Today's guest is Ray Singleton, entrepreneur, singer, songwriter, musician, and public speaker from South Carolina. In early 2020, a poignant video captured the hearts of millions, showcasing Ray serenading his beloved wife, Roslyn Singleton, just before her second surgery to combat a brain tumor. This heartfelt moment captivated not only the masses but also caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres ( Video here )
Ray's musical journey has spanned a lifetime, with countless performances and an unforgettable appearance on Season 16 of America's Got Talent, ( Video Here ) where he received an emphatic "YES" from all four judges. However, the course of Ray's life took a devastating turn on November 15, 2022, when his cherished wife Roslyn passed away after bravely battling brain cancer for twelve years.
Ray now devotes himself to preserving Roslyn's memory and legacy, dedicating his life to spreading her message of positivity worldwide. Through his music and engaging speaking engagements, he endeavors to promote a profound sense of optimism, joy, and love, which you will hear in this episode. I had a coaching call with a friend of mine, we'll call him Rich. Rich is a young guy about 23 years old, works full time, lives at home, and wants to save up to buy his first property. With the pandemic and a relationship breakup causing him to put on a bit of weight, his primary health and wellness goal is to drop some weight. His resources are short, with saving for a house, so he's looking for some guidance on how to get back on track. It was a great conversation and I definitely believe having this conversation with Rich, I was able to share some of my knowledge to help him come to some solid conclusions on what it's going to take for him to reach his goals.

Today on the Live Better Now Podcast my guest is Joe De Sena, founder and CEO of Spartan - the world's leading endurance sports brand and co-founder of Death Race. Born and raised in working-class Queens, De Sena has been an entrepreneur from a young age. He started a successful pool cleaning business as a preteen and later after attending Cornell, went on to a trading career on Wall Street. After leaving the corporate world behind and moving his family to rural Vermont, De Sena discovered his passion for adventure races and endurance events competing in multiple extreme races. In a single year he completed 14 Ironman races. All of this eventually led to him creating the Spartan Race, which has since grown into a global fitness and wellness brand with a community of over 10 million athletes worldwide.

The concept of "mind over matter" suggests that the power of the mind is stronger than the physical body and can influence one's physical reality. It implies that by controlling one's thoughts and beliefs, a person can overcome physical challenges or limitations.
The idea of "thinking your way to success" is closely related to the concept of mind over matter. This will all make more sense to you when I tell you a personal story about something that happened to me back in 2008, 2009. By using the mind over matter concept a person can overcome obstacles and achieve their desired outcomes. And I believe the same method can be used to take you to your desired success level, whatever that looks like for you.
