The Denver Broncos are on a journey to make it back to the playoffs and to compete for the AFC West. New Broncos GM George Paton wants to help get Vic Fangio and the team there this upcoming season. Despite some speculative reports, the Broncos have kept a very tight lid on what their plans are for the off-season, some of these speculative reports have indicated that the team will not bring back Von Miller or Kareem Jackson. In retrospect, how realistic would it be for Denver to get back to the playoffs next year in what is a make or break season for Vic Fangio if Paton releases key contributors like Von Miller and Kareem Jackson? Cody Roark shuts down the outside speculation and discusses why the Broncos sit in a comfortable position to keep key players due to their available cap space. Plus, it's Top Three Thursday and Cody highlights the top three positional needs for 2021 and the top three interceptions from last season.

The Denver Broncos missed out on the impact that Von Miller would have provided the team last season, and despite his injury sidelining him for all of 2020, the team saw an increase in getting to the quarterback in comparison to 2019. Headlined by Bradley Chubb and Malik Reed, the Broncos depth at pass rusher provided them with enough impact to keep the Broncos competitively defensively all season long. Cody Roark takes a look at how the players at the edge rusher position played in 2020, and projects the outlook for them in 2021. Cody also touches on the two upcoming deadlines the Broncos organization is facing regarding the Franchise Tag Deadline with Justin Simmons on March 9th, and the club options on Kareem Jackson and Von Miller on March 17th.

The Denver Broncos and pending unrestricted free agent Justin Simmons are eyeing the franchise tag window that officially opens today across the National Football League. Under new General Manager George Paton, he has expressed how important it is that the Broncos retain their key young players, and he's stressed how important it is for the Broncos to retain Justin Simmons long-term. The hope is that the Broncos can now work on a long-term deal with Justin Simmons rather than placing the franchise tag on him for the 2nd year in a row.
