Sookie's rummaging in her attic produces two artifacts, one with the magic of nostalgia and the other with the magic of literal magic. She also weathers another mysterious attack at her place of business, which becomes a lot less mysterious when Sandra Pelt returns to the scene.

Sookie cleans out her attic and then gets firebombed at her place of work. Both turn out to be equally dramatic. Then she is drawn into yet more vampire drama between Eric, Pam, and their jerk boss Victor. It's a great time for everybody but Sookie.

This whole fairy situation is getting out of control. Amid dire warnings of fae-related danger, Sookie deals with a more mundane menace in the form of violent bigots. She also has to deal with her feuding ex-boyfriends, which for most people would be mundane but for Sookie is a supernatural threat.
