    Audio edition, narrator Matt Baca.
    7 hours 47 minutes
    Overall: 3
    Performance: 4
    Story: 2
Sadly I didn't like this as much as the first one. It started out good, but the last 20% was not so good. It kinda ruined my impression of the book.
Narrator Matt Baca does a good job with this one too. I did hear one mistake, though. When Jesse looks at the old letters from Aaron early in the book, Baca says "Anthony's letters" instead of "Aaron's letter". Anthony is the main character from #1.
    Good series.
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I like this one better than the first, though I did enjoyed that one too. It had a nice build up with the past relationship. And no meet-cute (I say this as a good thing) though I guess it would be a remeet cute. Good low level angst.
    Which scene was your favorite?
The Jesse's parents party where Aaron finally starts seeing things clearly. I also like that the characters from the other books are carrying on their lives in a "realistic" fashion. Things are changing for them even when they "off-screen" and their actions aren't necessarily effecting the main characters of the current book.
    Any additional comments?
I liked both Jesse and Aaron (though at times I wanted to slap Aaron upside the head). They were sweet together. It's a nice romance with some family drama and angst. I did like that no everything was wrapped up in a perfect bow. BUT I do wish there had been a bit more resolution with Aaron's family at least. Aaron's mom put the s on mother. But she was sweet with him but then was SUCH a witch to Jesse, who'd already had enough parent issues. I would have like to see her eventually welcoming and apologizing to Jesse and seeing what jerks her "friends" were. But it's very nice read.
Sweet story, a little better than the average
I like the fact that you accually feel like the MC are real peope with real problems. I especially liked the fact that the entire background story isnt told right upfront and as the story unfolds, you begin to get a better feel for the MC.
Other than that it is also an ever-after lovestory.
Worth a listen but not in my top ten
    Narrator fine.
    Overrated
The publishers summary is misleading, making the book sound far more exciting than it is. This is not a book about risking anything.

    Publisher's Summary:
Anthony Carrino loves his big, gregarious Italian-American family, even if his sisters are interfering, and his dad, the local sheriff, knows everything going on in town. He's happy as a middle school guidance counselor. Despite helping kids and their parents fix their problems, Anthony can't manage to get his own love life right. If only everyone would stop calling him the "nice" guy.
Dean Pierce doesn't do relationships. A tough-minded military man, he is dedicated to his job as a Night Stalker, flying Chinook helicopters and not speaking much to anybody. He certainly doesn't want to deal with a mess of emotions. But when tragedy strikes, Dean finds his hands full with his troubled niece, her irresistible guidance counselor, and a meddlesome family, which includes a rather large puppy.

    Sweet comfort read
This is a great comfort read. Dean is a Special Forces soldier who is forced to take a hardship discharge in order to take care of his niece when his sister unexpectedly dies. He travels to the small town of Glamour, AZ and meets Anthony, the local guidance counselor. One of the best things about this book is Anthonys family; a big Italian family that loves and supports each other fiercely. It is always great to see that in an mm romance. Dean on the other hand has past demons he is trying to conquer. He was not out in the army and has a hard time adjusting to civilian life and his feelings for Anthony; he doesnt think he is worthy of someone as beautiful and good as Anthony. The narrator does an amazing job. He has great voices and really brings emotions to the characters. There is a little angst and not a lot of drams. Overall, worth a credit.
Ugly Cover But a GREAT BOOK!
I didn't quite understand the name. That is why I passed it up several times. Now I get it Glamour is the name of a town not a prissy beauty school. This was actually well written a story about a man in the military who has to leave to care for his niece and the guidance counsellor who takes her in. The narration was great especially the sibling bickering. I downloaded the next edition @audible and plan on reading the last book since it's not offered as an audiobook. I hope you give this more a modern cover. The teacher in his hot glasses and the giant pilot gazing at each other. Just saying.
    Good story!
    Any additional comments?
Matt Baca has the most sweetest voice ever! He sounds so d@mn adorable, which would fit for a novel about a teenager. For this story, his voice just did not match the main characters and I could not listen to the erotic scenes at all. LOL.
Now, the story was decent and I was entertained, plus Matt Baca is a fabulous performer. But for this story, it sounded like a teenager playing grown-up.
    Anyway, good story.
    Wonderful series expertly narrated
Dean gets called from active duty in Afghanistan to return to Arizona when his sister is killed to take charge of his 13 year-old niece.

    Fantastic book
What made the experience of listening to The Bridge: Trolls the most enjoyable?
Hollie Jackson is one of the best narrators going combine her with Erik Schubachs story telling and you have a winner.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Bridge: Trolls?
It's all about the "Cow Tipping"
What does Hollie Jackson bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
I have read the book and the narration adds a new and exciting layer to the story.
Who was the most memorable character of The Bridge: Trolls and why?
Kane, but Rupert is a close second. Because they rock.
    Worth every penny..
Erik's done it again, I can't recommend his books highly enough, if The Bridge: Trolls interested you I strongly recommend Drakon. If Scifi is more your thing Return of the Asgard will definitely be for you, I'm personally a huge fan of the Music of the Soul contemporary romance series and I can't wait to see more of Eriks books available in audio, spend a credit you won't regret it.
Another great book from Erik Schubach.
This book was great. And it was a fun read since I'm from Cincinnati, I found myself looking for Trolls and fays while out and about in the city.
    Surprised
This is not the first time I have said that a book written by Schubach I can say I truly like. This book took me by surprise and I love it when a book does that. Happy to say Schubach and Jackson has done it again.
    Such a cool concept!
Mr Schubach has a very particular style and many of his characters can be a little too similar at times but I absolutely adore them all the same. This is a pleasant change from the Music of the Soul series and different from the Fairytale series and I love the concept and characters. I think I'm pretty much in love with Hollie Jackson. She has a great voice and she always nails the characters. I can (and have) listen to her voice all day. All in all I smiled alot and that's what I hope for when I pick up one of Erik Schubachs books.

The character you loved to hate in Chaser becomes the character you will simply love in Raining Men.

When Bobby's father passes away, Bobby finally examines his rocky relationship with the man and how it might have contributed to his inability to find the love he yearns for. Guided by a sexy therapist, a Sex Addicts Anonymous group, a well-endowed Chihuahua named Johnny Wadd, and Bobby's own cache of memories, Bobby takes a spiritual, sexual, and emotional journey to discover that life's most satisfactory love connections lie in quality, not quantity. And when he's ready to love not only himself but someone else, sex and love fit, at last, into one perfect package.

    Man Whore seeking redemption!
Okay this book was a little long. After awhile I was wishing for better luck for a man who made so many bad choices in just sucking of random strangers in restaurants and letting everyone watch him have sex with multiple partners in bathhouses. Finally he gets the help he needs and even though he realize he's a sex addict he still wants random hookups. The end he finds his truce and a new romance that's normal. Then the book ends. We still don't know if he's hiv free with all the hooking up we were submitted to. Maybe their will be a third book to explain his new life. Worth a credit or Amazon book to audio purchase.
    A Hot Sequel
Would you listen to Raining Men again? Why?
In a heartbeat. Some sequels can be a little disappointing, but this is not the case with 'Raining Men', especially when you have such brilliant narration by John Solo.
What other book might you compare Raining Men to, and why?
Chaser by the same author and narrator.
Which character as performed by John Solo was your favourite?
The main character, Bobby. In 'Chaser' I absolutely detested Bobby who was so narcissistic and didn't care about anyone but himself, but in this sequel I grew to love him.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were a quite a few, that's how good I thought this book was!
    Any additional comments?
I was somewhat apprehensive about listening to 'Raining Men' as I didn't think it possible that this could be as good as 'Chaser'. How wrong could I be!.

    Vintage Lanyon
    Any additional comments?
A nice tight little mystery about a 50-year old Hollywood cold case. In addition to delighting in some very colorful secondary characters, I loved both main characters. Especially Tim, a writer whose perception of his own limitations almost hold him back from a meaningful connection with his policeman neighbor Jack. This would have been all the better had it been a full-length novel. It certainly had the foundation for "more". Lanyon's wonderful shorts always end too soon. The fabulous Sean Crisden narrated. Highly recommended.
Absolute fabulous audio to listen to while working
What made the experience of listening to Cards on the Table the most enjoyable?
The relationship between Tim and Jack. I love how Mr. Lanyon is able to bring two characters together, create just enough angst to keep your heart in 'worried mode' and then reward you with a heart stopping breather.
It is now a fact that I am completely and utterly in love with Mr. Lanyon, well...I mean the characters he creates anyway. I think I have most of his books now and have been consistently reading his stories the last couple weeks and have yet to be disappointed.
Oh, and when you have a great narrator, I suppose that makes for an extremely enjoyable listening experience.
Which character as performed by Sean Crisden was your favorite?
Tim was my favorite character because of his condition, and how he was able to handled it. I'd be living in fear everyday but he just lived his life as though he was invincible.
If you could rename Cards on the Table, what would you call it?
    Mystery of The Tarot Card
The Lady and the Tarot Card
Murder by Tarot Card. <----- My moms favorite :-)
Who killed Eva Aldrich? <----- My favorite
LOL. I can come up with many different titles for this. The original title is good though.
    Any additional comments?
A wonderful mystery romance, with a great performance. Definitely a recommended read or audio from me to you!
    Another hit by Lanyon!!!
I am beginning to think that Josh Lanyon can do no wrong. I'm not kidding. I love EVERYTHING he writes. How the hell is that possible? While I ponder that one, I will continue with my review.
We meet Tim, who's an author writing about a Hollywood star's 50 year old murder mystery. It's clear that someone, somewhere, isn't too keen on Tim completing his story. But while we're engrossed in the mystery of who killed the starlet, and the more recent mystery of who wants to shut Tim up, we're also trying to figure out what issue plagues Tim. It's clear that there's chemistry between Det. Jack and Tim, so why aren't they getting their 'love' on.
Well, I won't spoil it for you, but I do have to say that once we're told, it made me question how I would have reacted to being faced with such a situation. Both Tim and Jack were likable characters, and I have a thing with all of Lanyon's 'flawed' characters (ie.

    Members Reviews:
Little bit sweet, Little bit moody romance.
What did you love best about Snowbound in Nowhere?
The connection between Chris and Horace.
What other book might you compare Snowbound in Nowhere to and why?
Stardust by the same Author. Characters are quite similar.
What does K.C. Kelly bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
    His laid back, smooth voice.
If you could take any character from Snowbound in Nowhere out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Chris, so I could slap the stupid out of him.
    Any additional comments?
Stranded in a blizzard at his best friends cabin, Chris is settling in for another lonely Christmas. That is until a neighbor stops by to make sure Chris is okay and gets stuck when his snowmobile wont crank. Alone by the fire, bundled up to keep warm, one thing leads to another and before long, Chris and Horace no longer need the fire to keep warm. While Chris tries to tell himself he shouldnt get involved, its hard when Horace has made up his mind that Chris is what he wants. Chris is determined to go home at the end of his supposed two week stay. But what, exactly, is he going home to?
I really like the easy, laid back, husky tone of Kellys voice. It was the perfect melody to tell this story, especially for the character of Horace with his Minnesota accent, which Kelly conveyed quite well. This was a short sort of sweet, sort of moody story, a bit of a May/December romance with Chris being several years Horaces senior. There was some steam of course, and not just from the hearth. I think I knew Horace was a goner when they decorated the tree, but Grey keeps you hanging until the very end to know whether or not Chris wants to stay stranded in nowhere with his gentle giant.
Love the narrator, not so much the story
Chris is stranded in a blizzard. Hes been burned by love and is reluctant to get involved in a relationship anymore, but hes lonely. While stranded, Horace the neighbor helps him survive. Within a couple hours the brusque Horace and the worldly Chris have gone to bed but it freaks Horace out and he flees.
Chris is a little heartbroken, but really, what did he expect from someone he knows next to nothing about? Fortunately(?), Horace returns and the two resume the relationship (if it can be called that) despite Chris misgivings. First: Horace is only 21 but acts like hes 14 at times. Hes been very sheltered and taught that gay loving is wrong (and so is masturbation, apparently). Two: They live in complete opposite parts of the country, and though I honestly couldnt tell you what Chris does for a living, Chris isnt inclined to live where its cold. Three: Chris is worried he might get his heart broken by a man who may be only picking him because hes the only one around/has ever met.
After spending nearly two weeks together, the two are in love but Chris is still conflicted.

    Original e-book review December 2013
Short, Sexy and Steamy wrapped up in a pretty red bow! My three favorite colors, oh how Ive missed you!!
Larry Kincaid inherited the responsibilities of being a father to his young nephew, Angus, when his sister passed away. Every day is about going through the motions with Larry thinking of what is best for Angus. All that changes when he takes Angus to a local shop to get a tux for their annual Christmas party. Angus is immediately enamoured with the shop worker, Joshua Langdon, as is uncle Larry.
Circumstance leads Larry to invite Josh to the Christmas party, and the two share a very heated, very passionate night for an after party. But when Josh leaves in the night without so much as a word or a note, Larry is hurt. A past relationship that went bad left a sour taste in Larrys mouth and he jumps to conclusions about why Josh left, then refuses to hear his explanation. As fate would have it the two meet again by chance, shopping for Christmas trees. Can Larry let go of the past, be a father to Angus and have a relationship with Josh?
Trademark Andrew Grey with the perfect plot and precise character development. The flow from start to finish was steady and graceful. Larry is a lion when it comes to his role as a father figure and his business, but when it becomes more personal with Josh, he acts like an unsteady kitten. Until Josh calls him out on it, and then its on! What he has to do is find a balance between being Anguss father and Joshs lover. This book seriously made me laugh, cry and swoon.
If youre looking for a fun Holiday read that is equal parts sexy and sweet, then this is the book for you.
    Updated Audio review December 2014
I do love when a narrator can take a story Ive already read and enjoyed and add just that little something more to it. There were actually little things in the story that I either missed or just didnt quite catch when I read it, or perhaps Kellys rendition of the written word just brought something new to it. Larry lost his sister and became the sole guardian to his young nephew and he constantly worries that he cant give little Angus what he needs. Josh sees the man that Larry truly is. A fiercely loyal, strong single father, and the perfect partner for him.
Through Christmas parties, fancy suits and decorating trees these two men fall in love and show a promise of becoming a family.

Terrell Washington's childhood was a trifecta of suck: being black, gay, and poor in America has no upside. Terrell climbed his way out of the hood only to hit a glass ceiling and stop, frozen, a chain restaurant bartender with a journalism degree. His one bright spot is Colby Meyers, a coworker who has no fear, no inhibitions, and sees no boundaries. Terrell and Colby spend their summers at the river and their breaks on the back dock of Papiano's. As terrified as Terrell is of coming out, he's helpless to stay away from Colby's magnetic smile and contagious laughter.
But Colby is out of college now, and he has grand plans for the future - plans Terrell is sure will leave his scrawny black ass in the Sacramento dust until a breathless moment stolen from the chaos of the restaurant tells Terrell he might be wrong. When the moment is shattered by a mystery and an act of violence, Terrell and Colby are left with two puzzles: who killed their scumbag manager, and how to fit their own lives - the black and the white of them - into a single shining tomorrow.

I am so happy with myself for giving this story a try. Talk about an interracial bromance
    Colby Terrell
I loved that Colby was the younger man but seemed to have more experience sexually, more comfortable in his own skin, and seemed a bit more wiser than Terrell because it made Terrell somewhat endearing.
"Kids get blowjobs behind bars T. Men look their lovers in the eye."
I won't lie, Terrell did bother me a bit with his woe-as-me attitude but the fact that he took the time to understand and reflect on both sides of the issue of racism made me appreciate at him and his line of thinking.
Colby is AMAZING! I loved everything about him. His patience, his heart, his love for Terrell. He's the type of guy that's one in a million!
"Let's go have our self a domestic partnership day." Colby, Colby, Colby
    Special moments:
**The first time Terrell and Colby made love
**Colby playing Motown music for Terrell
There are many more special moments but those two were the ones that really squeezed my heart.
This is a journey through a love story between two men who are different in almost every way. Add in a crime mystery, humor, likeable and unlikeable supporting characters, with a fantastic narration, you have a making for a superb story.

    Members Reviews:
    It's A Dance
They seem to spend a lot of time dancing around each other but as they connect they bring special things out in each other. Al gets more dominate and Frankie settles into the care. Both men are also able to give to each other.
    Surprisingly good!
Frankie is a hot mess. He gets dumped by his boyfriend via text, gets so drunk he needs the help of a stranger to make it into his hotel room to puke, gets run into by a cab and then ends up at a retreat for team-building with the guy who rescues him each and every time.
Al is fascinated with Frankie from the start and somehow ends up at the sight of each disaster in time to lend a hand.
The two find themselves in a relationship with very little fan-fare and after spending the weekend of the retreat together find a HEA.
    **
This was a short, sweet story filled with British slang and quirks. The romance moved fairly quickly, but, in a way, the speed seemed to make sense. Al was in a really sensitive position, his mother is dying, and Frankie is on the re-bound. Al is a care-giver and Frankie needs a lot of care. The two needed each other.
I wished we could have seen more of their relationship unfold as the ending was pretty quick, but it left you feeling like things could really work out.
    Audio:
I am shocked to say that I actually really liked Max Lehnen here. The audio really does the book justice. Max does a great job with the British accents and that really adds to the overall UK flavor and made for a really enjoyable read.
Since the author is British, the characters all British and it occurs in the UK, I would have liked for Maxs accent to continue throughout the story, not just the dialog. It kind of brought me out of the story to hear the British sayings in a flat American accent when the dialog was accented.
I really enjoyed the story and give it a 4 of 5 stars, the audio a 4 of 5 stars for an overall of 4 of 5 stars
    Overall Impression:
4 stars I really liked it
    boring story, bad narrator
    Any additional comments?
This is one of those stories that kind of slips away from you as soon as you are done with it.
Felt like it was just events that kept happening with Frankie with other characters thrown in instead of a flowing story. Story felt unfinished.
Love the story, hate the narrator
God, it's terrible, listening to the fake accent, give us some English narrators for goodness sake, there's loads of ex pat in the US. Like the narrator normally, but couldn't finish the story that I love to read, would have returned it but this damn thing won't let me despite the claims otherwise.
