    Publisher's Summary:
Could a major scandal cause the United States to terminate its support for Israel? The Masada Complex, a contemporary thriller set in Arizona, Washington, and Israel, gives us a chilling portrayal of exactly such a scenario. The novel's unforgettable hero is Masada El-Tal, a beautiful Israeli expatriate who grew up on a kibbutz by the Dead Sea and served in an IDF elite unit. But her charmed life was struck by disaster after 25 years. She left Israel for Arizona and has built a new life, earning a reputation as a prizewinning investigative reporter. But her latest story causes the suicide of a US senator, and an unprecedented wave of anti-Semitic violence sweeps across America.
While an angry Congress prepares to enact legislation to suspend all military aid to Israel, a mysterious organization attempts to assassinate Masada in order to stop her relentless investigation. As the clock ticks, her friends turn out to be enemies, and those she has maligned come to her aid. And the truth Masada uncovers exceeds her worst nightmares. Like the Jewish homeland she has left, Masada must overcome her moral dilemmas in order to defeat her mortal foes and save her people from destruction.
    Critic Reviews:
"A first-rate thriller with exciting plot twists and engaging characters." (David Liss, author of The Whiskey Rebels and Conspiracy of Paper)
"As good as DeMille and Follett! The Masada Complex delivers fast pace, brilliant plot, unforgettable characters, and a mesmerizing premise. Terrific!" (Stephen J. Wall, author of The Morning After and The New Strategists)

    Terrible!
Cardboard characters, awful writing, stupid plot. Please save your time and money. Don't read this book
    Revenge often carries extreme cost
What did you like best about The Masada Complex? What did you like least?
I liked having an interesting, complex female character, that was driven with goals but at the same time she showed a side that not only neede help, and recognized that she needed to be wise in her choices
Would you recommend The Masada Complex to your friends? Why or why not?
I liked most all of the book... Wouldn't everyone make minor changes in any book they read?
Did Steven Cooper do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes, at least I thought so.... Differences in human nature
Could you see The Masada Complex being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
    Wow
The lab girl from NCIS - Masada
    Professor - Harrison Ford
    Any additional comments?
    No
    Loved the story
I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this book. The characters made you love them or hate them. The only thing I did not like was the very few times a scene went too long and I found myself getting irritated and thinking "ugh just get on with it". However, overall I really enjoyed the duplicity.
    Far too emotional
Only Rabbi Josh had faith and hope.the other two main characters were too full of hate and had not moved on.very depressing book.well written though but I personally did not like the story at all.good scenic descriptions of Israel.fantastice narration.
    Unlikely in the extreme
From beginning to end this is the most unbelievable piece of rubbish I have ever read. As you keep, reading you will think it must improve; alas it doesn't.

Liam was smoking dope on his London balcony when he fell. Now for the first time since he cut all ties years ago, Bettany returns home to London to find out the truth about his son's death. Loved the book, hated the ending
Narrator was great, I think he really made the words come alive.
There is something really enjoyable about Mick Heron's writing style. I'm not sure if it is the story, the slow build, the slightly off-beat characterization, or something else...but I seem to be pulled into the story eventually, every time.
I was somewhat disappointed when this. One came to an end. I suppose I knew it had to happen, but I was no less surprised when it did happen.
Perhaps a sequel? Hollywood can do it, why not you? Hehehe
    Sad tale
I'm a fan of Mick Herron. When I buy one of his books I always know I'm going to get excellent writing and thoroughly developed characters and plot. I do recommend this book, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as some of his others. I think the main reason for this is that I found the book quite sad with an ending that left me hanging... it's well done, but I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it except to say that it's worth a listen.
    The narration is wonderful.
    Disappointing ending
What would have made Nobody Walks better?
The story dragged from the beginning. Then when it started to have promise it got lost in too many plots. It just plodded along. The protagonist was not fully described and when smart enough to understand what was happening to him from the start, just like us (read as the plot was not very clever), the ending just failed. This book came to a really poor and predictable end.
Has Nobody Walks turned you off from other books in this genre?
    NO
What didnt you like about Gerard Doyles performance?
    Almost monotone.
What character would you cut from Nobody Walks?
    Flea

    Publisher's Summary:
The long-awaited reissue of the first part of the classic spy trilogy Hook, Line and Sinker, when the Berlin Wall divided not just a city but a world.
Working for the Department was like marriage is supposed to be--"'til death do us part"--but the Department is really not like that, and neither are many marriages, including that of Bernard Samson. The cool and cynical field agent of the Game, Set and Match trilogy has grown older and wiser. But things have not gone well for Samson: old pals are not as friendly as they used to be, and colleagues are less confiding than they once were.
Now, starting with his mission to Washington, life has become even more precarious for Bernard. Ignoring all warnings, friendly, devious, and otherwise, he pursues his own investigation and, in California, meets with the biggest surprise of his life.
    Critic Reviews:
"Superb.... The secret of Spy Hook is its readability...Deighton is the inspiration for Le Carre and Forsyth and a master of his craft." (Today)
"In Deighton's best books--like this one--the narrative glides forward on rollers, and the scenes and characters fit perfectly into place. The result is marvellous entertainment." (Independent)
"Vintage, treble-crossing, East-West intrigue...written with Deighton's usual punch and economy." (Daily Mail)
"The narrative glides forward on rollers, and the scenes and characters fit perfectly into place. The result is a marvellous entertainment." (Independent)
"Mr. Deighton's touch is unfailing...never a false note." (New York Times Book Review)

God story at times too drawn out
Enjoying the start of the series however am again displeased to see another series with a book from it not available on Audible. Seriously a pain. I understand about publishing rights just don't understand why all 1 book in a series is always not available.
    Very good
    Reader is amazing
Story is great but not as good as game set match trilogy...yes.
Eagerly awaiting the next book - release more faster please!
What did I just listen to?
Seriously, was it about facing mid-life as a spy, having a friend who is renovating a hotel? Losing a wife? Wtf? It was in three thousand places that made no sense.
The master of the spy story
    Any additional comments?
My comments on Berlin Game apply to the whole series. If you like spy stories you will not be disappointed.
    Orange File
Scenario 1: The airplane picks up speed on the runway but doesn't take off. Scenario 2: The airplane is standing still on the runway. Three-quarters of the way through Spy Hook, I'm thinking about either of the two above situations. Then things liven up. The funny thing is, bearing in mind what I consider to be the slow pace of the novel up to that point, I had to go back and re-read chunks of the last part of the book to fully understand it. The best espionage and crime novels get you thinking over the plot in this way. Does the ending provide all the answers or does it leave you asking for more ? The clue is that Spy Hook is the first instalment of the Hook, Line and Sinker trilogy. Don't let this put you off. Another requirement of the best books of this genre, is working out who are the good and bad guys; this is an aspect of this book. Despite my earlier comments, I highly recommend Spy Hook.

    Outstanding. ANOTHER M WORD
    Any additional comments?
I would like to start this review by saying that: in my opinion Remote Control by A Mcnab (his first in the Stone series) was a masterpiece (see my review) and I would never come across anything better. I was wrong.
Some of the real book worms out there might call me mad for using the M word twice to describe an Andy Mcnab novel. Additionally, and on the contrary, I really couldn't care less.
This book was so shocking, so captivating and constantly gripping, so "keep you on the edge of your seat" ..ing I would be happy to stand up in front of a hundred avid book critics and tell them that for me; it was nothing short of a MASTERPIECE in military/action/adventure sod it any type of book GENRE storytelling.
I usually mention where Stone will have headed around the globe in the book in my reviews, but in this instance I'm saying nothing. You simply have to read this book. Mcnab is the best and here he proves it once again.
This book will have you laughing, crying, catching the air in the back of your throating' more than once. you will be taken on a Nick Stone roller coaster.. the scariest and most intense roller coaster in the reading world. 10/10.
    ......It's just a masterpiece!
    brilliant
loved it as always it's hard to put down you get so enthralled. edge of your seat stuff
    awesome
awesome as usual. Andy McNabb never fails to deliver a tense and gripping book. second time round and loving them even more!!
    andy does it again
this is book is slow to start but once you get passed the first couple of chapters it is a rollercoaster ride great listen
    enjoyable.
OK, this was not my favourite Andy McNab but it was still very good and well worth the purchase

    very entertaining
Good plot, a few twists and turns I didn't expect. Held my interest, I enjoyed it as an audio book.
    Pretty good
As I love the spy genre, I'm always happy to find authors who explore it. I can't say I love the 2 Charles Cumming books I've read, but I am happy they were there and I'll read more. Thinking about A Colder War, there's something missing and I'm not sure what it is, but overall, I wanted to keep listening and some sections were exciting. The characters seem somewhat believable and the less-than-heroic lead character is no more annoying than many others.
Cummins has got it right -
Cummins skill as a writer improves with each book. Excellent twisting and turning plot with an terrific sense of pace and for detail.
    Highly recommended.
    Loved it
What made the experience of listening to A Colder War the most enjoyable?
I really enjoyed the writing in the book and the suspense. It was hard to turn it off.
Have you listened to any of Jot Daviess other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to any of his other performances, but I really enjoyed this one.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed and cried, which, to me, makes for a good read.
    Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the writing, story telling, and suspense so much that I am currently in search of yet another Charles Cumming book.
    Plot good narration not great.
Where does A Colder War rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
    Middle of the road.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Very good plot from about one third of the way in.
How could the performance have been better?
Different reader with a bit more punch. Think the narrator of a cuckoos calling etc.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    No too long.
    Any additional comments?
Very true to real life spy life. Leaves the jack reachers of this world in the shade.

You have GOT to hear this book!
Here is a great action/adventure novel with lots of surprises, believable characters, guns and ammo, helicopter/car chase, madness and mayhem. Move over Indiana Jones! Hoping for the next book soon!
Audio performer is my new favorite. Superior voice quality, terrific character delineation, emotional variants well portrayed. This artist is no ham-bone, but very well suited to a fast-paced novel like this.
    A classic conspiracy theory story
What did you like best about The Protocol? What did you like least?
Historical background is reat, performance is strong and the overall story is compelling. There was just some tweaks that I found irksome. If I could give it 3.5 I would have.
The story got off the rails occasionally, but overall not bad at all.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
More background on the key theory.
Which character as performed by R. C. Bray was your favorite?
Nothing stood out, but all were good.
Could you see The Protocol being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
    SyFy Network only
    Any additional comments?
This is a reasonably decent presentation. Nothing awful, but nothing that stood out as remarkable as well. This author will likely get better in this genre i suspect.
    Modestly recommended.

    Awesome book
Thrilling from the get go. Im a big Jack Reacher fan and now a James Acton one. Kennedy kept me on the edge of my seat.

    Publisher's Summary:
In the newest international thrill ride from New York Times best-selling author Ridley Pearson, John Knox, and Grace Chu, the incomparable and often incompatible duo team up again, this time in the exotic "city between two worlds": Istanbul.
What's it like to see yourself in a picture you never knew was taken?
John Knox is an expert at surveillance and delicate, international dealings. So he is understandably thrown when David "Sarge" Dulwich, his contact at Rutherford Risk, hands him a photo of a transaction he recently facilitated in the Middle East. More curious to him, he's shown that photo while in the Red Room, the private security company's highly secure underground bunker, where eavesdropping is impossible and privacy ensured. Why all the cloak-and-dagger?
Knox is pressured into accepting a job as an art broker in mysterious Istanbul, a city situated on two continents where East meets West and Islam meets Christianity. It is a melting pot of spies, terrorists, and conflicting interests.
Teamed with smart, quick, and fearless Grace Chu, Knox must navigate a murky operation, the only goal of which is to spend five minutes in the proximity of a man they've never met. Why? What can it possibly matter? And why are so many others bound and determined to see it never happens - at any cost?

    Dissapointed
Series going downhill. Plot is forced.
Complex plot - is Pearson trying to be Ludlum?
I really enjoy Ridley Pearson and I actually like the characters John Know and Grace Chu quite a bit. I was looking forward to the next risk agent novel and was suprized when I saw the mediocre reviews. Except for I found the plot to be Ludlumesque - ie so complicated that you had no idea where it was going, I did not think that Knox or Grace were lifeless. Quite the opposite for me - so I can't say it was my favorite of his books but I did enjoy it. Not sorry I bought it.
Not Ridley Pearson's best, this book has characters chasing a phantom all ...
Not Ridley Pearson's best, this book has characters chasing a phantom all over Istanbul in tried but true spy fiction fashion, only to emerge in a confusing lack of explanation for the real reasons behind their suffering. The characters so beautifully developed in other installments were unrecognizable and it felt as if someone else had tried to step into the author's shoes and write for him, but didn't quite make the grade.
    Four Stars
    A good read.
Like the charactors but the story needed to open up ...
Not enough variation. Like the charactors but the story needed to open up more.
