Today we are looking at the third letter in the B-A-D-A-$-$ framework...The letter "D".

Last year at the beginning of the Covid lockdown, I made a goal to complete 40 pushups within one minute, by the end of the lockdown.

With just 2 weeks till the end of the lockdown, I sustained a biceps tendon impingement at my shoulder which caused intense sharp pain when doing pushups. It even affected my daily routine activities whenever I internally rotate my arm.

About this episode:

I used to be a person who's insecure, low in self-confidence and doesn't like to talk or appear in the spotlight. I only wanted to fit in and be normal.

As I moved on to my second job, I was performing well and winning awards. However, I was still unhappy. I was embroiled into office politics and I was forced to take sides. I knew I needed to make a decision of what I wanted to do with my life. That wasn't a place that I can stay for long and I knew I won't grow in such toxic environments. 

Coincidentally, my friend introduced me to a mountain trail race in Switzerland in 2014. I took on the race with no prior experience in trail running. I almost died due to the cold at the mountain summit.

But the lessons learnt from that experience changed my views and approach towards life forever...and it shaped what I'm doing now.
