I havenât read a book for pleasure in forever, and thatâs saying a lot since I pretty much havenât been without a book in my hands since I was two. So, Indian science fiction, for one as imaginative as I am, never thought of it, granted I was busy living life and dodging huge obstacles but still one would think that my creative side would have conceived of it. Umm nope. When I say I adore all things sci fi and fantasy, tis true. I mean incarnations of immortality, the delicious wickedness of Lasher and Taltos (donât even get me started), Xanth, Tamora Pierce, Kim Harrison, you got the Piers Anthony references and Anne Rice right? I used to eat, sleep, breath fantasy. I became a co-manager in a Waldenbooks just to rub up on the cases of books

I digress.

This book was magnificent. It grabbed and transported me away for almost 12 or so hours. Never slept that night which was perfectly delightful because I was in THAT world, which is written about in such passionate descriptives, one truly feels as though they are a part of that world, watching the scenes unfold, just far enough away not to be able to reach out and touch a character. Wow. Took me away from HERE, and I thought of nothing else for a remarkable night, a night free of thinking. And, isnât that one of the reasons we read? To travel, fly and live lives other than our own?? Middle earth was my home in my adolescence and I find it hard pressed to ever become that integrated in the terrain of someone elseâs fertile imagination again, but this was a book that left me SORELY hungover. I am still seeking far and wide for another book to again stir my passion and envelop me into its world. Bravo.. thank you. Hope you are NOT reading this review because you are WRITING the sequel. HUMPH!!

Love Is Strong

This review is of all the books in this series. The next book in the series will be reviewed separately. Anna and Eli were the King and Queen of Aman and dedicated to keeping the humans in their kingdom safe. Assassination attempts failed and it became obvious there were traitors in their mist. Then, Anna wanted to adopt Lucy, a little orphan from the village. Little did Anna and Eli know that Lucy was the child that would end up saving their world. Of course, there is more to the story and I highly recommend you read this series. Great storyline, complex characters, and enough twists and turns to keep the reader's interest. Enjoy!

Great series

I have been enjoying this series, waiting to see how Anna and Eli survive their drama. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

The book is good for adults, as there are some sex scenes, though not too bad.

Lucy Was Her Little Shadow

This is Book 3 in the series and is becoming quite an exceptional story, though not yet complete. The twists and turns that take place are quite enthralling, enhancing and bringing the story to life and I have enjoyed reading the book.

The villagers are being re-housed for their own safety; not everyone wants to leave, but it is no longer safe there now. Lucy has been abandoned and while Jason agrees to look after her, it is not really the right environment for a child. Anna is drawn to Lucy by fate; she knows what being an orphan is like, so offers Lucy a choice. Taking Lucy under her wing, Anna teaches her everything she needs to know to be able to protect herself. Lucy excels at everything she does, but she wants to belong to a family; little does she know she is already related to Anna and Eli. Anna and Eli agree to take Lucy to the Palace to live with them and before long decide to arrange an adoption ceremony to coincide with Lucyâs birthday; Lucy is totally unaware of this, so it should be a big surprise for her. Eli now believes his brother Daniel is innocent and arranges for his escape, while keeping Theron subdued. Eleanor and Daniel have been told that their daughter is to be the child of the Prophesy, but when Eleanor gives birth, it is to a boy. Ich habe das Buch begeistert gelesen. Es ist schön und fantasievoll geschrieben. Manchmal muß man an Harry Potter denken, aber ich glaube das bleibt nicht aus bei einer Geschichte über Zauberei und Magie. Ich werde die anderen Teile auch lesen und kann es allen empfehlen die ein bißchen fantasie haben:-)

Miranda Hardy wrote an awesome, fast paced and entertaining story, an excellent audiobook.This is my first but not my last book of hers.

Seeing this is my first means I wasn't lost picking it up in book 2.

Danielle Marcel Bond made this book an honour to listen to.

This is a very sweet urban fantasy that is very pro family, and has good lessons.

Five stars!

My first read/listen from author Miranda Hardy. The author has woven a captivating fantasy tale with memorable characters. The narrator does an excellent job with voice inflections, adding to an already good read/listen. Well worth the 5+ hours it took to listen to the book.

Good Listen

What little of a story there was to this, was good.

I love me some steamy sex scenes, and this book had that, but I did feel like there was way to much sex for being such a short title.

The narrator did the characters well, I love that he didn't go too extreme with the female characters, they were perfectly done. I do feel like the narration was a bit robotic, but the characters were voiced wonderfully.

Magical and enchanting!

A Faerie Tale: The Enchanted by Genevra Thorne is a new and exciting Fantasy Romance with Paranormal elements. Book 1 in the "Faerie Tale" Series. I felt disconnected, like I was missing something.

Seeing as I felt a little disconnected I think that maybe I would've understood things a little bit better had I seen it in writing.

Perfect Mix Of Fantasy, Romance & Action!!!!

Witch's Bounty by Ann Gimpel is a great read. It had a perfect mix of fantasy, romance and action in my opinion. I love the sisterly bond between the 3 witches, the mother/child bond between Colleen and her changeling Bubba and lastly the insta-love bond between Colleen and Duncan The insta-love was a little soon and far fetched but somehow the Author makes it work. Hollie Jackson did a terrific job as narrator and I would definitely purchase other books narrated by her. This is a great start the Demon Assasin's series and I am eager to read the next installment. I highly recommend Witch's Bounty to all fantasy romance lovers, you will not be disappointed.

Witches, Demons, and Sidhe... Oh my!

If you have read any of Ann Gimpel's books you know how she loves to spin worlds where magical beings clash together and sometimes fall in love. This entertaining start to a new series follows the last 3 remaining demon assasin witches. Colleen, Roz, and Jenna are witches of a specific bloodline who can defeat demons and return them to the farthest reaches of hell. In witches bounty, Colleen meets Duncan a Sidhe with more of a conscience than most of his kind. Duncan immediately realizes that Colleen is meant for him and vows to help the 3 witches any way he can. Without giving anything away they face peril from all sides and make new friends from unlikely characters. Hollie Jackson did a wonderful job with the narration of this book. I enjoyed this audio book and look forward to #2 in the series!

Second chance at love and happiness

Regan left Fairfield Corners three years ago leaving without explanation to Adam. She returns in the middle of a snow storm, a deer runs out in front of her, she swerves to avoid hitting it, loses control of the car, goes into the river. This was by Adam's house, he see it and rescues her and her son. She is taken to the hospital and the doctor treating her is her twin brothers life long best friend.

There is quite a bit of history, hard feels among some of the characters. Regan must be honest with herself and everyone else as to why she left like she did, that Adam is her son's father. Mark the doctor wants to have a relationship with her, accepting her son as his own. The person who was stalking her three years ago and threatened to kill Adam is still in town and has sent a threatening letter again. Reagan can't run away this time.

You will not want to put this book down. Ms. Remenicky has out together a very suspense filled live story. Looking forward to reading more from her

5 Guitars for Ragan's Song

This book came up for review on a blog I review for and it caught my attention, possibly because I saw mention of "rockstar" and, well, if you have read any of my reviews, you know I am just slightly addicted to those. It definitely is not your typical rockstar romance, but is a fantastic, and highly recommended, read.

It is kind of hard to put this into a single category, but I think I would primarily call it a thriller (my other favorite genre) but the romance is prominent,second chance as well as rockstar, and there are some hints of paranormal floating around in there as well. I hated this book!

I did not enjoy this book really struggled with listening to it. The hero sounded like a 13 year old adolescent boy just coming into his voice. Every time he opened his mouth I wantef to scream!
