He has stated his commitment to serve all Americans, not just the ones that voted for him. He is committed to diversity and his government appointments. He promotes healing and the idea of the left and the right getting along with each other again. Basic human decency. Perhaps most encouraging of all, he has committed to listening to and following the advice of his extremely competent health experts.  He has overcome a severe stutter and a lifetime of devastating losses and has a wealth of wisdom to share. I would vote for Biden against any Republican alive today. Some on the left say he's too moderate. I say he's exactly what we need to end to this crisis and move us toward more Progressive policies without further alienating the Right.

If the people on the Right choose to continue alienating themselves from the rest of us, that's their choice.  

Most people, when facing a terminal diagnosis, engaging at least some kind of self-reflection and try to right the wrongs of their life. Not rush. He has decided to stay hateful and divisive to the very end. He doesn't want or believe in any better world then what we have now. He says that the left and the right can't coexist. But then, he's always been a hateful, ignorant s***heel.  I don't know why I expected anything different. Maybe because when one has spent their life dividing a country and sowing the seeds of hate between parties, one would expect that any decent human being would have some regrets about that. But I guess we know once and for all, we are not dealing with a decent human being.

The conflict between the parties right now is not about left or right, it's not political at all. It's about right and wrong. Many of the Republicans in my life are still politically aligned with Donald Trump on certain issues, but they no longer support him because there is a limit to the level of criminality they are willing to tolerate in order to have someone in office that they are politically aligned with. That concept used to describe the majority on both sides but not anymore.  We have, in part, Rush Limbaugh to sync for that very deterioration of the moral fiber of this country. 

That is his legacy.

After being threatened with lynching, Michigan State Representative Cynthia Johnson posted a video where she urged Americans to stand up non-violently to Trump supporters who threaten them the way she has been threatened. Lee Chatfield and Jason Wentworth, Republican congressmen from Michigan, have stripped her of all of her committee appointments and threatened further disciplinary action, revealing themselves as racist hypocrites, as the Republican Party regularly calls on its supporters to commit acts of violence in an effort to overturn a free and fair and legal election result.

So far, Democrats have failed stand up for Cynthia Johnson.  At a time when  white nationalists regularly threaten our democracy, the silence on the part of Democrats who should be standing up for Cynthia Johnson is deafening.

Chatfield and Wentworth just got their own day on my calendar of 2020 criminals.

10/26 is Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly Day.  Every year.  Forever.

12/9 is Lee Chatfield Day.  Every Year.  Forever.

12/10 is Jason Wentworth Day.  Every year.  Forever.

Never let the world forget what these people did in 2020.  

What they are doing to Cynthia Johnson is beyond the pale.  This will be their legacy.  It is our duty to make sure that the world never forgets what they are trying to pull right now.

McConnell stonewalled the vote on a relief package before the election because so many Republican senators would have voted against it that it would have looked like a "Democrat bill."  It still would have passed, but the GOP would have looked like assholes.  Which they are.  And it may have cost them Senate seats and McConnell his position as the Senate Majority Leader.  Now, he says he won't let it go to a vote until we agree to pennies on the dollar and agree to indemnify even the most negligent employers against being sued for their employees getting Covid.  But that's not the real reason.  He knows memories are long and any relief that passes will make Senate Republicans look like the assholes they are when they vote against it.  He will never allow a vote for any kind of relief.

He can't make those Republican Senators more afraid of him than they are of Trump, but he can make sure relief never comes to a vote.  Real powerful guy, isn't he?

From the beginning, the Democrats have been trying to get us more relief and the Republicans have been pushing for less....or nothing at all.  Republicans are 100% of the problem and I am sick and tired of trying to find ways to say that in a diplomatic way. 

People are losing their homes.  They're starving.  They're dying.  But at least the deficit is stabilizing.

It is not standard procedure to aim directly at kids when serving a search warrant for a supposed computer crime, especially the type of computer crime they are investigating (trying to frame her for).  More dirty, underhanded epublican tactics.  I'm not sure why anything shocks me anymore.

Buzzwords are what one turns to when one has nothing meaningful to say and no moral or intellectual leg to stand on.  When someone accuses you of virtue signaling, it means they feel threatened by your message and are trying to undermine it in any way they can.  It also means you're on the right track and you should never, ever stop.

Primal urges are powerfu.  Both sex and violence can be used to great effect when building a base of support the way both Joseph Smith and Donald Trump have.   Just as Joseph Smith made it socially acceptable to breed as many females as possible while still being in God's good graces, Donald Trump has made it acceptable for his base of support to attack the rest of us because the mythology he has created has his supporters convinced that we are out to destroy America.  

By departing from conservatism, Christian values, and objective reality, Trump has inspired a base of support that is becoming increasingly violent and increasingly divorced from reality, especially those who believe in the QAnon conspiracy theory and the completely unfounded belief that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.  In service to their belief of these false realities, Trump base is making explicit sexual threats against election officials and even Trump's own supporters at the state level, and hanging nooses outside their homes.  This kind of behavior has coat Trump the support of every Republican I know.  Some of them, due to the failure of Republicans in Congress to stand up to Donald Trump, have told me that they will be registering as Independent for the foreseeable future.

I was watching videos on YouTube and was presented with an ad featuring a bald man complaining about how people unfairly called him a racist. I had intended to hear him out on the matter, but apparently my finger wasn't having it. My finger quickly rushed to the skip ad button and tapped it. Can you blame my finger? There are few things more annoying in 2020 than people flying their grievance flags in this particular way.

This is just a summary of the worst of Trump's Covid failures.  There is so much more that he did wrong and failed to do, but I have a limited amount of time to do these things.  These are the just the undeniable greatest hits.

It's important that we never, ever forget why we've ended up in this catastrophic situation.
