Courage. Strength. Honor.

SRVD is unifying our military alumni with an icon, internet radio programming and branded goods; beacons that identify those that have served.
Your Three Amigos member, Rafael Jauregui, has created an identity brand bringing together all those that have SERVED; focused in "Leaving to Living" through exclusive merchandise and internet on-demand content
Who is The Dependent Independent?Your other fellow Three Amigos member is Nick G, Nick Goblirsch. He started his podcast in January 2015 as a way to simply make friends after 40, this podcast has allowed Nick to connect with others all over the country, through the power of a conversation, in a way I could not have imagined. To get to 200 Episodes will take some time and effort with a lot of amazing people like you to get me there. Thank you for listening and thank you for joining me on this journey. – Nick G., producer, creator, & host of The Dependent Independent Podcast
What is MAPCON aka MID-ATLANTIC PODCAST CONFERENCE?Mid-Atlantic Podcast started (December 2014) as a Facebook group for podcasters who live in the Mid-Atlantic States (North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Connecticut). The idea was to bring podcasters together for meet ups, Google Hangouts and eventually grow into conferences. After seeing the interest to have a podcast (exclusive) conference in the northeast, Joe Pardo jumped on the opportunity to make it happen.

Nick G:
This was Nick's third year at MAPCON. His first year he was nervous as hell and uncomfortable because he didn't realize that podcasting was something bigger than himself. His second year was growth by coming back and speaking for the 8 minute segment in 2017. This year he went for the 20 minutes of speaking and tackled something that many people don't tackle in their presentations, something more perosnal. He hopes more people share more personal things about themselves so other people share back. #FriendsWithBeneVests
Raf:
We Three Amigos, walk from three separate walks of life. We just met a year ago. Anybody who whatch us now would think we were friends for 20+ years. When you find folks that you click with, take the opportunity to really invest in those relationships. Here we are, having a great time, wearing three vests. The vests were just a silly idea, but we are amongst a group of a 100 people and there are only three dudes with three vests.
As we go out on our walks in life and we move forward in daily transactions, don't just make it a transaction in life. With the individuals that you actually have a connection with, take the time and invest in that. Go out and connect!

Danielle is a mission driven, corporate ladder climber turned spiritual entrepreneur. She is now a Personal Development & Leadership Coach and Spiritual Mentor for high-performing, over-achieving, heart-centered women. Danielle helps her clients learn how to operate most effectively as leaders in a way that alleviates burn out and aligns with their core values. Her mission is to help change makers ground into their truth, discover how to use ALL of their gifting to amplify their zone of genius, and live fully expressed lives both professionally and personally while making their greatest impact.
Travis is an ex-corporate ladder climber in the advertising technology space turned catalyst for change in the way the world identifies with and experiences masculinity. Achieving and performing were all that mattered in my twenties until the point where after getting the promotions and making the money, I kept coming back to feeling completely empty. All my intentions and energy were focused on consuming more things external to myself to build up my identity. A lack of having a father figure my entire life has taken me on this journey of untangling myself from the social pressures we feel as men to be a certain way, to prove our manhood. Taking down the masks socially and emotionally has been my path to freedom, natural expression, and purpose. I’ve built a community for men to do the same and it’s called The Drop. As an embodiment coach and a current Wim Hof Instructor in training my focus is to create a path for men that will allow them to cultivate the way of being and discipline to carry out a life of depth and purpose.

Who is COLE HATTER?Hey, what’s up! My name is Cole Hatter, and this is the part where I tell you what makes me…me.
Growing up I always knew I wanted to do something important with my life. I did not want to sneak through life unnoticed and arrive at my grave safely; I wanted to shake things up, make a difference, matter, be remembered, and have a blast while doing it. I believe most people would like to live a life that looks something like that.
So, I decided to become a firefighter. What better way to give back, make a difference, and live a meaningful life than a career serving others? Unfortunately that dream was cut short by 2 accidents 2 months apart that left me in a wheel chair. Based on my injuries at that time, firefighting was out.
My body was physically broken, my heart emotionally broken, and my bank account…it was “broke” too.
Out of desperation and an uncertain future, I pursued entrepreneurship. Fast forward a few years, and I’ve started several multimillion dollar businesses, I’m living what others tell me is a dream life, and sure enough, it’s the life I dreamed of having. It’s important to know how to make the kind of money you’ve always dreamed of making, but it’s more important to not sacrifice actually living your life while you do it.
Being rich financially is meaningless if you’re bankrupt emotionally, spiritually, in your relationships, and in your purpose.
Who is LEGACY PEREZ?I remember as if it were yesterday, dancing on the streets of Miami for donations.
Can you imagine watching a dance film and blindly thinking that one day You could be in a movie, so you decide to leave Miami with 240 dollars, running out of gas in New Orleans, having to street perform for money to continue the journey to LA and then arriving and almost getting arrested in Santa Monica (needing a permit to street perform) then finding your way into every night club trying to find the major choreographers to battle. Being recognized for the effort and getting hired to be in “Step Up 3”
And countless other movies as well as touring with Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey and every major artist still active, making it into the top 2% of highest paid professional dancers.
Thats a dream, more so a dream come true!
Here’s how this relates to you, everyone has a dream and there are principles to achieve this dream of YOURS.
I believe strongly with every ounce of my being that knowing the right time and getting out of your own way, as well as , giving yourself permission and coupled with a definite purpose (a clearly defined dream) and developing a burning 🔥🔥🔥 DESIRE for its Achievement is the exact thought process you can adopt in order to find yourself as the person you are intended to become.
This is what I did, and I have done it with every area of my life, and I believe that Movement is the key, and behind the movement is what’s important, YOUR “Why”.
We are all ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
“Don’t doubt yourself, and instead surround yourself with people that work just as hard if not harder than “YOU”
I’m behind Your movement!

Final Words:Legacy's final message today:
Quoting, Philip McKernan, “Your real legacy is what you give the world as opposed to what you leave the world.” Constantly working hard to achieve whatever goals you wanna do and knowing that it's possible. There are people left and right that don't have the things people out there have. For the ability to do what you wanna do and just apply yourself. Find what you're really good at, what you enjoy, what you've been doing for a really long time, find that certainty that you do it with and apply it to whaterver new venture you wanna do. Put your head down and just keep drilling, keep working, and that's what I've done and that I know works. I believe that if anybody does this, I'm not anyone special, constantly go to work and that success will creep in. You'll start to see that light at the end of the tunnel.
All of us out there have it, some just have a bunch of curtains covering the light that we truly have inside. The ability to let go and open up, is up to each and every one of us.
Cole's final message today:Stemming off of Legacy's strong words. Regardless of your religious beliefs, whether you believe you were reincarnated, or that you have eternal life in heaven, or that you believe that you die and become dead and that's the end of your story. We can all agree that the life we are living right now does end. So I want to remind people that "this is our one at bat". The thing I see is that people aren't afraid of failure, people just never get started. People say, for example, oh we are already in August so I'm going to finish this year and start what I always wanted to do this January. They've been saying that since 1998. So I'm just going to encourage people that life is short, life is precious, life is fragile, I've almost died a few times, I've lost people, and I have a really strong appreciation for how fragile life is. Some people go through life without any of those neardeath experiences or without any real huge loss in their lives, and they assume they have forever and that they'll get to it someday. So on the back of what Legacy just said, I'll had one more little thought, don't hear that and say, he's right and someday I will. Do It Now!
This is your shot, this is your one at bat. To use that baseball analagy or metaphor, some people get to that bat and they are just hoping to get walked. There are literally people that won't swing at anything and they're just praying to god, come on four balls and let me get on base through a walk. I'm not going to go down in history as the guy that was praying for a walk, I'm going to swing and I'll either go down swinging or I'll walk off with a grand slam. I encourage everyone to "Swing For The Fences"!

Today's new guest co-host is a multi-author, with his most recent project, Dear Billie. We're trying to help Ben get the word out there on his Kickstarter launch for this book.
Ben Miller was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, graduating Nazareth High School in Nazareth, PA in 1993. Immediately after high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and attended boot camp in Orlando, FL. Miller was then trained in Naval Intelligence and granted security clearance two levels above Top Secret with an additional compartment.
While working overseas with Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Two (VQ-2) during the Bosnian War, Miller began suffering crippling attacks that military doctors were unable to explain. Miller was transported back to America and based on his exemplary record, he was awarded an early Honorable Discharge. It was later determined by a team of doctors with the Department of Veterans Affairs that Miller suffered from Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia and PTSD, which were both deemed service-connected.
Miller elected to pursue a college degree at Lock Haven University, where he also joined the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. He graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Minor in Journalism. It would be four more years and a series of personal tragedies, before Miller began his literary career as a columnist with Exit Zero, a weekly magazine based in Cape May, NJ.
His initial writings were primarily historical in nature, though he also penned the occasional feature story and editorial. In 2008, Miller set his sights on a higher goal, when he created 'Donate My Weight', a campaign to use weight loss as a means to raise donations for food banks across America. He appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX news segments all over the country, along with a series of radio interviews and appearances on the 10! Show, Good Day Philadelphia and the Rachael Ray Show.
In July of 2009, Exit Zero Publishing released Miller's first book, The First Resort, a hardcover coffee table book that profiles America's first resort town, Cape May, NJ. The book features 300 full-color pages and details the city's history from 1609 to 2009, accentuated with over 500 pictures. The First Resort has been well received by critics, historians and fans of Cape May from around the world, selling out of its initial printing after only a few months. The Philadelphia Inquirer named it one of the 'Top 10 Coffee Table Books of 2009'.
Miller’s second book, In the Land of Exit Zero, was released in 2011. It’s a children’s book focusing on Cape May’s history and all the book’s illustrations are original oil paintings that were commissioned by the publisher. Cape May Moments is Miller’s third book about the region’s history and is currently being edited by the publisher.
As Miller’s disabilities worsened with each passing year, Panic Disorder and PTSD grew into generalized anxiety disorder and depression. Meanwhile, unexpected physical challenges arose, and Miller was diagnosed with severe spinal problems, Meniere's Disease and the autoimmune disorder, Rheumatoid Arthritis.
A husband and father of five, Miller continues to push back against his struggles and currently sees several private doctors on a regular basis, along with doctors from the VA. He is “Medically Retired” due to his disabilities and rated 100% disabled by the VA and Social Security. Nonetheless, Miller refuses to acquiesce to his conditions and give up living as productive a life as possible.
He is an avid volunteer with fundraising for families in need and non-profit organizations in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania and in Cape May, NJ. Miller has also voluntered his services to curate three critically-acclaimed museum exhibits for the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and is scheduled to open his fourth next Spring. For his volunteerism efforts, Miller has received citations and proclamations from the New Jersey Legislature, Senate of Pennsylvania, United States Senate, and the Department of Defense.
Miller’s newest book, Dear Billie – Salvation in the Poconos, is the telling of his personal story from a “top performer with unlimited potential” in the world of Naval Intelligence, to a man who struggles to lead any semblance of a normal life. This book digs deep into Miller’s past and opens doors that had been long locked away in his mind, sharing aspects of his life and faith to remind people that even in the most profound disappointments and personal suffering, there is always hope for a brighter future.

Ivor Cummins BE(Chem) CEng MIEI PMP® completed a Chemical Engineering in 1990. He has since spent over 25 years in corporate technical leadership and management positions, and was shortlisted in 2015 as one of the top 6 of 500 applicants for “Irish Chartered Engineer of the Year”. Ivor’s focus and specialty are leading teams in complex problem-solving scenarios. He has often led worldwide teams with over 60-70 engineers working on major technical issues; the largest of these involved product issues where hundreds of millions of dollars were in the balance.
Several years ago, Ivor encountered a complex technical challenge in his personal life. Receiving poor blood test results, he was unable to get solutions via the doctors consulted. He thus embarked on an intense period of biochemical research into the science of human metabolism. Within eight weeks he had resolved and optimized all of his blood test metrics. Also, he had shed over 15Kg of body fat with relative ease. In the following years, he continued his research on the many “root causes” of modern disease, from “cholesterol” through to insulin resistance. In order to help stem the tide of chronic disease in our modern population, he embarked on a personal mission to share the science and solutions. He began this process by giving corporate talks and releasing them on YouTube for the wider audience. He has since become a professional speaker of note, giving many public lectures and chairing interviews with worldwide health experts. Most notably he was invited by the President of the British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) to give a keynote talk on heart disease root causes, at their annual conference in London last October. All of Ivor’s public lectures and interviews are available on Ivor's YouTube channel, where well over a million views have been recorded to date:
His book on chronic disease root causes and resolution strategies (co-authored with Denver doctor Jeffry Gerber MD, FAAFP) was released in the US and Canada in March 2018. It has already received around 150 reviews on Amazon, of which ~97% are 5-stars, check out Eat Rich Live Long on Amazon!
His blog and other content is available at www.thefatemperor.com
From early 2018 Ivor has been fully funded by the Irish Heart Disease Awareness charity (www.IHDA.ie). This fulfills their mission in enabling all middle-risk people to access the power of the Coronary Artery Calcification scan (CAC). He has thus ramped up his passion to help the people help themselves – in a journey to health, weight-loss, and longevity.
Ivor lives in Dublin, Ireland, with his wife and five children.
