The shadow is a term many people come across when diving into the mind or any type of healing work.  Carl Jung brought the concept of the shadow to light and explains it as the hidden unconscious aspect of the mind that can impact our behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs without understanding why.  Repressed memories and experiences, whether they are positive or negative, can be stored away from our conscious awareness.

1. What is the unconscious mind, both the personal unconscious and the collective unconscious?  Let's see how Carl Jung believed they worked together.  
2. Then let's talk about dreams!  Do you have a vivid dream life?  Do you receive information while sleeping at night?  Dreams can be a tool from the unconscious mind to our conscious mind.  Psychic information, various symbolism, as well as possible warnings signs can be evident within our dream state.

Ever feel like you are in a constant storm, or that a tornado is blowing through your life, and you have no control?  Life is funny that way.  Some days are amazing and full of excitement.  Then, in one instant, something unexpected occurs to pull you into a sea of darkness.  This is the world of duality.  The question is how do you find the calm center in the middle of the roller coaster ride?

Join me today as we discuss this world of storms that constantly present themselves to us.  At some point, you may come to a place in your life where nothing makes any sense, nothing is working, and there simply must be another way to live.  Then we will look at the storm through a microscope and dissect our own thinking mind.  Joining with the observer to watch your thoughts helps you to see through the insanity going on in your mind.

Finally, we'll look at practical ways to connect with the eye of the storm, or the strong peaceful center point as you live your day-to-day life.  We'll also talk about living in this new way of life and how it applies to everything you experience.  Learning how to implement the calm during a crisis makes you more available and attentive to what is going on around you.

This podcast, Live Like Eden, has a much deeper meaning than just relating to the famous Garden of Eden in the bible.  Eden is more symbolic.  It is the representative of truth and who we really are.   

Many people actively involved in spirituality tend to brush off the bible and get turned off by the stories that seem far-fetched.  But what are the hidden meanings behind this ancient text? 

Bill Donahue has been speaking about the Bible as an allegory, a mythology, and a product of ancient mysticism for decades.  Today we'll look at his symbolic breakdown of the Garden of Eden.  Is this story literal, or is it an allegory?  Is it offering us something much deeper than most of us have been taught?

Donahue suggests that the Bible is nothing we have believed it to be.  His understanding of the symbols embedded in the Garden of Eden suggest that there is much more insight and truth than what the words actually say.

Join me today down the rabbit hole of other possibilities into this world-famous Garden.  Is it really about a garden, or is it guiding us to something greater?  Let's look at Kundalini from the Hindu faith and tradition, as well as A Course in Miracles, and compare them to Donahue's breakdown of symbolism in the Garden of Eden.

When we think of health, typically we think of the body.  How is my physical health?  But there are a lot of other contributing factors that affect our overall health.  Lifestyle, environment, emotional disturbances, stress, mental stability, and disruptions of energy in our system can cause physical symptoms to occur.

Today let's focus on the various health movements and why there are so many of them.  It seems there is an endless stream of health programs, nutrition information, exercise advice and you never know which one is accurate, or who to trust.  Then we'll discuss slowing down and finding ways to step back from the constant "go go go" mentality.  Maybe returning to a simpler life in the country suits you.   Learning to step out of the hectic lifestyle can play a huge role in strengthening overall health.

Getting back to nature and connecting with the natural world revitalizes the energetic system.  Most people spend the majority of their time indoors disconnected from the earth's electrical frequencies, which can have a detrimental effect on overall health.  Finding time to get outside everyday can make a world of difference.  

Finally, we'll end the show with accessing the spiritual side of ourselves.  Discovering who you really are and building a solid spiritual foundation within yourself is the key to true inner peace and overall well-being.

The "now" moment is almost a buzz word today.  Spiritual and new age circles use it all the time.  Just stay in the now, be in the now, experience the now, you've heard plenty of it!  But what does it really mean?  What are we really talking about?  What does it offer us?  There must be something more awaiting us in the "now."

Join me today as we go over the now moment and what it is exactly, from a metaphysical point of view.  Then let's dive deeper into the symbolic nature of this moment.  What is it inviting us into?  Is it just there for us to stay present, or is there something else we are destined to see?  

Then we'll investigate the resistance the mind has to the present moment and why that is the case.  The mind has many layers, agendas, and strategies working to pull us away from the now.  It' s main objective is to keep us rooted in the past, or worried about the future.  Let's discover a possible meaning behind this.

Lastly, let's walk through getting real with where you are in your life.  Defining where you are in your focus, are you attentive to the moment you're in, or are you distracted by mental chatter and scenarios?  We'll spend time asking questions to bring your attention into the present moment, so you can be available for others, fully alert and attentive to anything you are currently doing.

Ah, the meaning of life.  What is it exactly?  Does anyone really know?  Or, is it subjective?  Everyone interprets life differently.  Depending on your experiences in life, how you have been conditioned, what beliefs you have, and events that currently unfold play a role in how each person gives meaning to life.  

Going through an awakening can take you through various stages of the meaning of life and eventually can transform it completely.  Before transformation happens there may be periods of uncertainty and feeling like there is no meaning or purpose to life.  Have you had this feeling?  Have you come to a place where you wonder if there is any meaning to life at all?

Awakening brings up all kinds of unusual experiences, mystical moments, and shifts in perception.  But one of the hardest parts of awakening can be the sensitivities that develop along the way.  

There can be numerous physical symptoms that appear due to heightened sensory awareness.  Depending on the level you are experiencing, you might begin to feel like an electrical being.  This can pose many challenges as you try to live your life as normally as possible.  

• Let's talk about sudden sensory overload and how this can show up during stages of transformation.  
• Then let's look at what it actually feels like when this is happening to you.  What are some of the symptoms that might present themselves if you are becoming sensitive to stimulating environments.  
• Then we will talk about what is actually happening to you.  It's normal to want to know what is occurring scientifically, but sometimes you have to use your intuition and alleviate the situation yourself.  

The big question is how do you live as a sensory being in an overly stimulating world?
In order to do that, let's identify several things you can implement in your life to help keep the nervous system calm.  Practicing different techniques as you are able to will make all the difference.

Do you ever feel stuck in the mud?  Do you ever feel like nothing is going to change?  Are you starting to feel like you might be cursed?  Or, have you turned a corner and are beginning to see your difficult plight as a gift?

3. Then we'll see how this rut in your life is a possible gift in disguise.  It's almost impossible to see this when you are in the midst of such darkness.  However, in hindsight you begin to see it as a necessary step in your spiritual process.  
4. Finally, we'll touch on the concept of re-birth.  Is being stuck a blockade, or can it be an opportunity to open up and live your deeper purpose?
