The numbers for the Broncos are skewed in terms of the scope of the season where the Broncos from Week 1-17 rank 28th in total net yards per game in comparison to the Raiders who are ranked 14th with 362.6 yards per game. Defensively the Broncos sit as a Top 10 unit allowing only 327.7 yards per game in comparison to the Raiders who allow 362.6 yards per game which puts them as the 21st ranked defense.

The Broncos improved to 6-9 on the season with a 27-17 win over the visiting Detroit Lions at Empower Field at Mile High.
Despite facing an early 10-0 deficit due to a special teams error, the Broncos locked in behind smart quarterback play from Drew Lock who played his best game as a pro to date. Lock went 25/33 passing for 192 yards and 1 TD and no interceptions. With Courtland Sutton facing double teams and bracket coverage, Lock connected with DaeSean Hamilton as his target of the day. Hamilton would haul in 6 receptions for 65 yards and a score.
The Broncos defense held the Lions to under 200 total yards of offense powered by 4 sacks and solid contribution across the board by the defensive unit.

A game that many in Broncos Country would like to forget -- the first showdown between Drew Lock and Patrick Mahomes didn't get off to the right hand for the Broncos because of poor field conditions, penalties, and the Denver defense's inability to stop the Chiefs connection between Mahomes and Kelce.
