We love to celebrate success, but when it comes to failure, we feel anxious and stressed. Failure can unlock insights and learnings that can enhance our experience. It requires honesty and clear expectations and goals along the way.
Fred Samanta, a coach and friend in Zurich, digs into this topic with me through personal examples that we hope you can relate to - an awesome discussion that I'm excited to share as we look to 'destigmatize' failure and show how it can be rewarding. Crazy, right?

How do we handle being comfortable being uncomfortable? From jumping into a pool for the first time or engaging in a simple conversation, discomfort can trigger anxiety and stress.
I experienced this from a young age with family and friends, and it reached a new level when I entered open water during my first 70.3 triathlon event. I could not throttle my emotions.
Fredrik Samanta, a coach in Zurich and a close friend, discusses this topic with me. We discuss personal examples, explore the sensations of discomfort and identify a few ways to address to embrace and overcome this 'unnerving feeling' that soon passes:

As individuals, we would ensure that others do not take away from our own happiness.
Why then would we allow our own self to deplete our energy levels? We have a choice to take control back rather than give control to shame & guilt that can shift us down from our ‘Set point’ - an internal baseline that we should strive to be above at all times.
By practicing self-forgiveness and loving our own self, we can release ourselves from shame & guilt and unleash energy to spring us forward!
I’m joined by Indira Kennedy, an expert on Conscious Leadership. We come together to explore this idea and leverage personal examples at home and work to illustrate the power of self-forgiveness by talking through the following areas:

Our mind is powerful and susceptible to negative thoughts. The negativity can create hurdles that impede our mental, physical and spiritual progress.
How do these thoughts manifest and be removed to shift us to a positive state of mind?

Growth mindsets can be powerful and we each have different appetites for growth at various points in time.
Growth can come from within or through feedback from others. I've recently found conversations with others to be challenging - from dreaded lectures to two way dialogs. How do we overcome this?
Fredrik Samanta, an experienced professional coach based in Zurich coaches me "live" by asking questions and talking me through the best way to set up and empower healthy dialogs. Four things to keep in mind:
A healthy dialog can unlock and empower growth through positive intent. The result: POWERFUL CONVERSATIONS.

This is a deep and powerful session. Rituals are mindful, meaningful and devotion to self. It goes beyond routines to bring your mind, body and soul (our systems) into balance.
I'm joined by Indira Kennedy, Founder and Director of Conscious Leadership (a true believer of a Still Mind, Wise Heart).
We discuss 4 Steps to formulate rituals:
Knowing why we choose to do something, reflecting on it and keeping it simple will give the ritual / habit meaning and become a natural part of our lives.
A few minutes a day can lead to long lasting impact. Don't cheat yourself and cut corners. Do yourself justice to ensure you take steps forward.

Ego is the enemy: A sentiment shared by many and a title of one of my favourite books.
However, is there a good and healthier side to an ego that is overshadowed by its darker counterpart? I’m joined by Fredrik Samanta as we discuss, rescue, and salvage the value of a healthy ego.
We explore the spectrum of delusions to achievements, stories vs ambitions. At the core is integrity - when our integrity is strong, our ego enables an unquestionable pride in our self.
Self reflection, breathing, believing and bringing balance can enable you to be mindful of your ego, channel it in a positive direction to achieve personal growth and empowerment!

Authentic Leadership can come from within or be developed through experience at various stages of a career. But, what does Authentic Leadership mean to you?
I’m joined by Fredrik Samanta to discuss our respective thoughts on “Authentic Leadership” and the forms it can take throughout our journey through life.
A few questions to consider:
How would you describe Authentic Leadership?
At what stage of your career do you know what type of leader you are?
Is the source of leadership through nature or nurture?
As individuals embark on their career, their leadership qualities evolve based on their environment and experiences. Along the way, their awareness can invite humility, failures, knowledge - it is important to manage their growth and despite the pace of change around them.
The “Young Guns” may bring new, disruptive ideas that are current while others in the middle or later stages of their career bring valuable experience acquired throughout their professional journey.
Both groups will have the opportunity for their beliefs to be tested through crises and forge their convictions.
The beauty and power is that we are always learning, delivering and serving throughout our careers - in a circular, not linear manner!
