed reading the book. It's an easy read and I finished it on the same day I started reading it. When you think about a story after you've put it down and can't wait to start reading more, you know it's a good book!

Couldn't put it down, can't wait for the rest.

Let me start by saying I normally do not read vampire books. I love a good thriller, but I'm not too into gore or really scary ones.

I started this book thinking, 'If it gets too much, I'll just stop reading.'

Ha. Couldn't stop reading. I kept making excuses to come back and read when I should have been working.

This is a keep-looking-over-your-shoulder page turner.

And the vampire in this is so truly evil and he obviously enjoys his evilness immensely.

I'm sure I'll re-read (something I rarely do), just to see what I might have missed while I wait for the second in the trilogy.

Haven't read it yet but am sure I will really like it.

Read a lot and ordered this book to read on my Kindle in the future. I like to read vampire books and am sure I will enjoy this book when I can get to it.

Excellent Beginning

Just finished the book and now have to wait impatiently for book two. ITs a good book, with great characters. Highly recommend this book...now if only the author would give me book two..

Happy endings

It is interesting to wonder about the traditions in relationships including parenthood within a world of monsters. However over all, I am glad to see the end of this series, glad Ash finds her man again, glad Jason finds his true love but mostly glad I don't have to think about another book. Still a good read but never gets above those three stars for me anyway. This book is almost too pact and gives you the impression that it could all have been said in one book.

The End of Endlessly

Well, Endlessly has finally come to an end. And not a moment too soon.This was probably my least favorite of the series. The story deal with Jason the werewolf, close friend of Ashley and Verloren.His foul mouth and quick temper make this character hard to like.But there is a soul mate out there for him and Phantom is about his journey.

One of the reasons I had trouble with this book was the horrible editing for grammar.There was hardly a page that didn't have misspellings or worse.Occasional slips are just taken for granted, nobody is perfect, but this went beyond the pale for me.

So we finally have happily ever after in Endlessly Land.And I would like to read another C.V.Hunt novel. She has a unique style that I enjoyed.

Awsome

This trilogy was so good u couldn't put them down. I cried and laughed. I was swept away into the book. It felt like I was right there.

When it comes to love, there is a phantom in all of us...

C.V. Hunt wraps up her Endlessly series this month with the third and final installment entitled Phantom. I reviewed the first two novellas last year and have quickly become a fan and friend of C.V.'s.

At a time when vampire and werewolf fiction runs rampant online and on the shelves, I've found Mrs. Hunt's writing to be quite different and enjoyable for three reasons: (1) She has a true talent for strong dialogue which really gives her writing a quick pace. It's not drawn down my too much descriptive prose like some work in this character drive genre. (2) Hunt peppers her story with other supernatural characters like witches, gargoyles, trolls, and even a mermaid in the latest book which really offer up some new color. (3) Her characters know what they are and most have accepted their fate. Her writing is focused on their interactions and dramas with one another, outside of just romance.

In Phantom, the story is told by Jason, a werewolf from the previous books who was friends with Verloren, killed off in the last book. Jason is still crushing on Ash who is at a loss while mourning Verloren. But Jason's real soul mate, Oz, is just out of reach.

He decides to return to the underground supernatural refuge where all of book two took place, and where a few vampires and gargoyles are still holding sanctuary.

10*s. WOW. This is a fabulous, fast paced read!! Wicked Paints is a horror story with a twist!! Elizabeth, the crazed artist who paints what she saw of Xander Stryker and made it feel real, and of course being the last painting she would ever do!! Elizabeth saw and felt everything that was Xander and made him come alive through her artistic ablitilies.

I felt like I was one with the character and the flow of the book was just....WOW!! It left me thinking at the end about the turn of events!!

Thank you, Nathan Squiers, for this awesome short story and a sneak peek into Xander's life from an outsiders perspective!!

Artistic Integrity at Any Price!

'Forbidden Paints on a Wicked Canvas' is Nathan Squiers's story of Elizabeth, a talented but misunderstood artist tormented by visions of a world she doesn't understand but is compelled to portray. It pulled me in and held my attention until its wicked conclusion.

First of all, I loved how this is written as though it were a real account, perhaps a detailed police report, readdressed in a fictional format. Its brand of delusion is just crazy enough that it still contains a vein of truth, a vein that continues down through the many layers of narrative until it resonates on very personal levels.

It begins, as the story does, with dreams. I felt at ease with Squiers's depiction of the power of what we witness while we sleep. He thoroughly understands how real these visions are, and their very warranted sway over our waking lives. He reminded me that some of the truest people I have ever met were the ones encountered in the realm of slumber--yet that these shadowy figures were often unpredictable and untrustworthy.

Many scenarios struck a personal cord, especially those concerning social interactions and the general populace's misunderstanding of art's true value and meaning. I could tell that there was an element of personal experience expressed in these passages, and appreciated that the author had no issue in being transparent about his frustration.

Although Squiers hints at the dark forces at work behind this tale, the sudden onset of violence is powerful.

Love Like Death Review

Love Like Death is a YA paranormal romance/thriller, and starts with our young hero - 15 year old Blake Adamson - in the midst of a life and death struggle not only to save himself from the burning orphanage that has been his home, but also to save the wheelchair bound girl he loves, Lilly, from the murder at the hand of arsonist/head master Webster. Failing his mission to rescue Lilly, Blake's world crashes around him; physically with the collapse of the burning structure, emotionally as he grieves, and mentally, as he lay waiting for death to take him.

Instead, he sees what he considers several visions; a sleek black panther that taunts him with psychic abilities, followed by the Phillip and Fallen, whose bantering informs Blake that his lifetime of torture and abuse has been commanded by an unknown man by the name of Sennacherib. If you are familiar with Roland Yoeman's previous publications, and his writing blog, then you will not be disappointed to learn that Blake Adamson has as much snark and a death wish as any of Roland's characters. There were a few differences with this novel, and I had a very blunt conversation via e-mail with Roland. He responded to my bluntness with his usual good humor and forgiveness.

I Could Not Put It Down - Go Get Ya Some!

Imagine that for a second, if you will, 100 lifetimes! Loved the story line, fresh and unique. I hope there is more to come with this from Casse NaRome.

The world gets a bit dark as Dain travels on his journey of self-discovery, first loves, and reincarnation. Which being written in a males POV - just makes it even more interesting--I could not put it down. Betrayal, tragedy, fear, trust, loyalty, and other emotions come into play as the story quickly moves forward keeping me rivited to my seat. Non-stop action from one scene to the next.

The characters and their backgrounds are well developed, likable, believable, and personable. That is one thing I liked about this read, the characters, the dialogue between them is emotionally, yet logically portrayed. I felt like I could see them standing and talking right in front of me. Love that!

I recommend this story to anyone wanting a fresh spin on YA Reads! Go Get Ya Some!!

Not really my cup of tea. Also needs alot of editing. Too hard to follow idea to start with without having to try and guess what the author meant to write

Like a Jack Finney novel

I absolutely loved this book. It was reminiscent of Jack Finney's 1970s novel Time and Again, only instead of time travel, we were dealing with reincarnation. What a unique concept for a story plot. Without giving anything away, this reincarnation story was not what I expected...at all.

The book was fast-paced and well-written. I just hated to see it end...until I found out there would be two more books. I highly recommend this book if you like love stories that last through time, plus some mystery and sci-fi mixed in. It was wonderful.

Slow beginning, but excellent read!

This is a very interesting story. Love, destiny, and reincarnation make for a unique read. Characters were great. It started a bit slow for me (my only complaint and reason for 4 out of 5 stars), but once into the book I couldn't put it down. There is just the right amount of action and adventure to make this story really come alive. I'll be recommending this book!

different and I loved it

This was a great read. I loved that it was something different from any thing I have read. It had the 100 lifetimes that made it interesting. It brought friendships together and even though the characters may not have all loved each other they still got along to a point. A great YA read with a chunky hero and strong characters both male & female.

Great Imagination needs some polish!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No! This has to be a beginning writer. She has a great imagination but she lacks in other areas.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I loved the idea of vampire Vikings.! The story had all the aspects needed to fly, but unfortunately it only puttered on the runway.

What does Ginny You bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

What? Who is Ginny You! LOL

Was Viking Vampires Voyage and Vampire of the Sea worth the listening time?

Perhaps. In its current form it is admittably hard to read.

Any additional comments?

A few things I would like to say about this book. First please stop using I so much there were so many times the author just chickened out and used I instead of taking the time to flesh out the story and tell us why I. Also stop using just one or two words to describe something. For instance tell us why you so desperately needed blood. We know its been a while since you've fed, but what has that done to you? Is your skin shriveled? Looking like old parchment paper, browned and so thin it might rip at the slightest touch. Instead of the hard as steel, polished marble appearance it has when you are sated with blood

Or instead of describing a love interest as simply beautiful, tell us why you find him so. This would add so much to this story. I would be very interested to reread this if it is ever reworked.
