Super cute, short and sweet romance...
If you're in the mood for sweet romance, Kate Perry has that genre on lock down! I've enjoyed this series so far, and surprisingly each story has been relatively unique. The Laurel Heights series is a great 'weekender' series; they are short one listen stories and will just whisk you away for a time. I absolutely melt for a love story that actually began years prior based on a solid friendship--this is that love story. Highly recommended for the true romantics out there!
A must read book or a great listen
I just loved this book, I had to smile at the way the story goes. It is a must read but am even better listen. I did not think I would like audible books but I have to tell you I think I am hooked.

    Title: Boomerang
Subtitle: A Boomerang Novel, Book 1
    Author: Noelle August
    Narrator: Amanda Wallace, Andrew Eiden
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 9 hrs and 19 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 07-15-14
    Publisher: HarperAudio
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 56 votes
    Genres: Romance, Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
The first book in a sensational New Adult trilogy from Noelle August. Welcome to Boomerang.com, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up.
Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. They're sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret. Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well, one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morning together. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post-hookup taxi to the same place: Boomerang headquarters.
What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, they're now competitors for only one job at the end of summer. As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other? Or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?

    Interesting Simultaneous Growth Story
This is a very well written feel good story. The whole idea is that Mia and Ethan have a one-night stand but wind working together, each an intern at Boomerang -- a dating service. There is only one permanent position though. The story is about all of the various blockages and obstacles, not so much about the conflict between the two. I like that August did a reasonable job developing the characters the main characters. She came up a little short in developing the supporting players if she intends to build on them in following works. This is nothing that cannot be overcome.
The narrators Wallace and Eiden do a solid good job. The novel is written alternating chapter perspective. This is becoming more common these days and each chapter opens with a question, more like a riddle.
If you are looking for a sultry novel, this is not it. It's packed with eccentricities and subtle humor. I reiterate, feel good. I recommend it as a read and I will read the next one in the series.
Looking Forward to More from Noelle August
This is a fun, stress free novel that is entertaining and worth the credit! Cute characters, good story. Enjoyable!
    Cute story; just wanted more
What made the experience of listening to Boomerang the most enjoyable?
The narration. Both narrators matched NA perfectly.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
it was okay; typical NA ending.
What about Amanda Wallace and Andrew Eiden s performance did you like?
they sounded the ages of the characters. you'd be surprised how old narrators sound portraying 21 yr olds.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    no
    Any additional comments?
Loved the narration, the story started out awesome but was just nothing different toward the middle and end. it was really tame, especially if you prefer explicit sex(i do) but it was cute.
    Cute Feel-Good Love Story!!!
This was my first book by Noelle August and I thought it was a very funny, and cute love story between Ethan and Mia. They were the perfect couple with some competition thrown into the story which made it even more interesting to listen to. I kept laughing at the dates they had to endure for their internship that my husband kept looking at me like I was crazy.

    Heartwarming Reunion...Eventually
It should be noted up front that this is Book 3 of a series.
Immediately, I got the feeling that this wasn't the 1st book of a series, but on Audible it's not labeled as being in a series. Heading over to Amazon, you'll find this is book 3. I'll be going back and reading the first two. Those characters were in this book and I found them engaging.
I really enjoyed this book but couldn't give it 5 stars because of the grammar and 'wrong word' mistakes in it, such as emancipated instead of emaciated. Those are kinda different. Also...well...everyone was just so darn polite! That seemed unrealistic.
In the beginning, I wasn't sure I'd like the heroine or the hero of this book. She seemed a bit weak (it may have been the narrator making her sound whiny) and he... Well, "jerk" would be a nice assessment, but they came around. She was stronger than I thought, and he was not so much an @ss. Of the two, I liked him best. I was glad I stuck it out. The book plot and characterization were similar to a traditional Harlequin-type book, but since I like those, it wasn't a problem for me where it might be an issue for others.
I particularly liked the secondary characters. They were well done and interesting. The strong sense of family and community made the story seem more real. The main love relationship of the story was sweet, and when I got to the end, I believed in their HEA without question. Overall, I found this to be a nice, easy read without too much angst or conflict. It was more two people who've made mistakes just getting through life and getting past the problems -- a slice of "real" life story.

    Title: Harder
Subtitle: Caroline and West, Book 2

    Narrator: Mike Chamberlain, Lynde Houck
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 9 hrs and 49 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 07-01-14
    Publisher: Random House Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 50 votes
    Genres: Romance, Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
In Robin Yorks provocative new novel, two young ex-lovers find themselves together again in the shadow of tragedy - and an intense, undeniable attraction.
Caroline still dreams about West. His warm skin, his taut muscles, his hand sliding down her stomach. Then she wakes up and shes back to reality: West is gone. And before he left, he broke her heart.
Then, out of the blue, West calls in crisis. A tragedy has hit his family - a family thats already a fractured mess. Caroline knows what she has to do. Without discussion, without stopping to think, shes on a plane, flying to his side to support him in any way he needs.
Theyre together again, but things are totally different. West looks edgy, angry at the world. Caroline doesnt fit in. She should be back in Iowa, finalizing her civil suit against the ex-boyfriend who posted their explicit pictures on a revenge porn website. But here she is. Deeply into West, wrapped up in him, in love with him. Still.
They fought the odds once. Losing each other was hard. But finding their way back to each other couldnt be harder.
    Critic Reviews:
"Bursting with chemistry, emotion, and heart, Caroline and Wests story will take your breath away!" (Katy Evans, New York Times best-selling author of the REAL series)
"Robin York writes exceptionally real characters in achingly real situations. Harder had a hold on my heart and didnt let go until the very end." (New York Times best-selling author Cora Carmack)

    3.75 stars
I hate that this book went from a Revenge Porn Plot to a "save him from his hot mess family" angsty NA. The Revenge Porn thing is not been explored that much so I was really enjoying it. But I guess the author defaulted to NA standard, rude boy from a messed up family who needs that love to give him the strength to aim higher.
The same narrator, same narration style so if you liked the way narrator told the story of Wes and Caroline in book 1, then it is the same but reverse here. In Book 1, Caroline was drowning in misery after her ex Nate released her pictures on social media. Wes gave her space, encouragement and used the bakery to give her something else to focus on. In this book Caroline was the anchor for Wes after his father died and his family was in a tailspin. Caroline had to endure some seriously mean attempts by Wes to push her away before he finally gave up fighting her and gave into their love. He found peace and joy and a clearly path to a new future.
I have mixed feelings about Caroline. When she wants something, she just ignores everything else. Some would call it focus and determination, I call saw her as having tunnel vision. I get her need to save Wes the way he saved her, but I found she sacrificed Bridget, her father's efforts on the lawsuits and even her own dignity at times to the altar of Wes. Maybe Wes was worth it, but I wanted more of a focus on the issue with Nate--on that crime that needed to be addressed more.

    Publisher's Summary:
I'll be honest with you - I'm no hero. Sure, the media tries to brand every Navy SEAL as some kind of Batman dressed in cammies. There's even a line in one of our cadences: "Superman is the man of steel, he ain't no match for Navy SEAL." You've seen the movies - we're indestructible, invincible. But that night, the one you read about in the papersall I really wanted to do was get laid.
One harmless f*** with a Curaçao whore, no strings attached. I picked her out of a lineup - wild, dark hair, long legs and a crooked smile. After she sucked me off, I relaxed back onto the creaky, cum-stained cot, thankful for the blissful moments she gave me when I actually forgot for a second the faces of my buddies who died because I made the wrong call, the tears of the children I couldn't save, and the eyes of the enemies I slaughtered during their last seconds of life.
But before I left, her hazel eyes peered into my soul. She whispered in a distinct Californian accent, "My name is Annie Hamilton. I'm an American citizen. I was kidnapped from a cruise ship five years ago. You're my last hope. Please save me."
One desperate plea. This wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster or a New York Times best-selling thriller. I knew that this time there was no room for excuses, no margin for errors. I had one chance to put the cape on and be her hero.

    Awesome!
Wow! This book was awesome. Great Seal book... loved the beginning, and all the action that took place as Pat rescued Annie... Pat was such a great character, and very believable. I think Annie should have been a bit more damaged, but you know what... it totally worked for this story. I totally enjoyed the entire book!
Narration... ok... not big on dual narration... I like the male narrator more than the female narrator...but it was ok...
    Great credit, buy or sale...
    This is everything
Annie is the type of woman all women should aspire to be, she is strong and able to persevere through the worst possible situations
the narrators were amazing and I cannot wait for the next audible Alana releases!!
    Love it!
Great Book Love it!!! This author is new to me but I'll be watching out for the The Trident Code Book 2. :)
Hero, Strength, Commitment, Honor - an Awesome mix
    Any additional comments?
When I read the synopsis for this book my first thoughts were Oh wow. This book was going to be raw, intriguing, and quite possibly very emotional. It was all that - and more... From the first pages you are drawn into a world of Navy Seals. When you think about a Seal you think hero, strength, commitment, honor... The hero in this story doesn't start out as a hero... Patrick is out looking for a little pleasure and hes willing to go to a brothel to get it. When he gets there he gets the surprise of a lifetime after he chooses Star out of a lineup. After business is finished she say's My name is Annie Hamilton. I'm an American citizen. I was kidnapped from a cruise ship five years ago. You're my last hope. Please save me.
I loved this story, it fulfills all your need and the narration was great... Hope book 2 is out soon !! :)
    Suspenseful SEAL romance!
This is the first book in this military suspense romance and I found it to be enthralling and well written.

    Awful
The writing is so cliche and eye rolling! Ugh!! The male narrator was good, but the female sounded like someone plugged her nose. It was super annoying. DNF about half way through.
    GREAT BOOK
I actually liked this book more than the first two in this series. I loved Zander and Ivy and the rest of the characters in this series. the narrators are good. looking forward to the next book.
    Love this series
The narrators their work so good together love love them , it's like I'm feeling their love for one another love them
not as good as first two in series
not sure why this story drove me crazy, but i found myself skipping parts of it, more and more as the story progressed. i am still glad i listened to it regardless as i adore the characters in this series, i think the story coulg have been told in five hours instead of eight. cutting some would have tightened it up. Both narrators are ok, but the way they are used does not work. The male voices from the female are much better than the female voices from the male. The moving back and forth between narrators does not enhance the experience. maybe if the female read all female diologue and the male read all male diologue, it would provide a much needed balance. glad zander got his story...
3.5 STARS GOOD YES BUT THE 'SIZZLE' WAS MISSING
I thought my trouble with this book was that I had just come down from a high after finishing an amazing trilogy (Driven) and in comparison this felt a little flat but I can now see that I am not alone in feeling that there was just something missing from this 3rd book.
There were good bits and bad bits, there was romance but I really didn't feel it from Ivy however Xander was sexy, handsome, loving and thoughtful. I had no problem with the plot which had a few surprises but the constant avoiding each other got boring and I just didn't feel the chemistry between Xander and Ivy or any sexual sizzle when they eventually 'hooked up'. The sex scenes were forgettable and a bit blah and River and Dahlia's sub plot was really sad.
Christian Fox's narration was good but Veronica Meunch sounded bunged up like she had a cold.
Worth a credit? If you are like me and are following this series then it's a must so despite everything, it keeps you up-to-date with what's going on and is an ok listen so yes creditworthy.

Noah he is just cool and smooth Martha makes him seem more real and smooth. She gives nothing away.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It is a very short listen about an hour so yes.
    Any additional comments?
A very short little read to remind us life can bring unexpected surprises. It was a charming little read that shows us sometimes blind dates are the very best surprises we could have. That is about all I can say without giving the book away. It was well written with a lovely story.
I have totally enjoyed this whole series I have read and listen to each book, I find them to be an outstanding whether you listen or read. Susan is a wonderful author that puts a lot of emotion in each book, she gives you wonderful characters that you can relate to. The narrator has a smooth mature tone, she puts a lot of emotion to the books. You can hear the humor in her tone and have to chuckle when she adds her sassy voice. Both the author and the narrator make the read flow smoothly in an easy flow way before you know it you are caught up in the book. I really recommend any of Susan's books whether the e-books or the audios.

Rocked My World = Totally Superliciousmo.. YUMMY
    Any additional comments?
This book totally rocked my world... I fell in love with the entire story and just adored Mason and Clair... Full of Nail biting Action, Burning Hot sex/love Scenes and loads of Heart pounding moments, you will full in love with this book toooo... Jodie Bentley done a perfect job Narrating and i got goose bumps every time I herd Mason's voice.. YUMMY
The book starts out and I was hooked straight away. We meet Mason a cop who was a MMA fighter and gave it all up. We also meet Claire who has a boyfriend and seems quite happy. In walks Mason and he turns her world upside down all over again. They previously hooked up for a one night stand and then he leaves and it crushes Claire. The story progresses and you are left asking if Claire will actually take Mason back and if she will let him back into her heart.
What I liked - a HEA, a fantastic story-line, a strong female lead, a sexy hot male lead, some great support characters, and a standalone book. This book is definitely worth 5 + stars and it was a total page turner for me... I thoroughly recommend it to those who like a good fight book with an awesome story line. :)
A hot, edge of your seat, read!
Mason "The Eagle" Bradley, now a detective, made the mistake of letting go the woman he loved. When a deadly assignment comes up involving a good friend of his ending up dead and his wife missing, he vows to make things right and tell her how he really feels.
Claire O'Brien had her heart shattered when Mason left. However, she tries to move on with good friend, NFL athlete Cooper Davis. She believes she can eventually love him the way he loves her until the day Mason shows up. Claire can't deny what her heart wants and decides to follow Mason to the city of sin, Las Vegas. There they try to discover what happened and Mason must enter back into his past of MMA fighting. They embark on all kinds of obstacles and it is one terrifying ride!
Would have been nice for a male voice for Mason.
    A Little Dissapointed
After reading all the reviews, I couldn't wait to to listen to this book.

Or at least, James Gallagher says he's married, even though Lauren has never actually seen him with a wife. His answers to her questions about it are vague and frustrating. Lauren doesn't want to risk getting to know Jim only to find out he's as bad as her ex. In fact, there are many reasons not to get involved with the mysterious man, but desire for him keeps overriding her common sense.
Every single time James Gallagher puts his desperate and needy hands on her, the only thought Lauren has is that Jim belongs to her. If he would only trust her with his secrets, she might be willing to risk her saintly reputation if it meant ending up in Jim's arms.

The Saint found her devilish side
This, as the two previous books in the series, was vastly entertaining and a great story line, keeping the reader entranced throughout.
l love the story about older women, although the book has appeal to all ages.
    More of the same
Another good offering. The story is as good as ever and is true to the book.
As with the first two books in the series I feel it has been let down by the narration.
Well worth a listen in spite of this.
Never to Late to be HAPPY!!
Would you consider the audio edition of Dating a Saint to be better than the print version?
No, the written version was better. No sure that I enjoyed the different voices used during the narration. In the written version, my vision of the characters did not fit the voices heard in the audio edition.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Loved Lauren. She was such a contradiction, she was so nice and fragile but able to kick butt with the best of them. Who would believe she had several black belts (smile). I would have loved for Jared (her ex) to "learn" more about her fighting skills. My second favorite was Hector. What a loving and caring person.
