Tomorrow at noon isn’t just another episode — it’s the final chapter of a voice that refused to play nice, refused to follow the herd, and refused to let the A’s story get twisted into something it never was. This episode looks back at the journey: the rebuild debates, the financial truth bombs, the prospect hype trains, the stadium wars, and the endless fight to separate facts from noise. Expect reflection, raw honesty, and the kind of straight talk that built a community that cared more about reality than comfort.
But this isn’t a funeral — it’s a victory lap. The show will focus on where the A’s stand right now, why the future is brighter than people want to admit, and why the next era of this franchise is set up to shock baseball. Think of it like the last scene of a sports movie where the stadium lights are still on, the crowd is still buzzing, and you know the story isn’t over — it’s just moving to a new chapter.

The A’s finally checked off the biggest box on the offseason grocery list: veteran starting pitching. Aaron Civale slides into a rotation that already had Luis Severino and Jeffrey Springs, giving this team three proven big-league starters — something they flat-out didn’t have last year. And that matters, because starting pitching is like having reliable tires on a race car. If they blow out, the whole thing crashes. Civale brings experience (100+ career starts) and a track record of being a mid-rotation stabilizer, even if his career ERA sits around 4.14 and injuries have popped up at times, including forearm, wrist, and hamstring issues in recent seasons.
The real story, though, isn’t the top three — it’s the war happening behind them. Luis Morales looks like the favorite to grab one spot after flashing legit swing-and-miss stuff and confidence late last year, while Jacob Lopez feels like the upside play if healthy. And make no mistake: the A’s need this competition to work. The rotation posted a 4.85 ERA last season, bottom tier in baseball, and that number alone explains why this team hovered around mid-70s wins instead of sniffing October.
This season is about raising the floor. Not hoping five guys stay healthy. Not duct-taping innings together. Real depth. Real options. And if two young arms step forward, suddenly this rotation goes from “please survive” to “hey… this might actually play.

The myth has always been simple: teams leave because they stop caring about fans. The reality is way more uncomfortable. This episode breaks down why modern sports franchises chase control — control of the building, control of the land, and control of the revenue machine that lives inside premium seating, naming rights, and year-round events. Using the Warriors arena shift and the A’s stadium journey as case studies, we explain why public stadium structures, legacy debt, and multi-agency approvals created financial ceilings that modern teams simply aren’t built to operate under anymore. This isn’t about betrayal. It’s about math versus emotion — and math doesn’t lose.
Then we flip to one of the biggest myths in baseball history: how a team could draw huge crowds, win big, and still lose money. Using the Walter Haas era as the blueprint, we break down how low ticket pricing, weak local TV money, massive payroll spikes, and stadium revenue splits can create the ultimate sports business paradox: packed stands, championship rosters… and financial losses. If you’ve ever wondered why attendance doesn’t equal profit, or why stadium control matters more than ever, this episode connects all the dots in a way nobody explains.

The A’s added veteran right-hander Aaron Civale on a one-year deal worth about $6 million, with incentives that can push it higher — a classic “prove it and cash in” type contract. Civale, now 30, is coming off a 2025 season where he bounced between multiple teams and finished with a 4.85 ERA across 102 innings, showing flashes of reliability even in a chaotic year. Over his career, he’s built a reputation as a steady innings guy who doesn’t overpower hitters but instead survives on command, pitch location, and forcing bad contact. In simple terms: he’s the pitcher who wins by making hitters beat themselves instead of trying to blow them away.
Zooming out, Civale is a former third-round pick who debuted in 2019 and has logged more than 700 career innings in the majors. His career stat line shows a pitcher who usually keeps games under control — not dominant, not flashy, but capable of giving you competitive starts when healthy. The biggest storyline of his career has been durability: finger issues, forearm inflammation, wrist problems, oblique strains, and even a hamstring strain have popped up over the years. When he’s healthy, he’s a dependable mid-rotation type arm. When he’s not, he’s a frustrating “almost there” guy. That’s the gamble — but also why he’s available at this price.

Spring training isn’t just warm-up baseball — it’s where seasons quietly get decided before most fans are even paying attention. This episode is built around that idea. The crew breaks down why the start of camp matters, even when the standings don’t, and why this particular spring feels different. There’s real optimism around this roster, but it’s the little battles that could shape the entire year — the fifth starter race, the third base situation, and a bullpen that could be electric or chaotic depending on who throws strikes. The conversation leans heavily into the future, spotlighting young arms like Jack Perkins, Gunnar Hoglund, and others who could quietly become major pieces if things click. There’s also honest talk about volatility — especially with relievers who can dominate one week and lose the zone the next. That tension is part of what makes this roster fascinating.
The second half shifts into something fans actually need: what spring training is really like if you go in person. Not the brochure version — the real version. Relaxed vibe, hardcore baseball fans sitting next to first-timers, prospects wearing random jersey numbers trying to change their lives. It’s baseball in its purest form. The episode closes on what spring always represents: clean slate, zero losses, and the dangerous kind of hope that only baseball can sell you. The tone is clear — this isn’t just another spring. This is the foundation of what the next version of the A’s is going to look like.

The A’s didn’t chase headlines — they chased solutions. This episode breaks down why the Scott Barlow signing matters way more than casual fans think, with Jeff Carr from Locked On Reds joining to give real insight from someone who watched Barlow pitch in pressure situations all season. The conversation gets into the good and the uncomfortable truth: swing-and-miss stuff, real late-inning experience, and the one factor that could decide everything — command. The big picture is simple: young bullpens lose games late. Veterans help you stop bleeding runs when the game gets loud. If the A’s want to turn close losses into wins, this is exactly the type of move that starts that shift.
Then the focus shifts to Andy Ibáñez — the kind of player contenders quietly rely on all year — before getting real about the Max Schuemann DFA and why the emotions around it are so complicated. Schuemann represents the grind, the underdog story, the guy fans want to succeed. But baseball isn’t built on feelings — it’s built on roster math, timing, and opportunity windows. The episode tackles the hardest question head-on: did he get a real shot, or did timing work against him? It’s honest, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s the reality of how big-league rosters actually work.

Tomorrow’s future doesn’t start under the bright lights — it starts in Low-A Stockton, and this episode tells you exactly why. Booney sits down with Stockton Ports broadcaster Tim Fitzgerald to pull the curtain back on the A’s pipeline: who’s real, who’s close, and who might be the sneaky name that hits you out of nowhere. They dig into Dylan Fien as a switch-hitting catcher with real tools (but a lot still to prove), break down why Cole Miller’s “pitchability” is the kind of weapon that plays at higher levels, and spotlight recent draft bats Devin Taylor and Gavin Turley as guys who already look like pros even while they’re still adjusting to the “everybody throws hard now” reality of pro ball.
Then it gets spicy with the ultimate curiosity case: Shotaro Mori, the two-way talent everyone wants to compare to Shohei Ohtani (and why that’s not fair, but still fascinating). The episode also checks in on Rodney Green’s boom-or-bust profile — big tools, real questions — before Fitzgerald drops his sleeper list, including Max Durrington and a few arms who look more polished than their “low-level” label suggests. Bottom line: this show isn’t hype. It’s a roadmap. If you want to know who could be impacting the A’s in 2028, 2029, 2030 and beyond, this is the episode that puts names, context, and reality behind the future.

Jacob Wilson just signed his extension — and instead of draining the budget, it exposed how much financial room the A’s still have to build something real. Tonight’s show breaks down the contract in plain English, why it’s actually team-friendly, and how it fits into the long-term vision of locking in a young core before they get expensive. This isn’t about one player — it’s about what this deal unlocks. In the second half, we run the numbers and show exactly how much money is still available this offseason. No spin. No excuses. Just real math, real payroll context, and real options. If the front office wants to win now and later, this is the blueprint. The narrative that the A’s are “handcuffed” financially ends tonight. For decades, the A’s have been treated like baseball’s favorite punchline — not because of what’s actually happening, but because of the story that keeps getting told about them. In this episode, we rip apart the half-truths, fear-based narratives, and recycled talking points that have followed this franchise since the first post-Haas selloff. From stadium “can’t fit” myths to funding scare tactics to selective outrage, we expose how a few loud voices turned confusion into certainty — and clicks into credibility — while never bothering to show the receipts.
This is about more than a ballpark. It’s about what happens when misinformation becomes the product and fans become collateral damage. We walk point-by-point through what’s real, what’s been twisted, and what’s been flat-out wrong — and why the truth actually gives this franchise something it hasn’t had in years: a fair shot. Say what you want about the A’s. Criticize, question, doubt — that’s all fair. But lying? That ends today

Ten Minutes of Reality strips away the noise and forces an honest look at the A’s story without spin, slogans, or sides. This episode is about how modern sports discourse has turned into loyalty tests instead of conversations, and why simply questioning the narrative now gets you labeled. Booney challenges that mindset, explaining why thinking for yourself is not betrayal — it’s responsibility.
The episode then reframes the A’s spending debate through a real-world lens: risk, return, and future value. Just like buying Apple when it looked dead, Netflix before streaming ruled, or a house in 2008, every decision is a calculated transfer of assets. Owners, fans, and critics are all running the same math — just at different scales. You don’t have to agree, but you should understand.
