    Publisher's Summary:
Random House presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of Built for Speed by John McGuinness, read by Joe McGann.
'Then I was there myself, just another face in the crowd, watching the bikes fly by. The smells, the noise and the speed were all there for me to experience. It was like a massive injection in my head and it just blew my mind. I knew within seconds that I was going to be a TT racer. I didn't know how or what I was going to have to do to achieve this, and my dad wasn't going to be keen. Everyone around me was aware of the dangers, but from that moment I knew I had to do it.'
John McGuinness is one of the all-time giants of road racing, with a huge host of victories to his name. But his easy humour and down-to-earth attitude off the bike have always kept people guessing: what's the truth about the man inside the helmet that has kept him at the top of such a sport for over 20 years?
His autobiography tells the whole story, from his humble beginnings in Morecambe and getting his first bike at the age of three, to working as a bricklayer and cockle fisherman before deciding to follow his dream, and finally to his many victories in the most dangerous sporting event on the planet. He tells of what it takes to be a champion in such an exacting sport and to keep winning even though all logic tells you to stop - and when so many of your fellow racers are paying the ultimate price for doing it. This thrilling autobiography gets into the head of the man who stares death in the face and doesn't even flinch.

Title: The Secrets of My Life
    Author: Caitlyn Jenner
Narrator: Erin Bennett, Caitlyn Jenner - introduction
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 8 hrs and 30 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-27-17
    Publisher: Orion Publishing Group Limited
Ratings: 3.5 of 5 out of 15 votes
    Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Celebrities
    Publisher's Summary:
In this remarkable memoir - written with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Buzz Bissinger during her pivotal first years of rebirth - Caitlyn Jenner reflects on her past as she looks to her future. With poignancy and humour, Caitlyn writes about her confusion growing up, the temporary triumph of the Olympics as Bruce Jenner, and the noose of being endlessly described as the ultimate in manhood. She reveals her sense of shame and deceit she felt as she got older, as she went to great lengths to tell lies to conceal her true self. She also delves into her life in the public eye, her marriages and her troubled relationships with her children, what led to her decision to become Caitlyn, and how the transgender community and the world has embraced her new life. Written with a searing honesty, this audiobook shows you the real and true Caitlyn.
    Members Reviews:
    Horrible narrator!
If this book wasnt for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
I could not get past a few hours as the narrator is horrible. .
What didnt you like about Erin Bennett and Caitlyn Jenner - introduction s performance?
It sounds like a computer is reading the book.
    Any additional comments?
But from what I heard, the book is good and I fully plan to read it.
    A enjoyable listen
I really enjoyed this audio book. It's an honest full life story of Caitlyn and covers every stage of her life.
    Really enjoyed it
Really good story well told and presented. Would thoroughly recommend it and encourage people to read it.
Read this and learn about life long challenges
Would you listen to The Secrets of My Life again? Why?
Caitlyn reveals facts about her life that really no-one has the right to know. This is an amazing story, until you realise is is not a story, it is a revealing real life experience. I am sure re-reading will give an even better perspective of Caitlyn's life.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main character in this book is Caitlyn without ignoring Bruce. Everyone else are almost reduced to bit characters, even though some of Caitlyn's supporters are clearly extremely important people in her life
Which scene did you most enjoy?
The moment when Caitlyn (still Bruce at that point) was contacted by the gossip magazine, the editor's main purpose appeared to be to humiliate the subject of his article. What a terrible society we live in that gets pleasure from the suffering of others. It must have been so difficult for Caitlyn or anyone else in that position.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
You can both laugh and cry at this book. The torment of a younger Bruce eventually arrives at the release of the Woman inside, which takes you on an emotional journey from sadness to joy.
    Any additional comments?
Oscar Wilde was quoted as saying "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken" Caitlyn's journey shows that this is easier said than done, why? Unfortunately because of the pressures of society and human nature which doesn't like anything outside of the "norm". If this book helps one person to be more tolerant, accepting or understanding it has succeeded.

    Publisher's Summary:
This book is specifically written for both Pacman fans, boxing enthusiasts, and random individuals who wish to take a closer look at the life of the "People's Champion".
A sporting icon, Filipino's pride, and a man with countless abilities - that's how Manny Pacquiao is often described. In the realm of boxing he is known as "Pacman", but in the real world he is recognized as an idol of the mass - a man who had been a figure of hope, determination, and success. His story is simply one of a kind. Born from a middle-class family and struggled with poverty, had dreamed, faced countless obstacles (in ring and in real life), but surpassed each one with utmost courage, and eventually achieved success. He is the exact person to show the journey of a man from "rags to riches".
Manny Pacquiao undoubtedly deserves the recognition as world's best fighter and pound-for-pound king. Everyone is perhaps fully aware how he beat the boxing champion in several fights. A true champion, isn't he? But that's not where his virtuosity ends. Manny Pacquiao has been vigorously pursuing his attention and interest in diverse fields such as entertainment (acting and singing), politics, and other kind of sports.
All of his achievements speak for his tremendous success. However, what really caught the heart and interest of the crowd is the fact that he had been once a simple boy living a simple life but with great determination and hard work, and ready to actualize his dreams. "Pacman" has already reached the peak of success and currently serving his nation. But success is never without difficulties.

    Good listen
this is a good listen for anyone interested in what goes into extreme mountaineering like climbing everest. the book is mainly about how she prepared for the climb of everest and only briefly at the end actually describes the climb itself. that's the only thing i can criticize. you get so hyped up for her to finally summit mount everest, but then you only get a really quick summary of what she went through on the actual climb. i wish there would have been more detail about that particular part of her journey, as that is the main reason for the whole book.. the main thing she dedicated all of her young teen/adult life to.

    Publisher: Audible Studios
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 15 votes
    Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Celebrities
    Publisher's Summary:
Charlotte Stewart is known by millions of fans worldwide for her role as the beloved schoolteacher, Miss Beadle, on the iconic TV show, Little House on the Prairie, currently broadcast in syndication in more than 100 countries around the world. Here for the first time an adult cast member writes about the experience of making the show - the challenges, the joys, and the sometimes-turbulent behind-the-scenes relationships.
Charlotte, with Andy Demsky, reveals 50 years in film and television offering a backstage pass to Hollywood's cocaine-fueled 1960s, '70s and '80s, including Charlotte's celebrated work as Mary X in David Lynch's cult classic film, Eraserhead, as well as her later work as Betty Briggs in the highly-rated television series, Twin Peaks. Charlotte recounts stories of working with leading men from Jimmy Stewart and Elvis Presley to Kevin Bacon and Kyle MacLachlan. She details off-stage friendships with Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, as well as relationships and flings with some of TV, film, and music's biggest names, including Jon Voight, Richard Dreyfuss, Tim Considine, Bill Murray, Jim Morrison, and more.
Ultimately, Charlotte's story is that of a survivor. Six years after her career-making role on Little House on the Prairie, she lost everything. Yet through the darkest periods of her life - divorce, drug-use, cancer, financial ruin, the death of a spouse, and alcoholism - she never lost her humanity or sense of humor.
Charlotte's story is far from over. She is set to reprise her role of Betty Briggs in the new Twin Peaks series to be seen on Showtime in 2017. Throughout the year, she is a featured celebrity in fan events and festivals for Little House on the Prairie and Twin Peaks both in the US and abroad.
Co-author Andy Demsky is a writer and journalist, whose work has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times magazine and Better Homes & Gardens, and he co-wrote Doug Shafer's critically acclaimed memoir, A Vineyard in Napa.
