What is the key to listening? It's much simpler than you think. It's got nothing to do with eye contact, or reflecting back what you've heard. Listening has got nothing to do with mirroring someone's actions or nodding in the right place.
The true power of listening is in being present.
Elizabeth Lovius joins me on this week's podcast as we explore listening. When you realise how simple it really is I guarantee you'll listen to everyone differently.
What the world needs right now is a good listening to.
This podcast is one part of a short series that looks specifically at listening. Today I'm speaking former surgeon Dr Giles Croft. We explore how our capacity to listen greatly increases when we understand 'separate realities'. In other words we begin to see how we are all creating our individual interpretation and perception of the world.
In this rich conversation we explore:

Nature is a restorative and healing space of exploration and discovery.
Witnessing the cycles of nature as they daily unfold, is one of my deepest joys.
That is something that is mirrored by Ian Watson. Ian is a 3P facilitator and homeopath. He believes we all have a yearning to have nature present in our lives:
" It's is a requirement for us to participate in the natural world and to not be cut off from it."
In this podcast we explore the wisdom and deeper intelligence that is present in the natural world and we explore how this provides a wonderful gateway into exploring our true nature.

Caroline Brewer has a background in HR and at one time used to be a serial planner and organiser. She would learn tools, techniques and models to pass on to clients.
Now she's happy to turn up and allow conversations to flow without a specific structure in mind.
So what happened?
In this interview Caroline shares what happened.
"Before this understanding (the Inside Out understanding) my ego and self-preservation was top of the agenda"
Nowadays...
"I love to see peoples minds settle and they are in a different space... (to see) their innate resilience and resourcefulness"
Caroline runs retreats and conducts 'conscious conversations' with teachers - she's providing a space for a very different kind of interaction.

When Debra Simmons escaped an abusive relationship she thought her problems would be over.
However when the relationship with her children began to suffer she saw fresh problems emerge.
It was only when she came across her Inner Compass (through the Three Principles) that he began to realise that she was lost in a world of thought. She also realised that she had been trying to find something in her relationships to make her feel fulfilled:

Join Debra Simmons in this heart warming interview as she explains her journey from living a life of fear and insecurity to living in freedom, love and laughter.
What if there is a new take on mental illness?
What if the medical profession began to see beyond the diagnosis and labels?
One psychiatrist Dr Rani Bora, offers real hope to her patients.
Rather than focus on the transient thoughts and feelings, Rani wants her patients to see something that is beyond words.
She points to the deeper essence and intuitive knowing that there is more to life.
Several years ago she had a personal realisation about herself. She realised that she wasn't broken.
This has become an important message in her practice. Now she helps her patients see that they are 'lost' rather than 'broken'.
"Sometimes they get lost for short term and sometimes they can get lost for a long time but they're never broken"

What's the missing piece from the message of Christianity? That was the question Lizzie Paish kept asking herself.
When she came across the Inside-Out understanding, the Christian message began to resonate more fully for her. She saw that the philosophy of Inside Out which is 'to look within' is something that is also present (but often missed) in the Bible.
Bible passages have now taken on fresh energy as Lizzie continues to look within.
For example, the Bible often says 'Do not be afraid' or 'Fear not'. Lizzie sees this as reminding us that when we live in fear we are forgetting who we are. We forget we are connected to a spiritual essence.
In this fascinating and frank interview Liz and Lizzie explore Christianity through the lens of the Inner Compass understanding.
