Today's Locked On Broncos brings the heat.
Cody Roark analyzes what the Broncos offense must do to improve in 2020. Specifically, the Broncos were a bottom ranked offense in terms of PPG and total yards. The difference was evident regarding the three quarterbacks the team went through last season, but with Lock in place, Cody highlights what Lock did well and where he could improve on. What could help increase the team's PPG and yardage -- a speedy fast WR in this year's draft class.
Cody also takes a look at the Broncos defense and discusses where they had success and where they had their struggles. DEN was a top defensive unit vs the pass and held the crown as the number one red zone defense. What can Denver to with the uncertainty of Chris Harris Jr being 50/50 on returning in 2020? DEN has one in-house candidate that could break out into a major role next season.

The Broncos held their end of the season press conferences with John Elway, Vic Fangio, and Joe Ellis. We heard from GM/President of Football Operations John Elway regarding the team's plans on player evaluation and what's factoring in to how they plan on doing it differently at the conclusion of the season. Cody believes the team's new approach is logical due to how fresh the season is as a whole, being able to evaluate the season without that freshness of emotional attachment to player evaluation which will help the team decide on where they head via Free Agency.
Elway also believes that Von Miller was right to express his comments on feeling frustrated this season after the Chiefs loss. He also mentions that he believes Von has a lot of football left in him and that he can play even better -- as the team exercised his contract option for 2020 which brings him back for his 10th season.
Cody also discusses with Broncos Country his Broncos All-Decade Team from every offensive, and defensive positions alongside which coaches and coordinators get recognition for their accolades from 2010-2019.

Today's episode of Locked On Broncos previews what to watch for on Sunday when the Raiders come to town.
Cody and Cameron discuss Drew Lock's comments about how much Von Miller has meant to him from the moment he became a Denver Bronco. Von Miller initiated a jersey exchange with Lock last Sunday after the Broncos 27-17 win over the Lions. Miller mentioned he believes Lock is the future of the Denver Broncos and wanted a jersey because he knows how much that jersey will be worth someday. This led Cody and Cameron to discuss the false narrative that many have spread out there that Von Miller is not a leader.
For the keys to the game, Cody discusses the importance of the Broncos finding a way to get to Derek Carr regardless of Oakland's quick passing game and that the Broncos offense must capitalize in the red-zone against Oakland's 30th ranked red-one defense.
Cody and Cameron also discuss their players to watch for #OAKvsDEN as Cody highlights Chris Harris Jr matching up against Tyrell Williams and how it will be critical for the secondary to avoid giving up big plays down the field unlike their first matchup against the Raiders. Cameron discusses why Jake Rodgers potentially getting the start at RT is something to keep an eye on considering Ja'Wuan James and Elijah Wilkinson's injuries.
