Publisher's Summary:
Ian and Braden Thomas return to the United States to extract Katie Buchanan, the sister of the teammate who betrayed them. She could very well be the key to taking down the man responsible for turning Ian and Braden into unstable cat shifters. Unfortunately, they're not the only ones after Katie. Katie has no intention of going quietly or of offering her trust on a silver platter. She's got troubles of her own that don't include two pain-in-the-ass men who claim her dead brother sent them. She's too busy trying to stay one step ahead of Ricardo de la Cruz, the brother of a man she killed. As the bodies pile up, Ian and Braden are only sure of one thing: Katie makes them crazy. Something about her calls to their inner predator. They both want her, but she's made a practice of making bad decisions and trusting the wrong men. And by the time she realizes that she can trust these two warriors, it might just be too late.
Members Reviews:
Story is great, narrator's reading voice is not
What did you love best about Into the Lair?
I really enjoy Maya Banks books, story line is great and sexy. I read the book years ago and bought the audiobook for that reason.
How could the performance have been better?
Narrator tries too hard to have a smokey, breathy voice for reading, the voice used to speak charaters lines wasn't that bad. The reading voice was too distracting for me to finish listening to the book. That alone makes me want to return the book for a refund.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Unfortunately, no, The narrator's reading voice was hard to bear.
Monotone supreme
The narrator was an amazing soporific.
Her lack of excitement and monotone voice turned the book in to a dull experience.
Narrator put me to sleep
Would you listen to Into the Lair again? Why?
No - The slow monotone of the narrator's voice was difficult to listen to.
What other book might you compare Into the Lair to and why?
none
What three words best describe Rebecca Estrellas performance?
monotone and boring
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The relationship between brother and sister.
Any additional comments?
If Rebecca Estrella is the narrator for book 3 in the series, I'll buy the electronic version.
AN EXCITING MÉNAGE......... BUT 2 WARNINGS
So, the story continues from book 1 as unstable shifters, 2 hot Mercanary brothers Ian and Braden, are sent on a babysitting/entrapment mission that backfires on them in more ways than one.
In this enjoyable, action-packed and well written listen the characters from book 1 get seemlessly intertwined in this exciting, fun, V.Hot ROUGH sex (M/F/M) listen (so warning No.1) as the heroine Kate must trust no-one, which includes the 2 sexy hot brothers, and there's good reason as pain, heartache, betrayal, kidnapping and murder haunt her and there's worse to come.... the villains wants her -1 wants her dead and the other wants her alive.
Worth a credit? Yes, it would have been but for 2 reasons - my 'under $10 rule applied and (warning No.
