    WTF?
I am DNFing this series! I fell in love with Duncan and Turcotte only to have her (SPOILERS) die in the 7th book (even though she is suppose to be immortal! Then the last two books are fucking prequels. I am very DISAPPOINTED and ANGRY that all these characters went through amounted to shit!
    Not the best
Great performance. Story was lacking considerably. Hopefully the next book picks up and returns to good action.
    More of the same
While I have enjoyed this series overall. It is starting to loose steam. This particular novel basically filled n some back story but really didn't add anything new.
The performance was still pretty good but suffered from lack of drama or surprises in the story itself.
    Still a great story
What did you love best about Area 51: Nosferatu?
This is a vampire love story. This does not continue from "The Truth" put is a side story that continues to fill in more info concerning alien intervention through out history.
What other book might you compare Area 51: Nosferatu to and why?
this is far better than any of the vampire chick flicks on at the movies
What about Eric G. Doves performance did you like?
Easy to listen to, master of his art.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
This book is quit bloody and graphic concerning the habits of vampires, verges on too much blood and gore but the history aspect is fascinating.
    Any additional comments?
I can listen to this story again, it is a complete story with villains, victims and allot of nasties in the area 51 world. Even though a side line adds to the area 51 story. This is a very clever story, I enjoyed it.
meh. no turcotte & no real "mystery suspense"
the book is fine and probably deserves a better rating if on it's own, but i was looking to continue the adventures of mike T and he's not even in it. seems like more of a side book rather than part of the series.

The never-before-told story behind the legend of Count Dracula!
The story of the Counts greatest love, Mina Harker, and the bloodthirsty vampire hunters whose cruel pursuit drove the master of the night to actions ever more ruthless. The Count Dracula sets the record straight.
    Members Reviews:
    FINALLY!
Would you listen to The Dracula Tape again? Why?
Yes. I have waited a long time for this recording. As this book series is usually told by Dracula dictating his adventures into a tape recorder, audio books are the perfect format for this book series. Also hearing Robin Bloodworth as Dracula, telling his own side of the events of Dracula, is just fun. This entire book series is great, it's highly under-rated. This is my absolute favorite Vampire book series though it is a shame it seems to have fallen into obscurity... until now.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dracula, naturally. Though he is still vicious, predatory and often obviously lying he manages to become a likable narrator.
What about Robin Bloodworths performance did you like?
He did an excellent job, adding the right inflection to the character.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved the whole thing though I did have a few favorite moments. I particularly love the interaction between Dracula and Mina and of course his somewhat flimsy explanations about The Demeter and Lucy. There are parts, that from the delivery alone, nearly had me laughing.
    Any additional comments?
I frekain' love the Fred Saberhagen Dracula books. I do hope Audibles remember that there are more than just three of these books in the series.
    The Dracula Tape
    The Holmes Dracula File
An old friend of the family
    Thorn
    Dominion
    A Matter of Taste
    A question of Time
    Seance for a vampire
    A Sharpness on the neck
    A coldness in the blood.
And of course there are the short stories From The Tree of Time and Box number 50. Box number 50 (my absolute favorite short story) can be found in the book Dracula in London by P. N. Elrod and From the Tree of time can be found in Gaslight Arcanum.
An Old Friend of the Family and Thorn can also be found in an omnibus called The Vlad Tapes.
    Bravo!
I will confess that I first read this book when it was new in 1975, as a teenager. I was delighted to find it here, along with rest of the series, and also afraid that my long-ago impressions would be tainted by my childhood memories. I am delighted to say its as good now, better even, than I remembered.
This was my first Dracula story and remains my favorite to this day. Dracula asks us to consider the Stoker story from his point of view, complete with rambling reminisces, dark humor, his profound disdain of his nemesis, Abraham VanHelsing, and some unlikely and humorous situations he finds himself in while acclimating to the "modern" mid-19th century world (such as passing himself off as a "portable closet" salesman when one of his crates of earth is discovered).
Bloodworth's portrayal is nothing short of amazing, whether as Dracula in present time, in the past with his Transylvania accent, Renfield or VanHelsing, you cannot help but be drawn in to the story. If I didn't know better, I'd say he was the Prince of Darkness himself.
The Counts Side of The Story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes.It is excellent as an audio book.

Luckily, the man is actually the master vampire Louis-Cesare, so he's not an easy kill. But when Louis-Cesare rescues her, she has no memory of what happened to her. To find out what was done to her - and who is behind it - Dory will have to face off with fallen angels, the maddest of mad scientists, and a new breed of vampires that are far worse than undead.

The word for Fury's Kiss is....awesome
What did you love best about Fury's Kiss?
I loved the non-stop action and character development. No one plots action as well as Karen Chance.
What other book might you compare Fury's Kiss to and why?
I would compare this to the other Midnight's Daughter books and the Cassie Palmer series.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the scene when Ray and Dory go shopping for "supplies" for the fae. Laugh out loud funny.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think it has to be the final scene between Louis-Cesar and Dory.
    Any additional comments?
It has taken me a while to get used to Joyce Bean's narration of this series, particularly the voice of Mircea, as well as other male voices. The exception is the voice of Ray, which I think she gets just right.
Wish they used a different Narrator.
I like Joyce Bean, but I don't think she is the right narrator for this book. This is the first book is this series that I have purchased on audio. Read the other 2. So distracting for me, that I couldn't finish the book.
    A bit confusing!!!
I like this author I like her Cassie series as well as this one. The narrator is ok although i'm often distracted when she talks so long she runs out of breath. The book is good but confusing at times it jumps around with out notice and sometimes you have to rewind because you think you have missed something. She may have noticed this because at the end she took a while to explain exactly what happened then your like ohhhhh ok I get it. So again the book is good you just have to pay close attention and maybe rewind a few times to try to keep up.
A little conveluted at times but good
I liked this a lot but I had to back up and go over a couple parts as she jumped from one reality to the next. It was ok once you got the thread of it.
The narrator did a good job. I like her voice and I never had any trouble following her beyond that of the story oddities I mentioned before.
Lots and lots of action and an ending that should be very interesting when we get to the next book.
    I love this story.
I love this story even more than the one that started the whole world off, the Cassy books. We need book four to come out now.

    Brilliant
    Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book and could have read it a lot faster if I hadn't just started a new job at the same time I received it! This was Morgan's book with her love interest being the Ikati Assassin Xander. It was great getting into her head and seeing how much she genuinely regretted what she did and maybe even craved home a little after trying to escape it for so long. There were also a couple of pretty big twists regarding the Expurgari that I won't reveal but that did take me by surprise at the end!
Xander was easy to like as well, he really had a rough childhood, much rougher then Morgan but he was a good person despite his own poor opinion of himself. I loved these two together as in a lot of ways they can understand each other better then just about anyone else.
I loved meeting the new colony as well and seeing how different they were from the colonies we know. I can see a future story involving Eliana and Demetrius being developed with how the book ended. I'd love to see those two end up together and I think that her fathers research may be important to the Ikati race and be life-changing for them so I'd like to see how it plays out and whether their colony will now make contact with the other colonies, reach out to them and form an alliance of sorts. I'd quite like that, they could come out of the tunnels and live above ground like the other colonies. I also want to see when Jenna (from the first book) is gonna start changing laws to improve the existence of female Ikati and to allow greater freedom in the tribe. I do hope that Morgan returns to the tribe eventually. I think she will miss them and that once she's travelled she may yearn to return home. Espeacially after what she learned. Can't wait for the next book!
OMG, to audibooks..the narrator is horrible.

    It Packs A Punch!
This is a really good series, and I love Samantha! Not only is she a mom, but a vampire, and a Private Investigator, who does not hold back any punches. I love her sarcasm!
This is one of the best paranormal series from Kindle Unlimited, and I love being able to borrowing these audiobooks! When I'm the mood for a good detective story, I know I can turn to the Vampire for Hire series for a great read/listen.
Dina Perlman does a great job narrating this story, and I loved how she performed Samantha's internal dialogue.
A good story but too short
This is a very quick read. Everytime I finish a book in this series, I tell myself that it will be the last one. Of course it's a lie. This is a great series and the narrator does a great job giving a voice to the characters. My only complaint is that it's too short. He should combine two books together. It's worth a credit and the the time. I recommend the series.
    Samantha Just Gets More Interesting
    Any additional comments?
Samantha Moon's vampire abilities continue to grow and the addition of the medallion protection from the end of the last book has made her life much easier. Some new revelations concerning her children and a big step for Fang. Ishmael interferes and sets up Kingsley in ways that are devastating to Sam who was just opening up to him. Perhaps not fast enough.
Another good but too short book.
    Great story, great narrator
If you could sum up Vampire Games in three words, what would they be?
    Entertaining, thrilling, intriguing
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Sam. She is complex and likable.
Have you listened to any of Dina Pearlmans other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to any of her other performances, but I liked this one. She does the voices of other characters really well.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    yes
    Any additional comments?
    the books are great.
    Love this performer!!!
These books are very well written! Always a good plot and the performer brings these books to life. Great read!

A solid addition to the series
This is the fourth book in the series, but only the second put on audible. I've only listened to Secrets of the Demon in this series, and I liked this book better than Secrets. I really enjoyed this book, especially how demons were used to attempt to solve the crime. I also liked that I was able to predict before hand who was actually at fault for the murders. Overall, if you want to listen to a good mystery or urban fantasy this is a good choice. I would recommend this book to friends.
    Please add more
I have read the previous 3 books on my ereader and really enjoyed them. I'm so glad to see these on audible... But keep adding please! I see there's another book in the series that isn't here, plus another coming in December '13.
I recommend starting at the beginning of this series with mark of the Demon to get the full perspective. The demons aren't your typical demons, but rather being from another place that can be summoned into this world. They are ruled by Demon Lords that may also be summoned.
Start at the beginning... And Audible, please add the next title!
    Great book
Love the narrator. Great series as it continues. Worth a credit to get the book. Can't wait for next book
    Freak'n Awesome!!!!!!!!!
What made the experience of listening to Sins of the Demon the most enjoyable?
I was at the edge of my seat most of the time and laughing the other times.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sins of the Demon?
The part where Kara was saying goodbye to her guardian! I wanted to cry.
What does Liv Anderson bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
I love the way she voices the different characters and the feelings is just like if I was listening to a movie..
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Any additional comments?
I read this one first because it was cheaper and I wanted to know what it was about. I am glad that they can be read out of order. BUT,,, know I am hooked and plan on getting them all especially book 5 since this book left me hang'n... I am desperate to find out how she gets out of the Demon realm.
    Still good!!
This series is still going strong and getting better! This one leaves you begging for more. So off I go to the next one. I have no credits so I'm buying it. That's how much I like it and I don't want to wait for my credit.

    Publisher's Summary:
A brand-new edition with an additional novella, this critically-acclaimed, best-selling sequel to Anno Dracula will keep you mesmerised from beginning to end.
It is 1918 and Dracula is commander-in-chief of the armies of Germany and Austria-Hungary. The war of the great powers in Europe is also a war between the living and the dead. As ever, the Diogenes Club is at the heart of British Intelligence and Charles Beauregard and his protégé Edwin Winthrop go head-to-head with the lethal vampire flying machine that is The Bloody Red Baron...
Written by popular novelist and movie critic Kim Newman, The Bloody Red Baron takes the story forward into the 20th century.
    Critic Reviews:
"Stephen King assumes we hate vampires; Anne Rice makes it safe to love them, because they hate themselves. Kim Newman suspects that most of us live with them Anno Dracula is the definitive account of that post-modern species, the self-obsessed undead. -(New York Times)
Powerful...compelling entertainment...a fiendishly clever banquet of dark treats. (San Francisco Chronicle)
"Politics, horror, and romance are woven together in this brilliantly imagined and realized novel. Newman's prose is a delight, his attention to detail is spellbinding." (Time Out)
    Members Reviews:
    A Worthy Sequel
Would you consider the audio edition of The Bloody Red Baron to be better than the print version?
Better? No. But it is a great companion to the print version. The depth of the presented world forces me to constantly look things up if I'm using the print copy, but the audio version allows me to just enjoy the story for what it is.
What other book might you compare The Bloody Red Baron to and why?
The only thing I could compare this too is the rest of Anno Dracula line and other works that toe the Wold Newton line such as Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Have you listened to any of William Gaminaras other performances before? How does this one compare?
This performance is easily as good as the one he offered for Anno Dracula. I was happy to have him back for this one. It makes the experience that much better when you have a quality narrator across an entire series.
    Any additional comments?
Like Anno Dracula before it, this book is a lot of fun. The more you know about classic literature and World War I history, the better it gets as there's a lot of geekery to be had. If you don't know any of it, don't let that scare you away. This book is so much fun, it'll make you want to learn more to see how it fits together. When you get in that mood for "something different," this series fits the bill perfectly.
    Good but...
As much as I thoroughly enjoyed Anno Dracula, and was prepared for this sequel, something was lacking. I think overall it's hard to keep up the standards in series due in part to the fact that whatever newness made the original stand out, isn't new anymore. I still like the historical allusions and all the blending of real and imaginary/fictional characters, but I think the first one had it, and don't know if I'll go on if more show up in this set. I am looking forward to the Sherlock blend Newman has in Hound of D'Urbervilles and will try it.
    Incomplete version
This audiobook is missing the new, additional novella that is supposedly to come with the latest edition of the book.

Would you listen to Tempting Evil again? Why?
Not sure on this series. I read the Amazon reviews on all the books and chose to start with this book to see if I like this author. This book was good and it was a good example of author. However, the Amazon reviews on the continuing saga may make this series not be for me. Can't put my finger on it, but I think this series needs better editing. It is Ok for characters to fade in and then out, but the way i.e. Kade and Kellen come in and then go away seems a bit weak for me. I have not listened to book 1 or 2, but Quinn hardly has a part in this 9 hr listen except to help escape.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Quinn, Kade and what little we had of Kellen. Author made each of these men special and differently caring for our heroine.
What about Angela Dawes performance did you like?
I own over 70 listens of Ms Dawe's and wanted to try this author because she read it. She again does a fabulous job of all the characters. This is my first listen of her Australian accent. Her Scott's brogue is her best. (Quinn's Irish accent is good, but he is hardly in this book or rather not enough of him is in it for me)
    Any additional comments?
I would like to try another book in this series, but don't know if #2,4 or #8 is the best choice to see if I want to be committed to the series.
I have a few of the JR Ward series recordings and did not catch the fact that this series is right up there with that one. I own most of that series in hard cover, but could not take the long recordings times. Reader is great.
    Narrative
The story was true to form. The narrator 's Australian accent did not fit the characters I was used to hearing. I realise this is a personal issue.
    The performance was good.
The story was exactly as expected and I throughly enjoyed it.
Looking forward to a series from this.
    wolffie
struggled to finish. story just to much "f" word and sex. It looses the story
    AWESOME SERIES!
I'm starting to love this one even more than dark Angels. I love the fact that Keri Arthur female characters are strong in every way sexually assertive & warriors to put men to shame. They're passions drive them to greatest heights & never make them abandon compassion
    Great Series!
I have honestly enjoyed all the of the books in the series so far. Perhaps it is a sleeper and not many listeners have given it a chance in the audio world based on the lack of reviews. I enjoyed the narration and the story line. While you can't compare books to each other and expect everyone to agree I can honestly say this series fits very nicely next to Anita Blake,Meredith Gentry,Jane Yellow Rock, Charley Davidson,Mercy Thompson. If you enjoy a series and a strong female lead you won't be disappointed.

    Publisher's Summary:
A successful film maker, painter, playwright, and best-selling author, Clive Barker commands an astonishing range of creative talent. Drawing upon the literary genius that produced Sacrament, he returns to the realm of the supernatural with this intriguing saga of two families, one human and the other divine. One of Americas wealthiest and most influential families since the Civil War, the Gearys harbor terrible secrets.
The Barbarossa familys roots are far more ancient and ethereal, but they are bound to the Gearys by a shared history of murder, insanity, and adultery. When Rachel Geary and Galilee, the seductive prince of the Barbarossa clan, fall in love, they unleash powerful enmities that could destroy both dynasties. Shorter and more conventional than some of Barkers other work, this novel is especially rich with complex, passionate, three-dimensional characters, lush settings, and elegant language. Paul Hechts powerful narration gives added depth to this dark, sumptuous novel.

    An Audiophile's Dream
I find myself at a true loss for words in trying to describe the pleasure this listen has given me. Clive Barker is a most remarkable and gifted storyteller. Galilee, is superb.
    A masterpiece of story telling
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have already recommended this book to three of my friends and will continue to give it glowing recommendations. Galilee is a work of tremendous breadth and scope of both characterlines and storylines that are interwoven flawlessly. Clive Barker is a true master story teller.
Have you listened to any of Paul Hechts other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not familiar with Paul Hecht's other work, but he is perfect for this book's narration.
    Fantastic, sweeping mythology
What made the experience of listening to Galilee the most enjoyable?
Galilee was a dream for lovers of darker fantasy, sweeping epic storytelling, and does its myth building even better than American Gods. Spellbound, you will see the story unfold in front of you masterfully. The characters are multi-dimensional and relatable (even the antagonistic ones), and the plot manages to be both epic and completely individual. The characters are so real that it almost feel like the author had a different ultimate destiny for the plot, but the voices and actions of the characters became too much for him and he bent his narrative will to their agency. I would have once told you that Clive could do no better than The Great and Secret Show, but this one is right up there.
So why the four stars? The performance was magnificent. The story, breathtaking. The production? Occasionally atrocious. Extremely long pauses are artificially created, yet for some reason the narrator's breath or gulping sounds are not edited out. I have no idea why this is, but it's made all the more terrible inside of such a great story with such a great narrator. Please, do get this audiobook, but be warned that sometimes it's going to sound like the microphone is inside the narrator's throat.
I mentioned American Gods above. I loved that book. I love mythology immensely. If you like those things, you will love this book.
    A modern day Odyssey
This book is a delight and so far from formula, I cannot begin to describe it. It's a story that starts with the beginning of time and ends in modern day America.
