Length: 6 hrs and 29 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 09-02-14

    Publisher's Summary:
Jack Reacher returns in the latest fast-moving, action-packed, suspenseful book from number-one New York Times best-selling author Lee Child.
You can leave the army, but the army doesnt leave you. Not always. Not completely, notes Jack Reacher - and sure enough, the retired military cop is soon pulled back into service. This time, for the State Department and the CIA.
Someone has taken a shot at the president of France in the City of Light. The bullet was American. The distance between the gunman and the target was exceptional. How many snipers can shoot from three-quarters of a mile with total confidence? Very few, but John Kott - an American marksman gone bad - is one of them. And after 15 years in prison, he's out, unaccounted for, and likely drawing a bead on a G-8 summit packed with enough world leaders to tempt any assassin.
If anyone can stop Kott, it's the man who beat him before: Reacher. And though he'd rather work alone, Reacher is teamed with Casey Nice, a rookie analyst who keeps her cool with Zoloft. But they're facing a rough road, full of ruthless mobsters, Serbian thugs, close calls, double-crosses - and no backup if they're caught. All the while Reacher can't stop thinking about the woman he once failed to save. But he won't let that that happen again. Not this time. Not Nice.
Reacher never gets too close. But now a killer is making it personal.

    loved it!
If you could sum up Swamp Bones: A Novella in three words, what would they be?
    suspenseful well written
What other book might you compare Swamp Bones: A Novella to and why?
it is hard to compare another book to this story but maybe Reichs "Break No Bones" is close.
    Any additional comments?
this was a great read. I really liked the humor in this one..
    Florida Agrees With Tempe
Tempe Brennan heads to the Everglades and is drafted into service when human bones are found inside a dead python. This is a short novella; less than three hours and it keeps the story moving quickly; unlike many of the Bones series works which become mired in detail and make interest difficult to maintain. The events which lead up to the climatic scene strain credulity to some extent but so do a great many selections in this genre. Given the minimal cost of this audiobook it's an excellent choice.
    Compelling
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Good story. Wish it had been longer.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Swamp Bones: A Novella?
The chase scene toward the end.
Which character as performed by Katherine Borowitz was your favorite?
    All of them.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    yes
    Excellent Book
Kathy Reichs is a great author. The mix of science and humor keeps you going. I even managed to learn something new.LOL
    Short but great listen
Short but one of the better ones. I read or listen to all her books. Some of the newer disappoint. Loved the narrator.

    wonderful series
all thses books are griping and thrilling
there intresting very well writen and enjoble
    brilliant
    good.
not one of my favorites by Patricia Cornwell, but the narrator did a very good job of separating the different characters so I could lay back and know who was talking thru her portrayal of each character. I've been a fan of Patricia Cornwell for many many years and this is one of her earlier books therefore I have read the ones beyond this story, so maybe that's why I didn't think this was excellent as ones I've read after. A good starting book for those who have read any books regarding Scarpetta.
    Consistently Good
Patricia Cornwall will never let you down and her narrator, Lorelei King is perfect. I highly recommend, with the proviso that you start the series at book one. You will then really get to know the main characters fully over the years the books cover.

    Members Reviews:
    Not hard to figure out
It didn't take long to figure out what was happening in this book. It was all pretty obvious. Nell is still really annoying & almost ruined the book a few times being nosy and pretentious. But overall this one fell flat. Each book in this series has a new random stranger come to town, then a murder, then a found link to a townsfolk who was responsible. Each and every book follows that same format, and it just got old. There is nothing new to be had here, and it didn't take too long to know "who" Jules was.
    Another Well Written Delight!
What did you love best about Murder in Merino?
Sally Goldenbaum is not a raucous voice in mystery writing. Her mysteries involve intrigue and deception, with a loveable group of women of all ages who knit together. As her characters try cables, lace, sweaters, her story of this group and how the intrigue fits their lives, envelops you in a ozy shawl of delight.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Murder in Merino?
The feel of her words as they flow, is always a treat. This book is outstanding in character development, and intrigue.
What about Julie McKays performance did you like?
She reads Sally's books in a style I embrace. It's measured, not overdone and realistic.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Character development
    Any additional comments?
No ums, no, "saids," as in, she said. You know who is speaking and why without the distraction of abruptly pointing you to the speaker. Sally's characters don't need, "Nell said," to know Nell is speaking. It is always obvious and never breaks the delicate rhythm of the suspension of disbelief to embrace the book.

The last few students climbed through windows, black smoke billowing out of them. The teacher turned to his student. "I'll let you down first."
"But Coach, whose going to help you?"
"Hey, you're my best fielder, I expect to jump right into your arms," he said. "Just promise not to whip me over to Smith for a double play."
The young man, his face streaked with soot, grinned at his coach. "Yeah, Coach, I promise."
He took the young man's hands in a tight grip and slowly lowered him out the window. When he had extended his reach as far as he could, he let him go.
The student fell into the evergreen boughs, the prickly needles scraped his arms, but the branches kept him from hitting the ground.
He rolled off the bushes and jumped up as fast as he could. He turned his eager face up to the window. "Okay, Coach," he called.
The explosion violently blew the windows out of the building. Screaming students darted across the lawn, barely escaping the shards of glass raining down on them. All of the students except Stevo, who still stood below the gaping hole in the wall, oblivious to the blood running down his face and arms. "Coach, Coach," he screamed. "I'm here, Coach. Coach, I'm here."
Mary O'Reilly investigates the death of a beloved high school coach while she tries to overcome the repercussion of solving Jeannine's murder.

This is the one that made me give up.
I rather enjoyed the first three books in this series. I held on, hoping for more character development and because I was curious about the central mystery of Bradley's wife. However, number five was a terribly plotted mystery, needlessly gruesome, and it repeated several twists and tropes she'd employed in earlier novels. Everyone is either very bad or very good. There is no nuance. I'm not sure why I went for the sixth, I had to give up after four chapters.
I might have kept going anyway, but the narrator trying to do a Scottish dialect completely killed it. Has she ever heard a Scot in her life? Far better not to attempt it at all! I shut it down after the fifth haggis joke. No.
Also, by this book, I was ready to scream every time anyone in the book chuckled. The combination of the overuse of the phrase, "Mary chuckled" and the unvarying way the narrator delivers it turned into fingernails on chalkboard.
Boring and more filler than mystery
The book description sounded pretty good. An explosion at a local high school causes a death of a teacher. But this book is more about rehashing the last book. And does everyone in this series have to be so nice and agreeable? Even the character descriptions are off putting. Mary is often referred to as a fragile warrior and Bradley is a flawed knight.
Mary is dealing with a very nasty case of PTSD, Bradley is dealing with his wife's death, Rosie and her beau are engaged, and on top of that Mary agrees to watch her neighbors kids for a few days or weeks. For the first 100 pages we go back and forth between PTSD, the kids, wedding plans, and Ian pining for his financee.
By the time the mystery starts it's a bit dull. No life or death moments, just a simple laying out of the facts.
I have now read or listened to six books in this series.

Rhyme and Sachs just get better and better!
Would you consider the audio edition of The Skin Collector to be better than the print version?
Not read print version, so have no opinion on this.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Skin Collector?
Amelia Sachs at the initial crime scene. Being claustrophobic myself, can really appreciate her fear.
What about Jeff Hardings performance did you like?
Again, a Master of the vocal art and a joy to listen to.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and would have done if possible.
    Wouldn't recomend
    Any additional comments?
The story was over long before the author stopped writing. Also I found his inclusion of totally non-related plotlines to be tedious and I real a drag on the main story. The author should have counted on the success of a crisp, well written book to encourage readers to buy new books.

Not a Great Mystery, But Enjoying Mattie's Life
I have become attached to Mattie and the characters in this series, so my standards aren't super high with the mysteries. However, this was definitely not a favorite for a couple of reasons. The mystery was set in a nursing home and I don't really care for the portrayal of old folks in this book. They are mostly played crudely and for laughs. I have never found the character of the sex starved old lady who is supposed to be funny/repulsive to be amusing. I gather plenty of people do find that funny since this author certainly isn't the only one to put in such characters for humor. It seems especially off when they are also trying to make statements about the value of life. That wasn't a big deal though. What I found weak about the mystery was that no one ever solves it. They investigate but really nothing gets accomplished until the killer basically comes forward. I prefer my detectives to actually solve the mystery not just work on it until it blows up in their face. Still, I enjoyed Mattie and Hurley. I was surprised by how quickly they fell back in together after the cliffhanger ending of the last book. Although there are some things left up in the end at the end of this one, Mattie seems in a better place in her life than usual. I wish the next one was available on Audible!
    Starting to tire
Light, and easy listen. Didn't seem to hold my attention as the earlier installments did. Hopefully the series isn't tiring out.
    Believable characters
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
    I really like the series
What three words best describe Jorjeana Maries voice?
    good variation of character voices.
    Any additional comments?
The narrator needs to work on her pronunciation of Medical terminology and Acronyms
    Better and Better
This series gets better and better. Each new book is filled comedy, drama and suspense. I can't wait for the next book.

    Best one yet
Best in the series so far. Just purchased the next one to listen to this afternoon. This one has some unexpected twists and turns, and is worth a couple of Kleenex in the second half. Only part of this is for sadness, and much is for happiness. Mrs P plays a larger role, as does The Elder. And there's introduction of a new familiar at the end. Great book.
Another good read in the series
I breezed through this book, I just fly through cozies! I loved the way things are developing in the village! I was again bored with the gratuitous recapping. Every book draws you more into the Enchanted Village and entrenches the denizens more into your heart.
This book gives more backstory for Starla and her love life. We have the mystery with her Ex and complications with her new relationship. There are so many things at play here. It wasn't was intriguing as the last book but it was an entertaining read.
This book as very much about relationships, Nick and Darcy, Glinda and Nick/Mimi, Starla and Kyle, Starla and Vincent, Ve and her latest flavor. Lots of side plots going on beside the main murder plot. A few things were obvious, however others managed to surprise.
The audiobook narrated by Coleen Marlo is well done. I think my ears are now used to her after devouring three books straight. I am settled into her vocal quirks, they seem less now, maybe she has been working on them. I do enjoy her pace and energy in the story. She moves swiftly with the story and makes for a more engaging read.
This book moves things along in the Enchanted Village. I am super curious who the Elder really is, will we ever know? I will have to jump right into the latest book in the series!!
    Disjointed
This one was charming but seemed a bit disjointed. Good subject matter, death, betrayal, abuse, etc. But the story didn't flow like the earlier books in the series.
    Loved it!
I can't get enough of this series. The characters, emotions, situations and happiness are too much to take at times, but I will continue! On to the next story in the series!
    Gets Better and Better !!!
What did you love best about The Goodbye Witch?
    Story Line
Which character as performed by Coleen Marlo was your favorite?
Like the way the stories build on one another in
    each book.

will start the next one as soon as I type this ...
Loved it, can't wait for the next one. Heather Gudenkauf is one of my favorite authors. This is the 4th book I have listened to by her. Five stars for them all!!!
    Introducing a compelling new heroine!
Would you consider the audio edition of Little Lies to be better than the print version?
Mostly. Kate Rudd is a good narrator, although some of her diction is a little flat. I can't describe it, but it drives me nuts... but thankfully it's rare, and the rest of her performance is wonderful
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I normally don't like novellas; I honestly think it could have been flushed out a bit better. But Ellen is a compelling character - a devoted mother, a bit obsessive, a social worker who is neither hardened to her work nor beaten down by it.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I was surprised by the identity of the killer - I guess that's the mark of a good mystery.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Well, clocking in at 2 hours - 15 minutes of which was a preview of "Little Mercies" - it's not hard to do. It was a good read.
    Any additional comments?
I normally don't like novellas. For some reason they just seem short and lacking in some way. If this book stood on its own, it's OK, I guess, but it's a great introduction to Ellen, a main character in Gudenkauf's full-length "Little Mercies". Hopefully Little Mercies refers back to this book in some way...
    not a lot of story
too short to catch the listener. not the usual work of ms gudenkauf. I will keep her as a favorite author though.

Great first book in a new series
Couldn't put it down. Interesting characters and complex plot. Great first entry. Hope the next will live up to this one. Narrator does a fine job as well
    Wanted to love this
Is there anything you would change about this book?
What's not to love about knitting and the seashore? Well the plot drug out the story and never really engaged the listener. I think the author should have introduced the murder victim in more detail so we care more about her murder. I cared more about the Cashmere sweater than the victim.
What does Julie McKay bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Julie did a fine job of reading an unremarkable story.
Do you think Death by Cashmere needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I will probably not bother to read additional books in the series.
    Any additional comments?
This series reminds me of Harlequin Romances (without the steamy parts). They are easy to listen too, predictable, and do not task your brain. If that's what you are looking for then you will probably enjoy Murder by Cashmere. If you want interesting characters and a riveting plot, look elsewhere.
    Good storyline kept me listening.
What did you love best about Death by Cashmere?
The beautiful visual description and details given to the scenes and characters garments allowed me to picture everything in a colorful way.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
This was not a thriller but it did keep my attention, not on edge.
What about Julie McKays performance did you like?
Julie McKay was great, her voice made it easy to follow each characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This book was easy to stop and pick back up which I like.
    Any additional comments?
I purchased the series because I enjoyed the girlie sleuth storyline.
    Good Story
This was a pretty good story. Looking forward to hearing the next book.
