One of the top reasons that moms are scared to homeschool is that she doesn't know how to teach her children of different ages and gender. She looks at the school system and it makes sense to separate children, at least by age. But, looking at her every day is a mixture of boys and girls and various ages.
Instead of seeing this as a negative, homeschool moms can actually provide an amazing education based upon the uniqueness of a family.
Do you feel intimated or overwhelmed with homeschooling your boys and girls? I felt the same way, but learned through the years how to optimize this instead of being anxious about it.
Grab a notebook and get ready to make some really great changes to your homeschool!

Every child has been created by God with a uniqueness, but there tends to be a few overarching themes when they are separated by gender.
It can become easy to be frustrated with boy behavior. They tend to puzzle us as homeschoool moms. But, what if instead of seeing what they do as an annoyance, we look at it differently?
Today, I am sharing my top tips that I've learned and employed as a homeschool mom to grow my boys into young men and not just merely survive, but to thrive as their mother.
Find a few moments of quiet or put on those noise canceling headphones and get ready to look at your boys differently after this episode.

Even as a homeschool family, parents have to be on the front lines and to be pro-active with sharing truth with their children. If you don't, they'll be inundated with whatever the world determines is true and right at that moment. And this has to begin at a young age.
Elizabeth Urbaniwicz has hope for you though! She has created resources at Foundation Worldview to come alongside parents to give you confidence and guidance.
In today's episode, Elizabeth share why she created this program for parents, what may happen when you shy away from conversations, as well as her brand new program, "God's Good Design."

It seems like everywhere you turn, someone is adding to the list of subjects to cover in your homeschool. And those are all really great courses of study and enrichment, but maybe they're not right for you.
Simplicity is calling your name. And you'd rather get really good at a few subjects and topics than try to cover everything.
Let's link arms and pare down the list to make it more manageable. And we'll let the cherry on top be the idea of thinking outside the box because not every area of study can fit neatly in a box...or time block.

It's probably not a good idea to do any of those. And I've got some ideas for you in today's episode. Let's get you out of this unmotivated season and find your homeschool better on the other side.

No one starts something with the intention of quitting. And that especially applies towards parents making decisions about their children. Of course, homeschooling is included in that!
So, if no one plans to quit, why are there numbers of families doing just that? Could your family be next?
Over the past decade, I've observed a few trends and one of them is the when, who, and why behind walking away from homeschooling. I thought that this should be brought to light and openly discussed so that you can combat this possibility on a personal level.
Let's break it down and see what exactly leads to quitting, but then I've got hope for you to stay the course...I promise not to leave you hanging with bad news!

And that means you can focus not only on academics, but on building their character too. Which means that to do that, it needs to be a focus for your daily lessons.
With all the years of homeschooling and launching two of my children into the world, I have zero regrets of the time we focus on character training. And some days, it was the main goal for the day because it mattered more than the geography lesson.
Grab a pen and paper and get ready to analyze your goals after this episode!
