I found this story an inspiration of family, faith and love. The message of waiting upon the Lord and seeking His guidance was meaningful. The story covers five years in the life of Shelby along with her family and friends. It has heartache, friendship, anger, resentment, forgiveness and love. The characters and dialogue are heartwarming and emotional. The message of God's love and His forgiveness is told in such a way that you don't feel you are being preached at, but embraced in His love. We all need to put our life and trust into God's hands. It is a great follow up to the Good Soil training i received a few months ago. the story format was engaging to listen to and cemented some key ideas for evangelism and discipleship. it encourages me to practice evangelism right now.

Descent

I didn't realize this was a Christian mystery (my fault I overlooked that). I doubt I would have listened to it had I known. It was, however, not "in your face" nor was it very frequent. It really rolled with the story line. The mystery itself was okay, even alright. Narration was awesome and was my favorite part of this novel. Although I am making it sound as if I didn't enjoy this book, I actually did and didn't check to see how much listening I had left. Not sure if I'd listen to another in the series. I think I would. Nice to listen to a different lifestyle (ocean community). It was well written and good characters - that goes a long way with me.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was sent three audiobooks in the series to review.

A Christian novel, but not overbearing. I don't usually inbibe a work when described as "Christian". This series isn't pushy. Finny is a town in Central Coastal California, by the way. All three have been worth a listen and more.

Treasure

These christian cozy mysteries are just not for me.I will admit that this was much better than the first.The story ids stronger, though confusing to me trying to keep characters apart.Narration by Maddison Thyme has improved considerably!I was provided this book by the author,narrator or publisher.

Excellent super book

But I didn't advertise for a mail order bride...

Would you question your hearing if your grandma told you to go into town and pick up your mail order bride that you knew nothing about? That's how Stephen felt when his grandma "Mammie" told him just that. Sally Jersey and her four wards then come along. Can Sally and the kids convince Stephen he needs them? You'll just have to read this inspirational tale to find out. Thanks Teresa for another delightful read. I reptile wondering what was going to happen next!!! I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Excellent Old West Mail Order Bride Novella

If you like long short stories or novellas, the old west and Christian mail order bride stories, this book is for you. Stephen's grandmother wants more little children around and writes to a woman pretending to be Stephen in search of a mail order wife. Sally shows up with four children she hadn't even mentioned in her letters and not knowing Stephen hadn't written the letters she received. The confusion and attraction begins and the fun is watching the cords unravel and get knitted together the way the reader knew from the start that they need to be. The story is rich and complete. I was given a free copy of this novella for an honest review. I honestly recommend it to anyone enjoying a quick love story, and I honestly look forward to more from this author.u

Mammie, Stephen's Grandmother writes to Sally and she comes to Waterhole expecting to marry Stephen.

She has a secret and he doesn't want a bride.

Ani sees Khoa escape, and hopes to have Staver, Dueces' son, rescue her instead of hounding Khoa's trail to give him a head start. She places her paw in the mouth of the red iron dog, a man trap, and puts a twig in it to prevent her from really getting hurt, but the steel trap snaps the twig and she is caught in it for real. Scout, her father, and the pack are on the trail of Khoa, but get her scent and follow it until they realize Khoa isn't with her. Through a twist in the tale, Scout talks his daughter into leaving the pack and setting out to look for Khoa, which she does with the help of Retread, who happens to be one of the alpha pack leader, Dueces' son.

Very Insightful

A very insightful fictional account of what is happening in society today. I am hopeful people will see a parallel between the lives of these animals and our lives. Society wants us to all conform to certain beliefs and typically these beliefs are misleading. We need to be vigilant. I am looking forward to the rest of the books in this series!
