    Clean Mystery Romance
What did you love best about Drawn from Darkness?
My husband and I share the same account and this is one of my Reads. I liked that it was historical and clean and the cover drew me into the story. I like a happy ending and the mystery inside the novel, kept me wanting to hear what happened next.
What other book might you compare Drawn from Darkness to and why?
Sorry no idea about this one.
    Which scene was your favorite?
These are hard to do without giving away the story so stop reading if you don't want a spoiler. I liked the way he got saved and come to know the Lord by reading with her and studying the Bible.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
God's divine healing Romance and love the way He intended
    Any additional comments?
This is my first book by Barbara Goss but I'm going to listen to some more soon. I love clean novels but those that are filled with Romance are my favorite. This was a great listen and I'm so happy that there are authors out there that put clean works out for us to listen too. Thanks Mrs. Goss
    Told from the heart
The more I read or listen to this series, the more I'm loving the stories. Each one is different in its telling, the common factors are the town, the religious element and the love building between two people.
Yet, to me it seems as if each is told from the heart and this is what I love.
In this particular one we have Nellie and Nicholas falling in love, Nicholas' very jealous and crazy step brother, loving parents and step parents and very supportive friends.
Then we have trust and a bit of a lack of communication between the two main characters and their rebuilding of their trust in this relationship.
Shawn Zuzek has a vey interesting voice and uses it well in his narration of this tale giving us a great combination of story and the telling of it.
I am quite happy to recommend this book and the audio version of it. It was really quite enjoyable.
The audiobook version was provided by the author at no cost and this is my unbiased review.
    Truly loved this book.
What did you love best about Drawn from Darkness?
    All of the book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Drawn from Darkness?
It was totally a wonderful job. How Nickleus was willing to change his life to know Jesus.
What about Shawn Zuzeks performance did you like?
    He did a wonderful job.
If you could rename Drawn from Darkness, what would you call it?
This name suited this book , because Nickleus came out of the darkness to the light of the word.
    Any additional comments?
    Totally Great!
    Great book
this book brought back memories of when I was learning about my Lord and Savior. Loved that is had verse's that might lead someone to see God's love. I think this book is definitely a must read.

    Awesome book
This book won't disappoint! Fun, Inspirational, and makes you want to read to the end.
    great read
loved it! great book for teens, and new love and the feelings that go with falling in love
    Well-imagined story well told
Airlis is a fascinating look at the awkwardness and excitement that is the struggle to grow up and figure out what life is and what it should become. The time flew by the first and second time listening to the passion and enthusiasm of the author telling the story of David and his friends as they come to and grow through challenges and help each other through them. Many of the experiences could easily have happened for many readers/listeners. There are so many laugh out loud scenes along with some seriously thought-provoking moments. The level of detail and character developmental make this an enjoyable story with rewards for those who go through it again.

    Publisher's Summary:
Writer Imogen Ashen didn't mind at all that during her childhood her gypsy mother Soleda would disappear for weeks on end. Her devoted grandfather George was more than happy for his granddaughter to stay with him at 22 Montanella Street. It was in his cottage with her feet dangling from a kitchen stool that Imogen first began to tell the stories. Vivid stories about horses and promises, ducklings and noblemen.
Many years later Imogen inherits the cottage and she and her husband move in. She unpacks quickly and settles down to work, excited to be telling stories in the cottage again. But for the first time in her life she is struck with a solid case of writer's block. Two black kittens appear on her windowsill every morning and she quickly becomes besotted with them, and they with her. When little Tsuki and Taiyo aren't curled up on Imogen's lap, they're scampering through the cottage or following her around the rose garden. The curtains close on spring, summer blooms, and still not a word has been written. "What would I do without you two?" she asks her furry companions.
    If she only knew....
Once upon a Path explores the power of intentions as it flows from present to past and back again. A gentle yet powerful reminder that all things are connected.

    Beautiful journey
Really loved this beautifully written tale which I devoured in one sitting! An insightful story of the journeys people take and the interconnected nature of souls and life. I finished this heartwarming story feeling light and very hopeful. Looking forward to the next book!!
Ps if you are new to this style of story and unsure what to expect, it's a beautifully woven tale of different lives and spans generations. Although very different books, if you enjoyed the Alchemist then I believe you'll love this!
    Wonderfully Written
It's rare to read a story that seems to take place in the authors mind...flitting from time period to time period but even though the characters change they're lovingly the same soul. First time I have read something like this book. Very glad I did.
    Soulful
The connections between souls, be they human or animal, encased in reincarnation, was lovely. A good, albeit short, read. Enjoyed.
    Wonderful book!
Highly recommend this beautiful book about soul connections. Its a story about past lives and how souls recognise one another. It's an easy read but will leave you wanting more. Happy reading! â
    Once upon a path
5 star rating. It kept me reading from the beginning to the end, without stopping. Excellent story, I highly recommend it.

Can a young girl named Angel turn it all around, and show Leslie that love truly is blind?

Beauty is only skin deep is an understatement.
From top model to top patient, Leslie has to find redemption in more than just her looks. After a fateful night in just trying to get home, Leslie's whole world is taken from her and the ones that love her feel the repercussions. Will Leslie be able to identify her attacker and get her life back or will she just succumb to being a victim?
    A fabulous message
Great book! kept you wondering what was going to happen.Toward the end came to realize that the enter self was more important than the outer self. It look a little girl who had scarring of herself for Leslie to see that the heart is an important organ for love.
    The Cutting Edge
    Love Ace Collins!
    The Cutting Edge
A young woman comes home to seek approval or is she looking for justification about a decision she has made mentally, but not acted on. She is about to come against the biggest threat of her life. While not making anyone aware she is on her way home, just waiting for a cab, Leslie Rhoads finds herself ensnared in a trap that leads her down an unbelievable and unforeseeable life-altering experience.
Meg is an ER nurse who is Leslieâs cousin and is shocked when a young woman near death is wheeled into the emergency room. She calls up from deep within herself the ability to hold herself together while seeing such brutality. What she later realizes is that she knows the patient, and the patient has been running away from her life in the small town of Springville for years.
Leslieâs mother is a character almost beyond description and is not the most caring or compassionate mother when she first sees the scars left by the assault to her daughter; all she can see is lost money. As hours turn into days and days into weeks, the police are stumped and not sure how to proceed.
In the meantime, as Leslie vainly tries to end her suffering, she is engaged with a little patient in the same hospital who suffers similar pain. Is the pain merely skin deep or does it go all the way into the soul of the victim? Will those who did such a violent act ever be brought to trial?
By the way, a high school flame comes to visit Leslie just after her first surgery and she is unable to view anything other than blue eyes. Leslie believes she is âuglyâ through and through and if Hunter is interested in her it is a missionary date and nothing more, but is it? For those who donât know what missionary dating is, it is going out with someone for reasons other than relationship interest.
So many characters bring this novel to life that the reader might even forget this isnât reality! Each time I started a new chapter the climax kept building as the reader knows that the antagonist isnât simply going to disappear.

    Darkness Before Dawn
I think this book is very well done both in content and narration. I wouldn't want to be in this lady's shoes but the book shows how fragile our connection to God and the guidance of His Spirit is sometimes, and how patient God is with us on the road that leads to His kingdom. That sounds really heavy but it is well worth the credit.

    Publisher's Summary:
Some believed he was the second coming of Christ. William wasn't so sure. But when that drifter was buried next to the family distillery, everything changed.
Now that Prohibition has ended, what the townspeople of Twisted Tree, Kentucky, need most is the revival of the Old Sam Bourbon distillery. But William McFee knows it'll take a miracle to convince his father, Barley, to once more fill his family's aging house with barrels full of bourbon.
When a drifter recently buried near the distillery begins to draw crowds of pilgrims, the McFees are dubious, but miracles seem to come to those who once interacted with the deceased and to those now praying at his grave. As people descend on the town to visit the "Potter's Field Christ", William seeks to find the connection between the tragic death of his younger brother and the mysterious drifter.
But as news spreads about the miracles at the potter's field, the publicity threatens to bring the depth of Barley's secret past to light and put the entire McFee family in jeopardy.
The Angels' Share is a story of fathers and sons, of young romance, of revenge and redemption, and of the mystery of miracles.
    Members Reviews:
    Is this homeless man Jesus?
It is hard to pigeonhole The Angelsâ Share in the sense of literary category, theme, or purpose. The author, James Markert, has a history degree and categorizes The Angelsâ Share as âcommercial fiction set during historical times.â The publisher classifies it as both General Fiction (Adult) and Christian. Four major threads compete for attention--the Depression, Prohibition, the bourbon industry, and a confusing Christlike figure.
Times are particularly hard in the fictional town of Twisted Tree where Prohibition has raised unemployment levels due to the closing of the distillery. The family that owned the distillery mysteriously seems to fare well financially, but there are dark tones to their story.
Homeless people play a major role in this novel, as in almost any tale of this era. One, in particular, stands out: Asher Keating, who has already passed away when the story begins. A much decorated war hero who saved the lives of hundreds of fellow soldiers, he quietly accumulates a following as he roams around healing, feeding the hungry, and providing clothing. Is he Jesus fulfilling the second coming? Is he a guardian angel? Is he a lunatic?
The title The Angelsâ Share emphasizes both the process of making bourbon and the religious and philosophical questions posed. According to the author, angelsâs share is âthe quantity of whisky lost to evaporation during the aging process.â Tradition says that distillers share their bourbon with the angels as an offering so they will protect the distillery from fire.
The Angelsâ Share is a very different book and a worthy read. The characters and their struggles are interesting. The setting, both locale and time, are essential to the plot. I donât consider it to be a âChristianâ book because it doesnât follow Biblical tenants and prophecies. It does have religion and relationship to God as thematic elements, and it does provoke thought about God, the homeless, and gifted individuals. The Angelsâ Share is well-written with its complex threads telling a story with depth.
